Lidl’s Tronic 3-in-1 Air Conditioner was reported at £149 for a UK store launch on Thursday, 25 June 2026. The announced deal has passed: as of 4 October 2026, Lidl’s current pages checked did not list the model, so the reports do not establish that it is still available. They describe cooling, fan and dehumidifying modes, but do not verify key specifications such as cooling capacity or noise.
What Lidl’s £149 offer included
Coverage published on 24 June 2026 by Ideal Home, Homebuilding and The Independent reported that the Tronic 3-in-1 Air Conditioner was due in Lidl stores the following day for £149. The reports described the offer as limited or available while stocks lasted, with Ideal Home specifying an in-store-only launch.
- Advertised modes: air conditioning, fan cooling and dehumidifying.
- Other reported features: two fan speeds and transport wheels.
- Price and timing: £149 at the reported June 2026 launch, not a confirmed current price.
These details come from deal coverage. A model-specific Tronic manual was not verified, so they should not be treated as a full specification sheet.
Is the Lidl air conditioner still available?
The June reports document the planned launch, not current inventory. As of 4 October 2026, Lidl’s pages checked did not list this model; that does not establish whether a particular store has leftover stock. For a local check, use Lidl’s store finder and offers page, or contact the store directly. Treat £149 as a historical reported offer unless Lidl confirms a live price and availability.

How a portable air conditioner differs from a fan
A fan moves room air, which can make people feel cooler, but it does not actively lower the room’s air temperature. A portable air conditioner uses refrigeration to cool air and sends heat outdoors through an exhaust hose. The Independent’s explainer notes that portable units are freestanding and are generally intended to cool a single room.
Lidl’s general UK cooling guide explains that a portable monobloc unit takes in room air, cools it using refrigerant and expels excess heat through a hose. This is general guidance, not confirmation of the Tronic model’s exact design or included accessories.

What to check before choosing a portable AC
The available launch coverage does not establish the Tronic model’s cooling capacity, recommended room area, noise level, energy consumption, hose length or whether a window kit was included. Those details matter more to suitability than the three advertised modes alone.
- Cooling capacity and room size: match a model’s stated capacity to the room rather than assuming the Lidl unit’s coverage. Lidl gives approximate planning examples of 5,000 BTU/h for rooms up to about 15 m², 7,000 BTU/h for up to about 25 m² and 12,000 BTU/h for up to about 35 m². These are general examples, not ratings for the Tronic offer.
- Exhaust arrangement: check hose reach, window or door compatibility and whether the package includes a window kit or seal.
- Controls and functions: verify modes, fan speeds, timer and remote or app control from the exact model’s documentation.
- Running characteristics: compare official noise and power-use specifications or credible model-specific testing.
- Availability and total cost: distinguish a dated deal price from a live one, and check local stock for seasonal appliances.
Why the exhaust hose and window fit matter
The hose needs to discharge outdoors through a window or door. If the opening is left poorly sealed, warm outside air can flow back into the room and undermine cooling. Lidl’s general guide suggests a cut-to-size plexiglass panel with an opening for the hose as one possible arrangement; it does not say that the Tronic package included such a panel or a window seal. If buying an optional seal kit, first check the chosen unit’s supplied accessories, then confirm that the kit’s dimensions and fittings are compatible.

Don’t confuse the Tronic offer with a different Lidl model
A Lidl-hosted manual available for the SilverCrest 9000 BTU WIFI A1 describes a different product, not the 2026 Tronic offer. Its specifications cannot be transferred to the Tronic unit. In particular, the Tronic model’s capacity, room-size rating, noise, energy consumption and included window accessories remain unverified in the cited launch coverage.
