On many Samsung microwaves sold in the United States, press Clock, enter the time on the number pad, choose AM or PM if prompted, and press ENTER/START or OK. The exact sequence is model-specific: Samsung warns that clock-setting steps change between models, so use your panel and manual as the authority.
Start by identifying your microwave
Find the model code on the appliance label or in its documentation, then compare your control panel with the instructions below. Samsung’s model lookup and manuals are available through its Microwaves Support US hub. Do not combine button sequences from different models.

Common Samsung US procedure
- Press Clock. If nothing happens, press and hold Clock for three seconds; Samsung documents both behaviors on different models.
- Enter the hour and minute with the number pad.
- If the display asks for a format, select AM or PM. Some models also allow 12-hour or 24-hour notation.
- Press ENTER/START or OK to save the time.

When your panel does not match
- Stop trying unrelated combinations; a different button layout usually means a different procedure.
- Read the model code from the microwave and open Samsung’s support hub.
- Download the manual for that exact model and market, then search it for “clock,” “set time,” or “time.”
- Follow the confirmation control shown in the manual—typically OK, ENTER/START, or another named key.
If the panel will not respond or shows a fault code, use the exact model’s troubleshooting and support path. An unset clock by itself is a normal setting issue, not evidence that the microwave needs repair.

US instructions versus Australian models
The procedures above come primarily from Samsung US support. Samsung Australia’s guide is for Australian products only and uses a different, dial-based flow: choose 12- or 24-hour notation, set the hour, set the minutes, and confirm. Reset the clock after a power failure. Samsung Australia also highlights daylight-saving adjustments for its region; whether your microwave changes automatically depends on the model, so check its manual rather than assuming it will.

Use Clock—or hold it for three seconds—as the starting point only when it matches your panel. Enter the time, complete any AM/PM or 12/24-hour prompt, and confirm with the control your model specifies. If the sequence differs, the exact Samsung manual is the reliable answer.
