Dyson Link instructions still appear in support material for older or previously connected machines, so seeing both names does not necessarily mean your app or machine is out of date. MyDyson includes product-specific controls, personalization, reports and maintenance help; its 24/7 support claim refers to digital assistance, not round-the-clock access to a human agent in every market.
What happened to the Dyson Link app?
Dyson presents MyDyson as its current consumer app for managing products, personalized features and support. The app covers beauty, oral care, air treatment, floorcare and audio. Dyson’s app page describes it as a way to “Easily manage your Dyson products, enjoy personalized features, and get expert support – right at your fingertips.” Dyson’s app page

The change is a rebranding and consolidation, not evidence that every Dyson Link reference or setup path has disappeared. Dyson support documentation continues to give Dyson Link instructions for some older or already-connected machines. Owners may therefore encounter both names while setting up or troubleshooting a product.

Dyson also documents smart-home connections with Siri, Alexa and Google Home, along with schedules, performance information, maintenance alerts, troubleshooting and automatic software updates. Voice integrations and other functions vary by country and product; a feature listed for one device should not be assumed to work on every Dyson machine.
Does MyDyson provide 24/7 support?
Dyson’s Singapore page labels a feature “Tailored 24/7 support.” In the United States, Dyson says, “Our Dyson Digital Assistant is available 24/7.” Dyson US contact page

These claims support continuous access to digital or in-app assistance; they do not establish that a human expert is available at all hours. On the US contact page, human expert hours are listed as 7am–12am CST, and phone hours are narrower. Availability and channels depend on the market, so check the contact options for your country if you need a person.
How to update from Dyson Link to MyDyson
- Open the iPhone App Store or Google Play and search for MyDyson™.
- If Dyson Link is already installed, check its store listing for an available update. Otherwise, install MyDyson and sign in with your My Dyson account.
- Follow the app’s prompts to connect your product. If you are following instructions for an older machine, Dyson’s support pages may still refer to Dyson Link; use the steps documented for that model.
- Check that the app and machine software are current if a feature is missing. Dyson says some functionality depends on current machine software, and availability can also vary by product and country.
Google Play lists September 4, 2026 as the MyDyson Android app’s update date. That is the store’s listed app update date, not a guarantee that every device received the update or supports every feature.

- Legacy setup: Older machines may have support instructions that still mention Dyson Link. Follow the guidance for your exact model rather than assuming the reference indicates a broken app.
