Natural materials and warm interiors
Interior designer Brian Patrick Flynn used warm earth tones, natural materials, classic furnishings and vintage collectibles. The announcement highlights hand-laid stone and custom millwork, as well as a great room with a reclaimed-wood mantel and a dining room with café doors.
The chef-style kitchen features an over-grouted stone backsplash. The release does not identify the stone type, maker or product model, so the most accurate way to look for a similar finish is to browse comparable stone backsplash tile, rather than assume the installed material is a particular product.

Practical details
The house also includes a morning room, a pantry accessible from the garage and a dedicated pet wash. The main suite has lake views and a spa-like bathroom; an all-in-one washer and dryer is located in the suite’s closet.
Who designed and built HGTV Dream Home 2026?
Brian Patrick Flynn designed the interior, and Knotts Builders built the home, according to Warner Bros. Discovery’s announcement. Flynn said he wanted the details to reflect Lake Wylie’s natural setting while making the home feel warm, inviting and livable.
The announcement also credited project sponsors with specific contributions: Spectrum for broadband connectivity and access to streaming apps and live TV; HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams for the paint palette; Husqvarna for lawn tools; SimpliSafe for home security; Snuggle for fabric softener and laundry products; Stanley Steemer for cleaning; Trex for decking materials; VELUX for skylights and sun tunnels; and Wayfair for furniture, décor and appliances. Who won HGTV Dream Home 2026?
HGTV identifies Eileen Reimer of Atlanta, Georgia, as the official winner. The network says Flynn surprised Reimer at a family lunch. In HGTV’s account of their conversation, Reimer said she loved the home’s style, stone and color. She also said she had entered only once, or something like once; Flynn replied, “That’s all it takes.” These details are as reported by HGTV in its winner announcement.
