Blaupunkt has introduced the SBW600 Xceed 9.1.4 Dolby Atmos Home Theatre in India. The company’s launch blog is dated March 20, 2025, and the product page identifies the model year as 2025. On August 18, 2026, Blaupunkt’s India store displayed a price of ₹44,990 against a displayed reference price of ₹129,999, but the same page was marked “Coming Soon.” Treat that figure as a dated listing, not a guaranteed launch or checkout price.
The system combines a large soundbar, wireless subwoofer and rear satellite speakers. Its 9.1.4 and 360° spatial-sound claims describe Blaupunkt’s speaker layout and processing proposition; they do not by themselves establish cinema-equivalent discrete channels or measured performance.
What exactly did Blaupunkt launch?
The product is generally styled as the SBW600 Xceed 9.1.4 Dolby Atmos Home Theatre. “360° Spatial Sound” is a positioning claim rather than the complete model name. Blaupunkt’s dated launch announcement is available on its official blog.
It is separate from the older SBW600 5.1 and from the higher-tier SBW600 Xceed Emperor 12.1.4. Those models should not be treated as variants of the same launch.

- 5.1.2ch Surround Sound System: A 5.1.2-channel system featuring up-firing speakers, surround sound, and a powerful subwoofer creates lifelike, multidimensional audio. Feel the Sky Around You—raindrops falling from above, helicopters circling overhead, thunder rumbling in all directions. Sound isn’t just around you, it engulfs you, as if the ceiling disappeared. This is Dolby Atmos: not just heard, but felt.
- Up-Firing Drivers with Neodymium Core: The up-firing channels use neodymium internal magnets and 18-core large voice coils to enhance height precision and vertical throw. This aerospace-grade configuration ensures better high-frequency dynamics, delivering focused and elevated sound images that unlock the true potential of Dolby Atmos.
- 360° SurroundX Audio: SurroundX technology combines two rear surround speakers and dual up-firing Atmos drivers to build a true 360° sound field. Powered by intelligent spatial algorithms, the system precisely positions audio around and above you—enhancing Dolby Atmos with a more natural, three-dimensional soundstage. Note: Not compatible with DTS.
- Lossless Audio Transmission: Unlock full Dolby Atmos performance with HDMI eARC, supporting up to 37Mbps bandwidth for lossless 5.1.2-channel audio. Compared to regular ARC, eARC delivers richer detail and better surround effects with no compression. With CEC, your TV and soundbar work as one—power, volume, and input sync automatically for effortless control.
- Advanced App Control: Customize every detail of your audio experience with the Ultimea App. Fine-tune your surround sound with 13-step level adjustment (-6 to +6), optimize with a 10-band graphic EQ, and choose from 121 preset sound settings. Enjoy seamless OTA updates that unlock new features and keep your system performing at its peak.
What “9.1.4” and “360°” mean
In the channel label:
- 9 refers to the claimed horizontal or ear-level channels.
- .1 is the subwoofer or low-frequency-effects channel.
- .4 represents four height channels, generated by upward- or height-directed drivers.
Blaupunkt describes nine front speakers, one woofer and four satellite speakers. The official page calls this “True 9.1.4,” but the label alone does not prove independent channel separation, maximum output or a particular frequency response. “360° surround sound” is likewise a manufacturer claim whose result depends on room geometry, content and placement.

The manual limits Dolby Atmos operation to HDMI ARC and HDMI IN. Your source and programme must also contain Atmos, and the source should output an undecoded signal using a setting such as Bitstream, Auto or Bypass.
Optical, Bluetooth, USB, AUX and coaxial inputs remain useful for ordinary audio, but the available documentation does not establish them as equivalent Atmos paths. If a television cannot pass Atmos reliably over ARC, connect the streaming box, console or Blu-ray player directly to the soundbar’s HDMI IN.

Correct HDMI setup
TV through HDMI ARC
- Connect the soundbar’s HDMI OUT (ARC) to the television’s labelled HDMI ARC port.
- Select HDMI ARC on the soundbar.
- Set the television’s audio output to HDMI ARC.
- On the TV or source, choose Auto, Bitstream or Bypass, according to that device’s terminology.
- Play content whose app, subscription and programme actually provide Dolby Atmos, then check that the soundbar receives the appropriate signal.
Streaming box, console or disc player through HDMI IN
- Connect the source HDMI output to the soundbar’s HDMI IN.
- Connect the soundbar’s HDMI OUT (ARC) to the TV’s HDMI ARC input.
- Switch the soundbar to HDMI IN.
- Select the corresponding HDMI input on the television.
- Set the source to Bitstream, Auto or Bypass.
Check the box contents before installation: the manual notes that an HDMI cable may not be supplied for every connection procedure.
Room placement matters more than the channel badge
The soundbar uses forward-, side- and upward-firing drivers, while the satellites also fire upward and forward. Keep the bar clear of a cabinet that blocks its side or height drivers. Ceiling height and material, listening position and the distance to the rear speakers all affect the reflected Atmos effect.

- Place the rear satellites to the left and right behind or beside the seating position, observing their directional orientation.
- Leave enough clearance above and beside the soundbar for its firing angles.
- Plan floor, wall or shelf space for a 1,100 mm-wide bar, a 420 mm-tall subwoofer and the two 228 × 114 × 72 mm satellites.
- Blaupunkt positions the system for large rooms but says it can be used in smaller rooms with the volume adjusted; a 9.1.4 label cannot guarantee the same effect in every room.
The satellites are wireless for audio connectivity, not wire-free: the manual specifies external 24 V, 2 A DC power adapters.

