What a food mill does—and when it helps
A food mill is a hand-operated tool for grinding and puréeing cooked foods. As you turn its crank, a blade pushes food through a perforated disc. Cuisipro Deluxe Food Mill: compare if the sweeping scraper matters
A 2026 roundup includes the Cuisipro Deluxe and describes three discs and a sweeping blade. A Cuisipro search result describes a stainless-steel mill with a scraper that sweeps as the handle turns, three straining discs, non-slip handles and dishwasher-safe parts. The same roundup says America’s Test Kitchen chose the Cuisipro, but that endorsement could not be verified against an original America’s Test Kitchen source. Treat it as the roundup’s claim, not as a confirmed independent endorsement. The roundup also calls Cuisipro a professional-grade pick; that is its assessment, not an established performance finding here.

Verify materials and cleaning directions
OXO identifies stainless steel and marks its mill dishwasher safe. The Cuisipro search result describes dishwasher-safe parts, but that detail should be checked against a current brand listing or manual. For the other named alternatives, the available excerpts do not establish cleaning directions. Do not assume every component of any mill is dishwasher safe.
Consider assembly, storage and scraper design
