How the tested picks compare
The available evaluations use different methods, so their results are not a direct head-to-head ranking. Countertop Advisor says it tested seven trivets for 142 hours, placing 600°F cast iron, 450°F casseroles, and freshly glazed pottery on them. Testix says it began with hands-on reviews of nine models, analyzed more than 2,100 customer reviews, and tested cast-iron pots heated to 220°C for 10 minutes. Those are the sources’ reported methods, not tests conducted for this article.

A rating is a product claim, while that no-mark result describes one source’s test; neither guarantees performance on every countertop or under every use condition.
