The BR 800 X and BR 800 C-E figures come from STIHL USA’s 2025 blower comparison chart. The BR 600 figures are from STIHL USA’s current BR 600 product page, surfaced in 2026. Specifications can differ in how airflow is presented, so compare measurement basis and nozzle configuration rather than relying on a single number.
Which model fits your work?
BR 800 X MAGNUM: maximum gas power
The BR 800 X is the clearest pick when your priority is the strongest gas option in STIHL’s lineup for extensive cleanup. STIHL describes it as the “Most powerful gas backpack blower in the STIHL range.” Its 2025 chart specifications are 79.9 cc displacement, 23.1 lb, 239 mph air velocity and 912 cfm air volume. BR 800 C-E MAGNUM: BR 800 alternative, with a recall check
The BR 800 C-E is another option for large properties and demanding cleanup. STIHL’s 2025 chart lists the same displacement and airflow figures as the X, but a higher listed weight: 25.8 lb versus 23.1 lb. Review the model’s current listing and controls with a dealer to confirm they suit your preferences. Most importantly, check the recall status of the exact unit: STIHL’s notice covers specified BR 800 Magnum X and C-E models, not every BR 800. The recall details are below.

BRA 600: battery power for noise-sensitive work
Choose the BRA 600 if avoiding a gas engine and working more quietly are central considerations. STIHL describes it as a very quiet professional blower suited to noise-reduced areas. The listed product is sold without battery or charger, and STIHL recommends the AP 300.0 P battery. Account for the cost and availability of the compatible battery system if you do not already own it; do not assume a specific runtime for your property or debris conditions. How to choose for a yard or job site
Start with area and debris load
STIHL says backpack blowers are suited to larger areas, longer run times and commercial-grade work. For a large property with heavy cleanup needs, the BR 800 X’s top-of-range gas positioning is relevant. Consider carrying weight, not just airflow
Published weights make the distinction between the BR 800 variants clear: the C-E is listed at 25.8 lb and the X at 23.1 lb. The BR 600 page lists 22.3 lb. These are manufacturer-listed device weights; equipment configuration and how a blower feels during a long work session are separate considerations. If possible, handle the models at a dealer before deciding.

Match the power source to your noise and battery needs
The gas models suit buyers prioritizing gas-powered cleanup capacity. The BRA 600 offers a battery alternative for work where quieter operation is important. Its unit-only listing means battery and charger are separate considerations, and an existing compatible battery can affect the economics of the choice. No workload-specific runtime is established in the cited product information.
Compare airflow figures carefully
Air velocity (mph) and air volume (cfm) describe different aspects of airflow. The BR 600’s stated maximum velocity and throughput specify a round nozzle, while the BR 800 chart lists its values without the same phrasing. Do not treat figures from different source formats as a controlled head-to-head test; consult the model’s current specifications and verify the included nozzle/configuration with the dealer.

BR 800 recall: verify the exact unit
STIHL’s recall notice says the fan wheel recall applies to BR 800 Magnum X and C-E models sold by authorized independent dealers nationwide from July 2025 through September 2025. That date range describes the identified sales window; it does not establish that every unit of either model is affected. Owners and prospective buyers should use STIHL’s official BR 800 recall instructions to check the specific unit and follow the stated remedy before operating it if it is affected.
The recall notice cited historical approximate sale prices of $600 for the BR 800 X Magnum and $700 for the C-E during that window. Those are not current prices. Pricing and stock vary by dealer and location; confirm current details with an authorized STIHL dealer.
