Has a Survival Capsule been tested in a real tsunami?
The cited company material and news coverage do not establish that a capsule has survived an actual tsunami. Survival Capsule’s news page describes early prototype stress-test footage and says a 2017 Jay Leno’s Garage segment used “a few gentle techniques”; the company itself notes that the demonstration was nothing like a tsunami. It should not be described as a tsunami test.

Survival Capsule’s news page reports its first U.S. capsule delivery to Long Beach, Washington, on January 18, 2017. On January 26, 2017, KTOO’s Northwest News Network reported that Jeanne Johnson of Ocean Park, Washington, was the first U.S. buyer of a tsunami pod sold by the company and covered its deployment on the Pacific Northwest coast.
