Yeedi M12 Ultra Plus Review: A Strong Robot Vacuum and Mop—At the Right Price

Strong vacuuming, capable routine mopping and a useful self-cleaning dock make the Yeedi M12 Ultra Plus appealing on sale. Its cable and mapping limitations make full price harder to justify.

The Yeedi M12 Ultra Plus is a strong robot vacuum and mop, with especially good debris pickup, useful edge mopping and a dock that empties, refills, washes and dries. But its large footprint, less polished mapping and vulnerability to cables keep it from being an easy recommendation at premium prices. It makes the most sense when discounted into the mid-hundreds and when your floors are easy to prepare.

Best for: homes that need strong everyday vacuuming and routine mopping, and buyers who value an automated dock. Think twice if: you have lots of loose cables, thick shag carpet, limited space for a dock or want the most capable mapping and smart-home controls.

What the Yeedi M12 Ultra Plus is—and what it does well

The M12 Ultra Plus is a robot vacuum and mop with LiDAR navigation, 3D or structured-light obstacle sensing, dual rotating mop pads and a dock that handles dust emptying, water refilling, pad washing and drying. One mop pad extends toward edges, and the pads lift when the robot detects carpet. Its advertised maximum suction is 11,800 Pa, but that figure alone does not establish how well a vacuum cleans: independent pickup tests are more useful evidence.

In short-term reviews, it performed well at routine floor cleaning. TechRadar tested it for a week and rated its cleaning highly; Tech Advisor reported effective pickup of dust, crumbs, pet hair and rice, as well as a good result on a light spill. Those tests support a strong cleaning verdict, not a guarantee for every floor, mess or home.

How well does it vacuum?

Hard floors and larger debris

Reviewers reported effective pickup on hard floors. TechRadar found it handled cereal and sugar in its tests. Tech Advisor’s half-cup rice test left nearly all the rice from hard flooring collected. These are specific reviewer tests rather than a standardized comparison across brands, but they suggest the robot is well suited to routine crumbs and tracked-in debris.

Carpets, rugs and pet hair

Tech Advisor reported that the robot collected an entire half-cup rice test from carpet. Its anti-tangle brush design is also a useful feature for homes with hair. Neither point means it is maintenance-free: hair can still collect around brush parts and mounts, and toys, bowls and loose objects need attention before a run.

The mop pads lift by up to 0.35 inches, according to Tech Advisor. That can help keep many ordinary rugs and low- to medium-pile carpets from getting wet, but TechRadar cautioned that the lift may not clear thick, shaggy carpet. If your home has high-pile rugs, use vacuum-only cleaning or keep those areas out of a mopping run rather than assuming the raised pads will stay clear.

Edges and corners

The extendable mop is one of the M12 Ultra Plus’s most distinctive features. The right pad reaches outward to mop closer to baseboards and furniture edges. Tech Advisor described its reach as within approximately 1 mm of edges; treat that as a reviewer’s description, not a guaranteed gap in every room. TechRadar also found the extension useful for cleaning close to room edges.

How good is the mopping?

Dual rotating pads suit routine maintenance and light spills better than deeply embedded stains. TechRadar praised the mopping, and Tech Advisor reported a good result on a light jelly-spill test. Sticky, dried-on or heavily soiled messes can still need manual cleaning; the robot should not be treated as a replacement for scrubbing.

The dock washes the pads with hot water and dries them. Tech Advisor reported a 70°C (158°F) mop-washing specification. Because specifications can vary by market or model documentation, check the manual for the version sold in your region before relying on that temperature as a universal figure.

There is an important trade-off to the spinning-pad setup: it can catch cables, shoelaces and other loose items. Obstacle sensing does not make the M12 Ultra Plus cable-proof. Tech Advisor identified loose objects as a concern, while BGR reported a case in which a mop caught on a wire and detached as the robot continued cleaning with one pad. Clear the floor before mopping and check both pads are still attached if the robot behaves unusually.

