The Ninja Swirl by CREAMi (NC701) is the CREAMi to consider if you want both scoopable frozen treats and soft serve dispensed into a cone. It offers more ways to serve a frozen dessert than the standard CREAMi 7-in-1, but its dedicated pints are not interchangeable with those of the 7-in-1 or XL Deluxe. Whether that trade-off makes sense depends less on its program count than on whether you will use the soft-serve function.
What the Ninja Swirl does
Ninja markets the NC701 as a machine for making both scooped frozen treats and soft serve. Its 13 one-touch programs include six Swirl programs, and the product listing also highlights CreamiFit for low-calorie, high-protein treats and customizable ingredients. These are advertised uses, not a guarantee of any particular nutritional result or independently verified performance.
The Swirl’s distinguishing feature is its dispensing setup: it is designed to serve soft serve through a nozzle, as well as make frozen treats for scooping. If you only want a machine that processes frozen pints for scooping, the extra soft-serve mechanism may not be useful to you. Ninja describes the product as turning “almost anything into ice cream, soft serve, and much more at the touch of a button,” but that is manufacturer copy rather than an independent performance finding.
What comes in the box, and how much it makes
Ninja lists two 16-ounce pints in the box. Its stated yield is up to four servings or four small soft-serve cones per pint. Treat that as the manufacturer’s serving estimate; it is not an independently measured yield, and actual portions depend on serving size.

Size, power, and warranty
Ninja lists the NC701 at 15.16 × 10.04 × 17.52 inches, 800 watts, and 120 volts, with a one-year limited warranty. Those electrical specifications are for the listed model and region; check the exact product listing before buying if you are outside the US or considering a regional variant. The listed dimensions are worth checking against your available counter and storage space, especially because the machine is relatively tall.
How it compares with other CREAMi models
Ninja’s product listings distinguish the Swirl from the 7-in-1 and XL Deluxe by soft-serve dispensing, program count, and pint capacity. More programs do not by themselves establish better texture or value.

The Swirl’s 16-ounce capacity matches the listed pint size for the 7-in-1, while the XL Deluxe’s listed 24-ounce pints are larger. The choice is therefore not simply “more programs versus fewer”: consider whether you want soft-serve dispensing, larger pints, and a machine whose containers are specific to its model.
Are Swirl pints compatible with other CREAMi machines?
No. Ninja explicitly says Swirl pints are not compatible with the 7-in-1 CREAMi or the XL Deluxe 11-in-1. If you already own one of those models, do not assume its pints will work in the Swirl—or that Swirl pints can be shared across machines.

For a buyer who expects to dispense soft serve at home, the Swirl’s defining feature may justify choosing it over a scoop-focused CREAMi. If you do not want that dispensing function, the 7-in-1 or XL Deluxe may be a more direct fit depending on your preferred pint size and program selection. The available manufacturer material does not establish comparative noise, cleaning effort, speed, texture quality, reliability, or user satisfaction, so those should not be treated as proven advantages or drawbacks.

Who should consider the Swirl?
- Consider it if soft-serve dispensing is a feature you specifically want, and you are comfortable using model-specific pints.
- Compare it with the XL Deluxe if larger listed pint capacity matters more to you than the Swirl’s dispensing feature.
- Compare it with the 7-in-1 if you mainly want scoopable frozen treats and do not expect to use soft-serve dispensing.
- Check before ordering if you already own another CREAMi or need replacement parts, because pint and part compatibility depends on the exact model.
