Check the brand, exact model number and any date code on your air fryer against the official recall notice for the country where you bought it. If the identifiers match, unplug the appliance, stop using it and follow the notice’s instructions for a replacement, refund, gift card or repair. A similar appearance, capacity or marketplace listing is not enough to establish that a unit is safe.

A model-number match controls coverage. Do not assume an unlisted color, generation or similar-looking appliance is included—or excluded—without checking the notice for your country.
How to check your air fryer safely
- Unplug it first. Do not handle a potentially recalled appliance while it is connected to power.
- Record the identifiers. Write down the brand, complete model number, date code or serial information, capacity and country of purchase. CPSC notices commonly show the model number on the underside or bottom label; it may also appear in the manual. Secura requires both the model and date code.
- Compare with the official notice. Check the government consumer-safety notice for your market and the manufacturer’s recall portal. Use the complete identifier, not a shortened product name.
- Stop immediately if it matches. Do not test the fryer, use it “one more time” or rely on whether it looks undamaged. Follow the stated procedure for a replacement, refund, gift card, repair kit or safe destruction.
- Preserve evidence requested by the remedy. Keep photographs, receipts and purchase records. Insignia’s remedy specifically requires photos, model information and destruction documentation; its recalled units should not be returned to a Best Buy store.