Navigation, obstacle avoidance and mapping

LiDAR and 3D or structured-light sensing help the robot map rooms and avoid many household obstacles. Reviewers found its general navigation useful, and the app offers room, zone and no-go-zone controls. But obstacle avoidance has limits: small or low-profile objects, especially cables and shoelaces, can still interfere with cleaning.

Mapping feedback was mixed. Tech Advisor said it could correct room-map errors, while BGR found room recognition and map editing frustrating. If the first map splits a room incorrectly, try another mapping or cleaning pass, use zone cleaning as a workaround, and set no-go zones where needed. Do not assume a single first-pass map will be accurate enough for every room.

App and smart-home controls

The app supports vacuum-only, mop-only and combined cleaning, along with suction and water-flow adjustments, schedules, cleaning history, map editing, and room, zone and custom cleaning. TechRadar found it straightforward but light on advanced features; Tech Advisor described scenario-based automation, while BGR criticized room recognition and map editing. Overall, it is usable, but the reviewed experience does not match the strongest competing platforms for map control.

TechRadar found no voice-assistant support in its tested setup. That is not proof that support is unavailable in every region, app version or later firmware. If Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri integration matters, confirm compatibility for your location and current software before buying.

Dock size, capacity and day-to-day maintenance

The dock is substantial. TechRadar reported dimensions of about 16.1 × 19.29 × 18.9 inches, while Tech Advisor reported approximately 19 × 16 × 18.9 inches. The orientation differs, but both descriptions point to a large station that needs meaningful floor space and clearance to access its tanks. Measure the location and the robot’s route in and out—particularly in an apartment, narrow utility area or crowded kitchen.

Accessories Compatible with Yeedi M12 Ultra Plus/ M12 PRO+ Vacuum Cleaner
  • [Compatible Models] Replacement parts compatible with M12 Ultra Plus Robot Vacuums Cleaner, compatible with Yeedi M12 PRO+ Robot Vacuums Cleaner.
  • [Replacement Kit Includes] Replacement parts kit includes 2 main brush, 6 HEPA filters, 6 side brushes, 6 mop pads and 6 dust bags.
  • [High Standard Parts] Powerful main brush set is suitable for a wide range of floors. Large-capacity dust bag collects more dust at once. Heavy-duty side brushes pick up more debris from corners, and HEPA filters trap finer dust and odors. Microfiber mopping pads keep floors cleaner.
  • [Easy Installation]: If the bristles are bent, soak them in hot water for 30 seconds.
  • [Quality Service]: To make sure your machine works properly, please clean and replace spare parts in time.

Reported capacities include a 3.4-liter dust bag, a 4-liter clean-water tank and a 3.5-liter dirty-water tank; TechRadar also lists a 0.27-liter robot dustbin. These are published or reviewer-reported specifications, not a promise of a specific number of cleaning cycles. How often you empty, refill or replace anything will depend on your floor area, dirt and cleaning settings.

The dock automates several chores, but “hands-free” would overstate the experience. Owners still need to manage the water tanks and dust bag, clean brush components and sensors, remove tangles, and deal with stubborn spills. For current support, accessory and warranty information in the U.S., start at Yeedi’s U.S. support center; that page does not by itself confirm stock or pricing for every M12 Ultra Plus part.

Noise and runtime

TechRadar lists a maximum noise figure of 54 dB, but actual sound depends on mode, floor and measurement conditions. Tech Advisor described routine cleaning as relatively quiet and dustbin emptying as the loudest operation. TechRadar also reported up to 290 minutes of runtime. That is a maximum-use figure, not an expected duration for every mixed vacuum-and-mop job: suction level, mopping, dock returns and recharge needs affect how long a cleaning run takes.

Yeedi M12 Ultra Plus vs. M12 Pro Plus

These models appear to share much of their hardware and dock design; the Ultra Plus is not a wholly different generation. Tech Advisor reported 11,800 Pa maximum suction for the Ultra Plus and 11,000 Pa for the Pro Plus. It also reported that the Ultra Plus package included four dust bags and two sets of mop pads, compared with one extra dust bag and no spare mop pads for the Pro Plus.

