Chrome Unboxed reported on April 9, 2026 that Best Buy sold one wired 2K Nest Cam Outdoor (2nd Gen) for $119.99 (listed as $30 off $149.99) and a two-pack for $199.99 (listed as $50 off). Check the retailer’s live page for today’s price, pack size and stock before buying.
Google’s store page lists the camera from $199.99, but that starting price does not verify a current Best Buy promotion. The exact model is the Nest Cam Outdoor (wired, 2nd gen).
What the reported Nest Cam Outdoor deal included
| Package | Price reported April 9, 2026 | Reported saving | Reported price per camera |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single camera | $119.99 | $30 off a stated $149.99 regular price | $119.99 |
| Two-pack | $199.99 | $50 off | $100 |
These figures come from Chrome Unboxed’s April 9, 2026 report and describe that promotion only. They are not evidence that the same offer remains available now. Google’s indexed store page shows a starting price of $199.99; it is not a current Best Buy price confirmation. Verify the retailer listing, seller, delivery area and return terms before treating either package as a live deal.
Is the two-pack the better value?
At the reported prices, the two-pack cost $100 per camera, while the single camera cost $119.99. That makes the two-pack cheaper per unit only if you actually need two cameras and both locations can support the installation requirements.

What you get for the price
According to Google’s Nest Cam Outdoor (wired, 2nd gen) specifications, the camera has a 2K (2560 × 1440) sensor, up to 2K at 30 frames per second with HDR, a 152-degree diagonal field of view, 6× digital zoom, 24/7 live view and night vision with HDR.
It is a wired outdoor camera
The camera uses 12V, 0.75A power and includes an 18-foot (5.5 m) outdoor-rated cable. Continuous wired power avoids routine battery charging, but placement depends on a suitable power route and may require drilling or electrical work.

Cloud history is plan-dependent
Google’s store description includes six hours of event-video previews, with clips up to 10 seconds. Separately sold Google Home Premium plans add longer history: the store page describes up to 30 days of event history with Standard and up to 60 days with Advanced. Advanced also supports up to 10 days of continuous 24/7 history. Plan names, features and geographic availability can change, so confirm the current offer in your Google Home account.
Compatibility and network requirements
- You need Wi-Fi, a Google Account and the Google Home app.
- Google lists support for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi.
- Google says 2K availability requires at least 3.3 Mbps connectivity speed.
- The camera is not compatible with the Nest app or home.nest.com.
That last point matters if the rest of your cameras are managed in the older Nest app: setup and viewing for this model use Google Home instead.

- If your Wi-Fi goes down or there’s a power outage, Nest Cam will store up to an hour of recorded events so you can see what you missed[4]. Nest Cam Outdoor comes with a wall plate that can be mounted on your brick wall.
- Put Nest Cam anywhere, outside or in; it’s battery powered, so you don’t need to set it up near an outlet, and the magnetic mount makes installation effortless
- For continuous power and 24/7 video recording with Nest Aware Plus, add a weatherproof power cable or indoor stand with power cable (both sold separately)
Installation checks before ordering
- Plan the power route. Measure from the proposed mount to an appropriate outdoor-rated socket and account for the 18-foot cable. If there is no power connection, Google’s installation guidance says a junction box is needed.
- Choose a protected location. Google recommends a shaded position, such as under an eave, to reduce direct sun and glare. The specified operating range is −4°F to 104°F (−20°C to 40°C).
- Confirm weather exposure. Google specifies IP65 under IEC 60529 when the device leaves the factory, but describes it as water- and dust-resistant, not waterproof. Resistance can diminish after aging, damage, repair or disassembly.
- Gather tools. The box includes the camera, magnetic wall mount, weather-resistant power adapter, screws, anchors and cable clips. Google lists a #2 Phillips screwdriver, drill with an appropriate bit and a level as installation tools.
- Check Wi-Fi at the mount. A strong connection at the router does not guarantee a strong signal outdoors; test the intended location before finalizing the mount.
Use Google’s installation instructions for the mounting sequence and safety details. Its camera-placement guidance covers positioning considerations.
What to verify when you open a deal page
- It says wired, 2nd gen, not a battery model or another Nest Cam generation.
- The displayed price applies to the selected pack size and is not a membership-only or limited-time checkout discount.
- The retailer actually has stock and ships to your address.
- The listing identifies the seller and provides applicable warranty and return information.
- You can supply outdoor-rated power and Wi-Fi at every planned camera position.
Bottom line on the $50 claim
The “save up to $50” wording accurately describes Chrome Unboxed’s April 9, 2026 report for the two-pack at $199.99. It does not establish a live October 2026 offer. Treat $119.99 for one and $199.99 for two as historical reference prices, then use the retailer’s current listing to decide whether the deal still exists.
