Xiaomi’s Smart Standing Air Circulation Fan is now officially listed on Xiaomi’s global website, and Xiaomi Japan announced sales beginning May 26, 2026. The original “launch imminent” wording came from a March 2025 report and is no longer an accurate worldwide status update. Xiaomi has not confirmed a universal global price, U.S. launch date, or U.S. availability on the global product page.
The fan combines tabletop and floor-standing use with Xiaomi Home app control, 100 speed levels, scheduling, smart scenes, wide oscillation, and a manufacturer-rated low-speed consumption of 1.78 watts. Those figures are useful, but several—including the headline 1.3-kWh seasonal estimate—apply only to specific test conditions.

What Xiaomi has actually launched
The official product name is Xiaomi Smart Standing Air Circulation Fan. It is a height-adjustable fan designed to work either on a table or as a floor-standing unit. Xiaomi positions it primarily as an air-circulation appliance rather than an air conditioner: it moves air around a room, improves perceived comfort, and can help distribute cooled, heated, or humidified air.
The product appeared in a March 29, 2025 report that anticipated a broader rollout before summer. Xiaomi’s official global page is now live, while the Japanese announcement confirms a regional release. That is better described as a regional rollout than proof that the fan is available worldwide.

What the Xiaomi Home app can do
The Xiaomi Home app provides more precise control than the fan’s physical buttons. In Direct Breeze mode, users can select among 100 wind-speed levels. The physical controls map to four broad settings—1, 35, 70, and 100 in the app—so the fine adjustment is primarily an app feature.
The listed functions include:
- Fan-speed adjustment
- Direct Breeze and Natural Wind modes
- Scheduling
- Horizontal and vertical oscillation control
- Smart scenes linked to other Xiaomi devices
- Potential voice control through Google Assistant and Alexa
Voice support is not universal. Xiaomi says compatible voice devices are required and that availability depends on country, region, and language. App screens may also differ by operating-system version and region, so buyers should not assume that every menu shown in Xiaomi’s promotional material will appear identically in their account.
Temperature-based automation
Xiaomi gives an example of linking the fan with a temperature-and-humidity monitor, an air conditioner, or another device with Bluetooth-gateway functionality. A smart scene could turn the fan on or off when the room passes thresholds such as 27°C or 18°C.
That does not establish universal compatibility with third-party sensors, Home Assistant, Matter, Thread, or offline control. The exact automation options may depend on the Xiaomi Home server region, account, firmware, gateway, and separately purchased devices.
What the 1.3-kWh power claim really means
Xiaomi’s most striking energy figure is not an all-purpose consumption rating. The company reports 1.78 watts in Direct Breeze mode at speed level 1 with oscillation turned off. It then estimates approximately 1.3 kWh over 90 days when the fan runs eight hours per day.

A person using higher speeds or oscillation should expect more energy use. Xiaomi also warns that experimental data may differ in real-world operation.
Owners who want to check their own consumption should use an energy-monitoring plug or inline meter, while remembering that inexpensive smart plugs can be inaccurate at very low loads. A fluctuating reading does not necessarily indicate a fault.
How powerful is it?
Xiaomi claims airflow of 1,440 m3/h and a ventilation range of 13 metres. It also describes a theoretical whole-room circulation time of about two minutes for a room measuring 17 m2 with a 2.8-metre ceiling.
The volume calculation is approximately:
17 m2 × 2.8 m ÷ 25 m3/min ≈ 2 minutesThis is an air-movement estimate, not a promise that every room will feel cool in two minutes. Air circulation and refrigeration are different. The fan cannot lower room temperature like an air conditioner; it can move already-cooled air, improve evaporative comfort, reduce stagnant pockets, or distribute humidifier output.

Xiaomi reports 27.9 dB(A) at speed level 1 in Direct Breeze mode with oscillation disabled. That is a manufacturer test-condition figure, not a guaranteed noise level across the full speed range. Noise can rise with higher airflow and oscillation, and may also be affected by uneven flooring, incorrect assembly, dust, mechanical wear, walls, or nearby furniture.

The global listing does not prove U.S. retail availability or a worldwide MSRP. Xiaomi explicitly says availability varies by region and directs customers to local websites.
Importing a Japanese or other regional unit may create problems involving plug type, voltage, warranty coverage, Xiaomi Home account region, firmware, voice features, replacement parts, and local service. A foreign-market price should not be presented as a U.S. price.
How it differs from other Xiaomi smart fans
Mi Smart Standing Fan Pro
This is a separate, older model with a built-in 33.6-Wh battery, wireless operation, 100 airflow settings, up to 140° ventilation, a claimed minimum noise level of 26.6 dB(A), and Xiaomi Home, Alexa, and Google Assistant support. It is the better fit for portability or backup operation during outages, but its regional availability and price are separate questions.
Mijia Smart Standing Fan Pro Slim
The Pro Slim is a different slim-design model with app-customized wind curves, 100 app speed levels, and a claimed 1.9-W low-speed consumption. It requires a power connection during operation and should not be treated as a battery alternative.
Xiaomi Smart Tower Fan
The tower model uses a narrow, bladeless-style outlet and offers app control, child lock, timers up to 7×24 hours through the app, and supported Google Assistant and Alexa control. It is worth considering where floor width matters more than the tabletop/floor flexibility of the circulation fan.

Smartmi Standing Fan 3
Smartmi’s U.S. store lists a Standing Fan 3 with a 33.6-Wh battery, app control, AI voice control, and Bluetooth remote control. It may be a practical option for U.S. buyers seeking a currently marketed wireless smart fan, but Smartmi branding, warranty terms, and app behavior are not identical to those of a Xiaomi-branded product.

Who should consider the new fan?
It makes the most sense for buyers who already use Xiaomi Home and want granular speed control, schedules, smart scenes, wide oscillation, and a fan that can serve on a table or floor. It may also be useful alongside an air conditioner, heater, humidifier, or compatible Xiaomi temperature sensor.
Waiting is more sensible for U.S. buyers who need a local warranty, confirmed app-region support, a known price, or guaranteed replacement parts. Buyers who require battery operation should choose a battery-equipped alternative instead. Those who want simple physical controls may find the app dependence unnecessary.
Before buying or importing: a practical checklist
- Confirm that the exact model is listed on your local Xiaomi website.
- Check plug type, voltage, warranty, and local service coverage.
- Verify that the product can be added to your Xiaomi Home account region.
- Check whether required sensors or a Bluetooth gateway are sold and supported locally.
- Do not interpret 1.78 W or 1.3 kWh as typical consumption at every speed.
- Use the final regional manual for pairing, assembly, cleaning, and maintenance.
- Disconnect power before removing the cover or cleaning the fan.
- Do not assume outdoor, wet-room, Matter, Thread, Home Assistant, or offline support without model-specific documentation.

Xiaomi’s Smart Standing Air Circulation Fan is a real, officially documented product—not merely a speculative listing. Its strongest features are the flexible form factor, detailed Xiaomi Home controls, wide oscillation, and potentially low consumption at its lowest setting. But its energy figure is narrowly tested, its air-circulation claims should not be confused with air conditioning, and its smart features remain region-dependent.
The most accurate status as of August 18, 2026 is: listed globally and launched in Japan, with broader availability—including the United States—still requiring local confirmation. U.S. shoppers should wait for a local listing rather than importing solely because an international page exists.
