It combines a reported dual-cylinder compressor, double-row condenser and maximum airflow of 1,500 m³/h.
This is a China-market appliance, not a new 2026 launch. Anyone considering import should verify electrical requirements, refrigerant compliance, installation, warranty and Mi Home region support before ordering.
What exactly did Xiaomi launch?
The product is a Mijia-branded, wall-mounted inverter split air conditioner, identified in Chinese retail and teardown coverage as model 72GW-NA30/M1A1. “3HP” is a Chinese air-conditioner capacity category, not a literal statement that the compressor has three mechanical horsepower. Correct sizing still depends on a room’s heat load, insulation, glazing, ceiling height, climate and occupancy.

Do not confuse it with the vertical cabinet model
Xiaomi has also used the Natural Wind Pro name for a floor-standing, dual-outlet 3HP cabinet air conditioner. That separate product was reported with 1,710 m³/h airflow and launch pricing from ¥6,799 (IT之家). A later color release is covered at IT之家. Those figures do not describe the wall-mounted 72GW-NA30/M1A1.

What the dual-cylinder compressor actually tells you
A twin- or dual-cylinder rotary compressor uses two compression chambers or cylinders in a configuration intended to improve balance and manage vibration across changing loads. It may support smoother modulation, but the component alone does not prove that this air conditioner is quieter, more efficient or more durable than every single-cylinder competitor.
Xiaomi presents the compressor alongside its “Lingyun Intelligent Control Engine,” which is described as managing temperature control, vibration suppression and airflow selection. Those are manufacturer system claims; the launch material does not provide an independent, apples-to-apples test showing the size of any advantage.

What “Natural Wind” means
Natural Wind describes how the indoor unit distributes air, not an outdoor-air ventilation system. The reported modes are:
- Sky curtain: air is directed across the upper part of the room.
- Carpet: air is directed lower into the room.
- Surround: broader circulation around occupants or through the room.
These names describe airflow direction and comfort modes rather than an independent technical standard. The product should not be treated as a fresh-air ventilator merely because it uses “Natural Wind” in its name. How useful are 1,500 m³/h and APF 4.75?
Airflow is not room-size guidance
The reported 1,500 m³/h figure is the volume of air the indoor unit can move under the relevant condition. It does not directly predict pull-down speed, temperature uniformity, noise or energy use. A contractor should size the system from a cooling-load calculation rather than convert “3HP” into a universal floor-area rule. Oversizing a bedroom can produce short cycling and uncomfortable air distribution even when the unit has ample capacity.
APF is a Chinese seasonal metric
APF, or annual performance factor, represents seasonal heating and cooling efficiency in China. APF 4.75 cannot be treated as equivalent to US SEER, SEER2, EER or HSPF, or as a simple promise of 4.75 units of cooling for every unit of electricity in every home.

The advertised 629 kWh annual saving depends on the comparison appliance, operating schedule, climate, set points, electricity price and test assumptions. Smart-home functions and construction implications
Reported functions include remote control, scheduling, temperature and mode selection, remote power control and XiaoAI voice commands through the Mijia/Mi Home ecosystem. Before specifying an imported unit, confirm whether it binds outside mainland China, requires the China server region, supports the homeowner’s language and works with local XiaoAI services.
For installation, verify the nameplate voltage and frequency, breaker and cable requirements, refrigerant type, pipe sizes, condensate routing, outdoor-unit mounting and local certification. A local contractor may decline a non-market model, and control boards, sensors, remotes and compressor parts may not be stocked in the destination country.
Cleaning and extreme-temperature claims
The reported 58°C indoor self-cleaning cycle and outdoor-unit cleaning function may help with moisture and surface contamination. They do not guarantee a clean filter, blower wheel or condensate drain, nor do they eliminate periodic inspection and professional service.

Likewise, −35°C heating and 65°C cooling are Xiaomi’s advertised operating-range claims. They should not be interpreted as full rated heating capacity at −35°C, full rated cooling capacity at 65°C or guaranteed operation under every installation condition. The historical China launch pricing was ¥5,499 during the introductory or crowdfunding period and ¥5,999 as the listed retail price. Chinese JD listings still identify the 72GW-NA30/M1A1, including the product-category page at JD.com, but the available evidence does not establish a reliable current 2026 price or inventory level.
