XGIMI’s 2024 Projector Lineup Adds Google TV and Licensed Netflix to Select Models

XGIMI announced five main projector models on September 6, 2024, alongside Google TV editions of two existing models. The update brought built-in, licensed Netflix to several projectors—but not every model runs Google TV, and the lineup spans dim-room portables, conventional long-throw projectors and an ultra-short-throw home-theater model. The prices below are historical U.S. launch prices, not current quotes.

What XGIMI announced in 2024

The September 6 announcement introduced the MoGo 3 Pro, Elfin Flip, AURA 2, HORIZON S Pro and HORIZON S Max. XGIMI also announced Google TV versions of the MoGo 2 Plus and Halo+. The launch started at $399 for the Elfin Flip; XGIMI’s announcement and prices are summarized in its September 2024 launch release.

Which models have Google TV and Netflix?

XGIMI explicitly identified the MoGo 3 Pro, MoGo 2 Plus Google TV version and Halo+ (New) as Google TV projectors. The Elfin Flip is a different case: XGIMI’s materials confirm licensed Netflix, but they do not consistently name its operating system. The launch release calls it WebOS; XGIMI’s later buyer guide calls it XGIMI OS. AURA 2 and the HORIZON S models should not be described as Google TV products based on the cited launch information.

  • Pro-Level Gaming Features: Play big with 200" visuals, 1ms response, 240Hz fluidity—plus VRR and ALLM for seamless sync and ultra-low latency.

“Licensed Netflix” means the projector is intended to run the service through its own supported software rather than relying on an unofficial workaround. Google TV is the interface and platform, with recommendations, voice search and access to apps; availability can still vary by region, device certification and service. Neither Google TV nor the projector supplies a Netflix subscription. XGIMI explicitly describes the MoGo 3 Pro as having licensed Netflix on its official product page.

Portable projectors: different trade-offs

MoGo 3 Pro: Google TV in a compact, externally powered design

The MoGo 3 Pro combines 1080p resolution, 450 ISO lumens, Google TV and licensed Netflix. Its 130-degree adjustable stand, ISA 2.0 autofocus and auto-keystone, obstacle avoidance and screen alignment are designed to simplify setup. XGIMI lists dual 5W Harman Kardon speakers, 16GB storage, 2GB RAM, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, USB-C power input supporting PD 3.0, USB-A and micro-HDMI with ARC. The projector weighs 1.1kg. XGIMI claims a 40-to-200-inch image range, while emphasizing best results up to roughly 120 inches.

This high-speed gaming projector captures every move with elite precision, making it the ultimate choice for both competitive gamers and casual fans.
  • Good fit: a dark or dim bedroom, travel use near an outlet, or a portable setup where Google TV and straightforward Netflix access matter.
  • Power caveat: XGIMI’s listed specifications do not include an integrated battery. Outdoor use therefore needs wall power, a compatible power bank or an optional PowerBase Stand.
  • Connection caveat: the micro-HDMI port may require an adapter or cable the buyer does not already have. Automatic image correction is convenient, but can shrink the usable image or add scaling compared with careful physical placement.

At 450 ISO lumens, it is not a replacement for a bright television in daylight. Its USB-C power input and other specifications are listed on XGIMI’s MoGo 3 Pro page.

Elfin Flip: licensed Netflix without a confirmed Google TV claim

The 1080p Elfin Flip is rated at 400 ISO lumens and has a 150-degree stand in a compact, book-like body. XGIMI’s launch release identifies Dolby Audio, and its later buyer guide lists dual 3W speakers. Its software naming differs between those two XGIMI sources: WebOS in the launch release and XGIMI OS in the buyer guide. Both identify Netflix support, but the evidence does not establish that the Elfin Flip uses Google TV. Its $399 figure was the U.S. launch price; BGR reported an early-bird offer of $299 in September 2024, which was promotional rather than a permanent price.

XGIMI MoGo 2 Pro (New) 1080P Portable Projector, Supports 4K, Auto Focus
  • Multi-angle Rotation: 120° Adjustable Angle. Easily switch your projected image from the wall to the ceiling.

Halo+ (New): more brightness and an integrated battery

The Halo+ (New) adds Google TV and Netflix to a portable model rated at 700 ISO lumens, with 1080p resolution and a built-in battery. XGIMI’s 2024 buyer guide lists a 59Wh-class battery and claims 2.5 hours of video runtime; treat that runtime as the manufacturer’s claim, not a guarantee for every setting or content. At its $799 launch price, it was positioned above the smaller MoGo models for buyers prioritizing cordless use and higher stated brightness.

