What the 2026 roundup does—and does not—establish
Food Network’s 2026 roundup covers eight vegetable steamers and says it tested several types. It names the Joseph Joseph Bloom Folding Steamer Basket as its “Best Budget” pick, describing it as affordable, light, and easy to store. Check whether a basket fits your pot
For the green Joseph Joseph Bloom, the manufacturer specifies a minimum pan diameter of 18 cm (7 inches) and recommends pans with vertical sides. It is not suitable for frying pans or woks. Use and clean the Bloom according to its version
Joseph Joseph says to begin with water reaching the base of the green Bloom—about 2.5 cm (1 inch)—and warns against letting the pan boil dry. The green model is dishwasher safe.
