Which tool suits the job?
Impact wrench: fastening and removal work
The 18V ONE+ Brushless 4-Mode 1/2-inch impact wrench is the choice for loosening or driving fasteners, rather than a general-purpose drill. SlashGear describes three speeds plus Auto Mode, up to 1,170 pound-feet of breakaway torque, LED worklights, and a cushioned grip. Those are published product specifications, not independent test results.

The article reports that the $159 kit includes a 4.0 Ah battery and charger. The Home Depot has an official product result for a bundle that includes the brushless 4-mode wrench, confirming the tool appears in a real bundle, but that does not verify this specific $159 kit or its live contents. Match the exact model and included accessories on the current product page before comparing it with a bare-tool price.
Tripod light: broad indoor task lighting
The Hybrid TriPOWER light is reported to deliver up to 3,800 lumens through four adjustable panels, with high, medium, low, and single-panel modes. Its tripod extends to seven feet, and its head pivots 135 degrees. SlashGear says it can run on an 18V ONE+ battery, a 40V battery, or an extension cord, and is compatible with the ONE+ Tool Mount storage system.

The same article says the kit includes one 18V battery but no charger. It also describes the light as indoor-only and not weather-resistant. That makes it a poor choice for a jobsite where it could be exposed to rain or damp conditions; confirm the product’s safety and operating guidance for the intended location.
File sander: narrow, detailed sanding
The 1/2-inch by 18-inch belt format is intended for tight corners and furniture details where a wider sander may not fit. SlashGear lists variable speed, tool-free belt changes, and a lock-on switch, and says the tool can finish surfaces or remove material on wood and metal.

The article also cites up to 90 minutes of runtime, which depends on battery and settings rather than representing a guaranteed work interval.
Hybrid fan: portable airflow
The 7-1/2-inch Hybrid WHISPER SERIES fan is reported to have three speeds, a 160-degree pivoting head, and the option to run from an extension cord. SlashGear describes it as useful at campsites, sports events, and during power outages. The reported kit includes a 2.0 Ah battery and charger.

- Search the current Home Depot or RYOBI listing by the complete tool name and model number, not just “Ryobi impact wrench” or “fan.”
- Compare the live price with the October 1 SlashGear claim, and check whether the page shows a sale, a regular price, or a different bundle.
- Open the package contents and verify battery capacity, battery quantity, and whether a charger is included. A battery bundle is not equivalent to a bare tool.
- Confirm stock, delivery or pickup availability, and any stated offer end date for your location. These details can change independently of an article’s publication date.
- For the tripod light, verify that indoor-only use is suitable for the work area; do not assume weather resistance.
RYOBI and Home Depot maintain changing savings assortments, but their savings pages do not establish that all four October offers are active. Home Depot’s official 2026 Labor Day promotion ran August 27 through September 9, before these October claims. It listed a RYOBI ONE+ 18V four-tool combo kit for $199, down from $249, and a RYOBI 40V HP Whisper Series blower kit for $279, down from $349. Those were dated September promotions, not proof of October pricing.
