Sting and Trudie Styler’s Wiltshire home is Lake House, a historic property in Wilsford cum Lake. The title’s $8.6 million figure is not substantiated by the available sources. A secondary property-history page reports that Lake House was offered for £13 million in 2025, but that is an asking price—not a confirmed sale price or formal valuation.

Where is Lake House?

Lake House, also known as the Manor of Lake, stands in Wilsford cum Lake, Wiltshire. Wiltshire Council says Sting, whose given name is Gordon Sumner, and Trudie Styler bought the property in the early 1990s. The council also reports that it has since been run as an organic farm. How old is the house, and what has been rebuilt?

Historic England dates Lake House to 1578 and identifies George Duke, a wealthy clothier, as its builder. The listed heritage site includes the house, its grounds and historic garden features; Historic England describes the house as having been altered and extended in the early twentieth century. Fire damage and restoration

  • 1838: A fire severely damaged the house.
  • Late nineteenth century: Architect Detmar Blow restored it in consultation with Philip Webb and the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings.
  • After 1912: Following another fire, Blow restored and partly rebuilt the house.

The surviving historic landscape includes a small park originating in the early to mid-eighteenth century, an estate plan dated 1752, and historic walled gardens and avenues, according to Historic England. Its record describes an early-twentieth-century garden around the older park and house. Historic England’s register entry

What are the home’s connections to Sting and Trudie Styler?

Wiltshire Council says Sting recorded Ten Summoner’s Tales at Lake House. It also notes that Styler published The Lake House Cookbook, which includes photographs and information about the property. The cookbook offers a documented connection to the house, but it does not imply public access to the private property. Wiltshire Council’s local history

How much is Lake House worth?

The $8.6 million figure in the title is not established as Lake House’s current value. No official valuation or verified sale price is cited in the available sources. The DiCamillo Companion, a secondary property-history source, reports a £13 million asking price for the house with 60 acres in 2025. An asking price is what a property was reportedly offered for; it does not establish the amount a buyer paid or what the property is worth today. The DiCamillo Companion

Sting described a Wiltshire mansion with 800 acres in a 2003 interview reproduced on his official website from The Daily Telegraph. That is a historical description, not evidence of the acreage attached to the later 60-acre report or of the property’s present value. Sting’s reproduction of the 2003 interview
