Wolf Ranch’s Genesis Collection is a 100-home community in Georgetown, Texas, built by Lennar with ICON’s 3D-printed wall technology and designed by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG). ICON records the project as completed in 2025. The homes are not printed from foundation to finish: a large robot printed their wall systems, while roofing, utilities and interior work followed through conventional construction.
Where the homes are and who built them
The Genesis Collection is part of the Wolf Ranch community in Georgetown, north of Austin. ICON identifies itself as the builder and BIG as the designer; Lennar developed the 100 homesites with ICON and is the homebuilder and seller. ICON’s project page names the printing system as its Vulcan Block 3-4 printer.
What “3D-printed home” means at Wolf Ranch
The printed part: the walls
ICON’s Vulcan printer deposited material layer by layer to form the homes’ wall systems. Reuters described the machine as more than 45 feet wide and weighing 4.75 tons. The single-story, three- and four-bedroom homes took about three weeks to print their walls, Reuters reported in 2024.
The work that still followed
Printing the walls was one stage of a larger homebuilding process, not a complete house delivered by a printer. Reuters reported that conventional roofing, utilities and interior finishing came after the walls were printed. The roughly three-week figure applies to wall printing, not the full construction schedule or the time from reservation to move-in.

Plans, sizes and listed features
ICON’s project page lists eight floor plans and 24 elevations, with homes ranging from 1,500 to 2,100 square feet. Lennar’s listing identifies rooftop solar panels, connected-home features and a Wolf Ranch security package. These are project and listing details; they do not establish the performance or operating cost of any individual home.
Prices and availability
Prices have varied by listing and date. Reuters reported an approximate range in 2024; Lennar’s 2026 listing displays specific Genesis Collection prices while also reporting that no homes are currently available.

These figures are not a like-for-like quote for a specific home: price and availability can change, and the 2024 Reuters figures describe an earlier point in sales. Check Lennar’s Genesis Collection listing for current inventory and details before making plans.
Timeline: from construction start to completion
Lennar announced on November 10, 2022, that construction was underway and that reservations would begin in 2023. Reuters reported that ICON began printing the Wolf Ranch walls in November 2022. In August 2024, Reuters said the printer was finishing the final homes; ICON’s project page records the community as completed in 2025. The distinction matters: a report about final construction in 2024 does not mean the neighborhood was already recorded as complete then.

What living with thick printed walls can mean for Wi-Fi
Reuters reported that residents found the thick concrete walls could weaken wireless signals, even as they provide insulation. ICON’s spokeswoman said most homeowners use mesh routers, which place multiple access points around the home. For a buyer or resident, the practical takeaway is to plan Wi-Fi coverage around the home’s layout: a mesh system can distribute access points more effectively than relying on a single router, though coverage will depend on the specific house and equipment.

Wolf Ranch demonstrates a large residential application of robotic wall printing: 100 homes, multiple plans and a defined role for the printed wall system within a broader construction sequence. It also shows why “3D-printed” should not be mistaken for “entirely machine-built.” Conventional work remained necessary after printing, and the project’s reported wall-printing time is not a measure of total build time.

The documented project details establish its size, plans, listed features, construction method and reported prices. They do not by themselves establish comparative durability, resilience, long-term energy savings, or whether the process is cheaper or faster overall than conventional construction. Those outcomes would require evidence beyond the project specifications and reporting cited here.