- Simplified 5.1ch Dolby Atmos Setup: Enjoy immersive 4D sound with real Dolby Atmos and 5.1-channel audio. Five built-in speakers, including two side-firing drivers, create wide surround without rear speakers. Precision DSP ensures <0.5 ms latency for smooth, theater-like sound. Setup takes less than 1 minute.
- Voice Clarity Enhancement: VoiceMX technology uses advanced DSP algorithms to isolate and enhance vocal frequencies in real time. Dialogue remains crisp and easy to follow by separating speech from background effects and music, even at low volumes or during intense scenes.
- 300W Output with 6-Driver System: Featuring five precision-tuned full-range drivers and a dedicated wired wooden subwoofer, the system delivers up to 300W of peak power for bold, room-filling sound. With a frequency response of 45 Hz–18 kHz and a maximum SPL of 99 dB, it reproduces everything from subtle nuances to explosive cinematic effects.
- 18 mm High-Excursion Driver: Powered by BassMX technology, the wired wooden subwoofer features a 18 mm high-excursion driver, a 5.3L tuned cabinet, and a high-density magnetic circuit. This design delivers deeper, tighter bass with greater air displacement and enhanced low-frequency performance—bringing more realism to every scene.
- HDMI eARC for True Dolby Atmos: HDMI eARC supports up to 37 Mbps of bandwidth, unlocking the full potential of lossless Dolby Atmos 5.1-channel audio. Compared to standard ARC, eARC delivers richer surround effects and greater detail. CEC integration allows the TV and soundbar to work together with unified control.
Pairing the subwoofer and rear speakers
They should arrive pre-paired. If they do not, follow the manual’s recovery sequence:
- Put the soundbar in Bluetooth mode until “BT” flashes.
- Power on the subwoofer.
- Connect both rear speakers to their supplied DC adapters and switch them on.
- Hold the remote’s Play/Pause button until “pair” appears.
- Press and hold the pairing button on the subwoofer and each rear speaker until the indicators flash rapidly.
- Wait for the indicators to stay illuminated, confirming pairing.
Keep all units powered and within a practical wireless range, away from likely interference sources. If a new installation still fails, repeat the procedure from the beginning.

Why it may suit a buyer
- It is a physical multi-speaker system rather than a two-channel bar.
- Upward-, side- and forward-firing drivers plus rear satellites are designed to add surround and height effects.
- Dolby Atmos is available through HDMI, and HDMI IN can help when a TV does not pass Atmos from an external source.
- Wireless audio links reduce the need to run speaker cable back to the bar.
- Bluetooth 5.3, USB, optical, coaxial and AUX cover conventional sources.
Why caution is warranted
- The official page currently says “Coming Soon,” and official prices have varied.
- No independent measurements of frequency response, maximum SPL, distortion, latency or channel isolation are supplied.
- The Atmos restriction to HDMI ARC and HDMI IN makes connection choice critical.
- Upward-firing effects are room-dependent, and “360°” is not a standardized performance grade.
- The rear speakers need power adapters despite their wireless audio connection.
- The one-year warranty is shorter than the three-year warranty advertised for the Emperor model.

- TRUE 5.1.4 HI-FI DOLBY ATMOS SYSTEM — NOT A SOUNDBAR: HiMuses M514 is a real 5.1.4 channel Dolby Atmos home theater system with an independent center speaker, four surround speakers, and a dedicated subwoofer. With 900W peak power, it delivers room-filling sound, precise channel separation, and cinematic scale that typical soundbars simply cannot achieve.
- CLEAR DIALOGUE, FULL SURROUND, DEEP 25HZ BASS: A dedicated Hi-Fi center channel locks dialogue in place for clear, focused vocals. Four surround speakers create smooth, continuous movement around the room. The 13.5L wired subwoofer reaches down to 25Hz for deep, controlled bass—without muddying mids or highs. Clear voices, rich midrange, and tight impact even at higher volume levels.
- INDEPENDENT HI-FI CROSSOVERS FOR PURE SOUND: Each speaker features a precisely tuned independent crossover that directs bass, mids, and treble to the correct drivers. This reduces distortion, prevents frequency overlap, and preserves tonal balance. The result is cleaner detail, wider soundstage, and natural three-dimensional performance across movies, music, and gaming.
- 16 FLAGSHIP DRIVERS FOR DETAIL & DYNAMICS: Equipped with 16 rose-gold aluminum-magnesium alloy drivers, typically found in premium Hi-Fi speakers. Their rigid yet lightweight diaphragms, copper rings, and rear earth magnets deliver fast response, low distortion, and accurate detail reproduction. Hear textures, ambience, and micro-details that conventional home theater systems miss.
- TRUE 4 HEIGHT CHANNELS — REAL DOLBY ATMOS: Four dedicated up-firing height channels create authentic 3D Dolby Atmos sound—not virtual processing. Combined with full surround speakers and a dedicated center channel, the system produces precise overhead effects and realistic spatial depth for movies and streaming content.
Who should buy the SBW600 Xceed?
It is a sensible shortlist candidate if you have a medium-to-large room, can position rear speakers properly, have an Atmos-capable source over HDMI ARC or HDMI IN, and are willing to verify stock and the live promotional price.
Skip it if you need a compact all-in-one bar, rely mainly on optical or Bluetooth while expecting Atmos, cannot provide power near the rear satellites, or require independently measured performance and a longer warranty. The most accurate buying conclusion is therefore conditional: the hardware layout and connections are promising on paper, but the listing status, changing price and room-dependent Atmos result require checking before purchase.
