On most Samsung slide-in electric ranges with a conventional control panel, press Clock, enter the time, then press Clock or START/SET to save it. If your range has Smart Dial, use Menu > Set time and turn and push the dial. The exact controls vary by model and country, so follow your display prompts and check the manual for your range if these steps do not match.
Set the clock with a Clock button and keypad

Press Clock or the clock icon once. Use a short press: holding the button for three seconds opens Settings on some models.

If the display prompts you to choose AM or PM, press Clock again to select the correct one. Skip this step if your display uses 24-hour time or does not show the prompt.

Enter the hours and minutes using the number pad or directional controls, depending on your range. For example, Samsung’s guide uses 1, 3, 0 to enter 1:30 on a number pad.

If you enter the wrong time, press Clear to start over if your panel has that button.

Press Clock or START/SET to save. The display should show the updated time.
The final confirmation button depends on the model. For example, the reproduced manual for the NE58F9710WS/AA specifies Clock, another Clock press to choose AM/PM, number-pad entry, then Clock or Oven Start/Set to save. Use that sequence only if you have this model: NE58F9710WS/AA manual reproduction.

Set the clock on a Smart Dial range
Samsung says Smart Dial sleep mode activates after two minutes of inactivity; when the panel is asleep, it displays only the time. Push or turn the knob to wake it if needed.

Switch between 12-hour and 24-hour time
On Smart Dial models, open Menu > Time format, choose 12hr or 24hr with the dial, then push the knob to save. Menu options and labels can vary by model.
Why the clock may need resetting
A power outage is one reason the displayed time may need to be reset. Samsung says an accurate clock is also needed for automatic oven features to work properly, including delayed cooking and Sabbath mode. See Samsung Canada’s clock-setting guide, updated July 2, 2026.

Clock button opens another screen: Press it briefly rather than holding it; on some models, a three-second hold opens Settings.

AM/PM prompt is missing: Follow the display. Your range may use 24-hour time or may not require a separate AM/PM selection.

You mistyped the time: Use Clear to restart the entry if that button is available.

The controls reject the change during an oven cycle: Check your model’s manual. The reproduced NE58F9710WS/AA manual says that model does not allow changing the time during timed cooking, delay-timed cooking, or self-cleaning; that restriction should not be assumed for every Samsung range.

Your buttons or menus differ: Find the manual for the exact model and country. Samsung’s support page for the NE63T8751SG/AC smart electric slide-in range, for example, lists model-specific manuals.

These are general paths, not a universal sequence for every Samsung range. Samsung’s guide is for ranges sold in Canada and notes that settings may differ in other countries. Check the manual for your exact model if the controls, prompts, or confirmation action do not match.