MoGo 2 Plus: a separate model from MoGo 2 Pro and MoGo 3 Pro

XGIMI announced a Google TV edition of the MoGo 2 Plus for Walmart at $299, with the launch planned for October 2024. This is not the MoGo 2 Pro or MoGo 3 Pro; specifications for one should not be transferred to another. The cited launch material does not establish a full specification set for this Google TV edition.

Home-theater projectors: choose by placement and room

AURA 2: ultra-short-throw placement near the wall

AURA 2 is the lineup’s ultra-short-throw option, rated at 2,300 ISO lumens with a 0.177:1 throw ratio and a manufacturer-claimed image size up to 150 inches. Its listed features include Dual Light 2.0, combining laser and LED technology, IMAX Enhanced, Dolby Vision, a 99% DCI-P3 color-gamut claim and four built-in 15W Harman Kardon speakers. The cited launch excerpt does not state its resolution, so it should not be labeled native 4K on that evidence alone.

Ultra-short-throw placement lets the projector sit close to the wall rather than across the room, but does not make setup forgiving: wall flatness, screen quality, alignment and ambient light have an outsized effect on the image. XGIMI also described an optional ambient-light-rejecting screen. Budget for a suitable screen if the wall is imperfect or the room has significant ambient light.

  • Refined Design: Elephant Grey finish and leather-like texture blend warmth and depth into a design made to be proudly displayed anywhere.

HORIZON S Pro and S Max: conventional long-throw installation

Both HORIZON S models use a conventional long-throw layout and feature Dual Light 2.0, ISA 5.0, a rotating stand with 360-degree horizontal and 135-degree vertical adjustment, and two 12W Harman Kardon speakers. XGIMI’s launch material calls them 4K-class, but the cited details do not settle whether the resolution is native or achieved through pixel shifting.

Model Brightness Picture features in launch material U.S. launch price
HORIZON S Pro 1,800 ISO lumens Dolby Vision; Dual Light 2.0; ISA 5.0 $1,299
HORIZON S Max 3,100 ISO lumens IMAX Enhanced and Dolby Vision; Dual Light 2.0; ISA 5.0 $1,899

The S Max’s higher stated brightness makes it the brighter of the pair on the published figures; it does not guarantee a satisfying image in direct daylight. For either model, plan the throw distance, screen and lighting conditions before treating it as a television replacement.

Which model suits your room and use?

  • Dim bedroom or travel setup with Google TV: MoGo 3 Pro, if external power is acceptable.
  • Compact projector with licensed Netflix at the lower launch price: Elfin Flip, if Google TV is not a requirement.
  • Cordless portable viewing: Halo+ (New), whose built-in battery distinguishes it from the MoGo 3 Pro.
  • Projector close to the screen: AURA 2, provided you can manage the screen and alignment requirements of an ultra-short-throw setup.
  • Living room or dedicated viewing space with room for a long throw: HORIZON S Pro or S Max, selected around budget and the published brightness difference.
  • Bright daytime viewing as the main use: consider a conventional television instead. A projector’s lumen rating is not equivalent to a TV’s image brightness, and room light can wash out a projected picture.

Practical checks before buying

  • Verify the exact regional model. Netflix certification, app availability, firmware and operating-system labels may vary. Check the product page for the region where you will use it, rather than relying on a family name alone.
  • Plan for the room, not just the maximum image size. Manufacturer maximums such as 150 or 200 inches do not guarantee a bright, sharp picture at that size in ordinary conditions.
  • Assess the surface. Wall texture, color, waviness and imperfections can show in the projected image; ultra-short-throw setups are especially revealing.
  • Place before correcting. Auto-keystone and obstacle avoidance improve convenience, but physical leveling and careful placement generally preserve more of the image than extensive digital correction.
  • Do not assume a battery. The MoGo 3 Pro lists USB-C power input, not an integrated battery; the Halo+ (New) is the model in this announcement with a built-in battery.
  • Separate launch prices from current offers. The listed prices describe U.S. launch terms in 2024. Stock, discounts, product names and regional availability can change; check the seller’s current listing before purchase.

What changed—and what did not

The important change was a more TV-like built-in streaming experience on selected models: XGIMI explicitly tied Google TV to the MoGo 3 Pro, MoGo 2 Plus edition and Halo+ (New), while the Elfin Flip brought licensed Netflix under software that XGIMI’s own materials name inconsistently. That does not make the entire 2024 range one uniform smart-projector platform. The right choice still depends on where the projector sits, how much light the room has, whether it needs a battery and whether the model’s regional software supports the services you use.
