If your UPLIFT desk is stuck, moving only one way, or showing an error, first clear everything beneath it and try the manufacturer’s reset sequence: hold Down for 10 seconds until the display shows ASr or the Advanced Paddle Keypad shows RESET. Release, then hold Down again until the desk lowers slightly, rises, and stops. Reset wording and steps vary by desk generation, so match the procedure to your keypad and control box.
Before troubleshooting, make the area safe
The reset takes the desk to its lowest position. Remove boxes, tools, chairs, and other objects from underneath it, and keep hands and feet clear of the frame while it moves. Check above and beside the desktop as well for anything the desk could hit.
UPLIFT’s troubleshooting guide gives the current quick-reset sequence: hold the Down button for 10 seconds. A display keypad should show “ASr”; the Advanced Paddle Keypad should show “RESET.” Release the button, then hold Down again until the desk lowers slightly, rises, and stops. If it does not move, UPLIFT says to try that step again.
Do not assume this sequence applies identically to every UPLIFT desk. The assembly and programming instructions and the V2 and V2-Commercial FAQ describe reset steps differently. Identify your keypad and control-box generation, then follow the matching official instructions.

Try the basic checks first
- Look for an obstruction. Check under, above, and beside the desk for anything blocking its travel.
- Check the control box. Make sure it is secured firmly and sits flush as intended.
- Check power and connections. Verify the outlet works and that the power and cable connections are secure.
- Inspect nearby cords. A cable that is caught, pulled taut, or touching the frame can interfere with movement or trigger anti-collision behavior.
Once the path is clear and connections are checked, try the reset sequence. If the desk remains unresponsive or displays an error, use the instructions for its specific model and code rather than swapping cables or repeating generic steps.
If the desk only goes down, or moves and then stops
When the desk moves in only one direction or stops partway through travel, first check for contact or tension around the frame, desktop, and cables. Confirm that the control box is seated correctly, then run the reset with the area below the desk clear.
If it still stops, UPLIFT says anti-collision sensitivity can be adjusted through keypad settings. The exact setting path depends on the keypad; consult the instructions for your model rather than assuming a menu sequence.
What to do about E01–E06 and E07–E12
UPLIFT’s current troubleshooting page separates codes E01–E06 from E07–E12. The latter group can require advanced diagnosis, including checking leg-cable ports. Which procedure applies depends on whether the desk has two, three, or four legs and on the type of control box.

Use the guide’s steps for the exact code and configuration. Advanced cable checks require disconnecting power before changing connections. In procedures that compare codes after moving leg cables between ports, record the original code and each code change; do not assume port assignments or diagnostic results transfer between different desk configurations.

H01: let the motor and control box cool
UPLIFT identifies H01 as an overheated control-box or motor condition and recommends letting it cool before operating the desk again. Avoid repeatedly pressing the controls while the warning is displayed.
The Advanced Paddle Keypad instructions describe a 10% motor duty cycle: in a 20-minute period, two minutes of motor activation should be followed by 18 minutes of rest. That is the manual’s guidance for the stated cycle, not a reason to keep testing a desk that is already displaying H01.
When to contact UPLIFT support
If the reset and basic checks do not resolve the problem, contact UPLIFT with the first error code, any code changes observed during the applicable advanced diagnosis, and the steps already attempted. Include the desk and control-box details if available so support can direct you to the right procedure.

After further troubleshooting, UPLIFT support may determine that a cable, leg, or control box needs replacement. Confirm the exact part’s compatibility with support before ordering; the symptom alone does not establish which component is faulty.
