Concerned about slow progress, he directed officials to identify delays, monitor the works closely, carry out detailed quality checks and complete the projects within the stipulated timeframe. The report does not state that the bridges passed or failed an inspection.
What the deputy chief minister directed
KNS reported that Choudhary asked officials to determine the reasons for slow progress and take corrective measures. He also called for responsibility to be fixed for undue delay, a bottleneck assessment and remedial action. His directions included close monitoring and detailed checks against approved designs, specifications and engineering standards.
These are directions reported at the inspection, not confirmation that the checks or corrective work have since been completed. KNS did not identify a specific cause of delay or provide a completion date.

What PMGSY quality checks generally involve

Its guidance also describes contractors’ field laboratories for testing materials and workmanship, along with quality-control records and testing requirements. This programme-wide framework does not establish which tests were conducted on these bridges, who carried them out, or what they found.