Choose based on the price difference and included supplies, not the suction figures alone. If the Ultra Plus costs only a little more, its extra suction specification and reported accessories make it the more attractive package. If the Pro Plus is substantially cheaper—particularly in a mostly hard-floor home—the real-world difference may not justify paying a premium. Compare the actual offers available to you rather than launch prices.

Price and alternatives: when does it make sense?

The M12 Ultra Plus launched in September 2024. TechRadar reported a launch/list price of about $1,099; Tech Advisor saw it at $949 in its launch-era coverage. Those are historical price points, not current offers. Coverage also recorded sale prices of $399.99, $529.99 and $639 at different times. No current Yeedi price is established here, so check the retailer listing before deciding.

As buying guidance—not official price bands—a price below roughly $500 makes the M12 Ultra Plus potentially excellent value; around $500–$700, compare current alternatives; near its historical $900–$1,100 premium, its software and obstacle-handling compromises are harder to overlook. The gap matters because a discount can make a strong cleaner compelling even when its app is not best-in-class.

Alternative Observed price signal What may suit you better Trade-off to weigh
Roborock Qrevo $519.99, reduced from $899.99 on the official page when observed; price may change. Official listing includes a multifunction dock, dual spinning mops, auto mop lifting, LiDAR, obstacle avoidance and Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri Shortcuts support. Its listed suction is 5,500 Pa, below Yeedi’s advertised 11,800 Pa; Pa figures alone do not prove which cleans better.
Roborock Qrevo Pro $649.99, reduced from $999.99 on the official page when observed; price may change. Official listing specifies 7,000 Pa, hot-water mop washing, warm-air drying, auto-emptying and refilling, dual spinning mops, 10-mm mop lift, LiDAR and obstacle recognition. It may cost more than a discounted Yeedi, and neither model eliminates the need to prepare floors around cables.
eufy X10 Pro Omni $899.99 on the official page when observed; price may change. Official listing emphasizes 8,000 Pa suction, dual rotating pads, AI.See obstacle recognition, auto-detangling, an all-in-one station and app-based mapping. At the observed price, it is difficult to prefer over a heavily discounted Yeedi unless you value eufy’s software or obstacle-handling features more.
Dreame X40 Ultra $539.99, reduced from $1,199.99 on the official page when observed; the page showed it sold out at the time, so availability is uncertain. Official listing includes 12,000 Pa suction, extendable and liftable side brush, hot-water mop cleaning and removable mops. Check availability before treating it as an option; its broader feature set may also bring more app and product choices to weigh.

These are dated official-page price signals, not prices verified for September 2026. Check the listing and stock in your country before purchasing. The M12 Ultra Plus is most defensible when its actual price leaves a meaningful saving over alternatives and its edge-mopping and cleaning strengths fit your home better than their app or obstacle-handling advantages.

Who should buy the Yeedi M12 Ultra Plus?

  • Good fit: Buyers prioritizing strong everyday vacuuming, routine mopping, close edge coverage and a dock that handles several recurring chores—especially at a substantial discount.
  • Less suitable: Homes with many loose cables or shoelaces, thick shag carpeting, little room for a large dock, or a strong preference for sophisticated map editing and confirmed voice-assistant integration.
  • Pet households: The brush design and pickup performance are appealing, but loose toys, bowls, hair around components and floor accidents still need attention.
  • Large homes: A long maximum runtime and automated dock help, but water management and occasional brush or pad cleaning remain part of ownership.

Verdict

The Yeedi M12 Ultra Plus is one of Yeedi’s strongest robot vacuum-and-mop options in the coverage available here, but “Yeedi’s best” is not an established current ranking across its lineup. Independent reviews support a verdict of very good everyday cleaning, useful edge mopping and a capable multifunction dock; they also document weaker map editing and a real risk from loose cables. At a mid-hundreds sale price, those strengths can outweigh the compromises. Near its historical premium pricing, look harder at competitors with more polished software or stronger smart-home integration.

The reviews discussed here are short-term tests, including TechRadar’s week of use. They do not establish multi-year reliability, current parts availability or current warranty terms. Check support and replacement-part information for your country before purchase.
