The highest figure in a widely repeated historical bathtub countdown is $1.7 million for a tub called Le Grand Queen—but that number, like the ranking itself, is an unverified claim from a 2016 blog post, not a confirmed sale or current valuation. The list below preserves that post’s order and prices while identifying what other sources do—and do not—corroborate.

What makes these tubs command attention?

Not as a verified, current fact. The $1.7 million figure is the top entry in the Alfano Group’s 2016 countdown, which claims a sale but does not provide independently confirmed transaction evidence in the sources reviewed here. Forbes’s 2018 gallery supports the existence of a featured Baldi rock-crystal design, but not the price claims attached to it elsewhere. The defensible conclusion is that $1.7 million is a reported historical figure, not a proven record price.
