That supports the headline’s size claim, but it does not prove the machine can cut every plywood sheet, grade or thickness: ACMER has not published an X1 plywood thickness limit or independent cutting results.
What ACMER means by full-sheet processing
The X1’s largest announced format measures 1250 × 2450 mm. ACMER specifically says that configuration is intended for “full-sheet processing,” as well as wall art, large signage and doors. The dimensions are close to a common nominal 4 × 8-foot plywood sheet, which is why this format stands out from the company’s smaller desktop machines.
That is a statement about the machine’s announced format and intended use—not a published plywood cutting specification. The announcement does not state the usable clearance around a loaded sheet, how it is held in place, or whether the full nominal area is available for cutting. ACMER has also not published an X1 plywood thickness limit, measured cut time, kerf, pass count or feed rate. So the available information does not establish that any particular sheet can be cut through, or that a full-sheet job can be completed in one pass.
What the ACMER X1 is
ACMER Technology Co., Ltd. announced the X1 on September 2, 2025, describing it as a 3-in-1 platform that combines a 120W diode laser, a 4W IR laser and a CNC router system. Quick-swap modular heads include a CNC milling head, so the machine is intended to handle both laser work and milling rather than being only a laser engraver.

Easy assembly, Windows/macOS/Linux compatibility, and support for ACMER Studio, LightBurn, and LaserGRBL make it easy to start and flexible enough to grow with your projects.
ACMER says the X1 has liquid cooling designed to avoid thermal roll-off during long sessions and claims support for more than 500 material types. Those are manufacturer claims; they are not independent test results or a substitute for specifications on a particular plywood job. The announcement does not state the X1’s CNC tooling limits, power draw, software compatibility, dust-extraction requirements or safety certification.
How the X1 compares with ACMER’s P2 and P3
The P2 and P3 provide scale for ACMER’s existing laser machines, but their specifications should not be transferred to the X1. The figures below are those listed on ACMER’s respective product pages; the X1 column reflects details in its announcement.

| Machine | Working area or announced format | Laser and CNC details | Plywood and other listed specifications |
|---|---|---|---|
| ACMER X1 | Three announced formats: 800 × 800 mm, 1250 × 1250 mm and 1250 × 2450 mm (ACMER launch announcement) | 120W diode laser, 4W IR laser and CNC router system; quick-swap heads, including a CNC milling head (ACMER launch announcement) | Plywood thickness limit, measured cut performance and X1 software compatibility: not stated in the announcement. |
| ACMER P2 | 420 × 400 mm for the 20W configuration shown on ACMER’s P2 page | 20W and 33W variants are listed; optional 33W and 1064 nm modules are described by ACMER. CNC capability: not stated on the cited P2 page. | Up to 25 mm plywood cutting is listed on ACMER’s P2 page. The page also documents a safety key, emergency stop and tilt detection that stops the machine when tilt exceeds 15 degrees. |
| ACMER P3 | 400 × 400 mm work area (ACMER P3 page) | 48W laser; CNC capability: not stated on the cited P3 page. | ACMER lists up to 30 mm plywood cutting, 45 mm dark-acrylic cutting and maximum engraving speed of 800 mm/s. Listed software includes ACMER Studio, LightBurn and LaserGRBL. |
The P2 and P3 cutting figures are ACMER-listed specifications for those models, not independent test results—and they do not predict the X1’s plywood performance. The P2’s documented safety features likewise do not establish X1 certification or safety equipment.
