Xiaomi’s Redmi Soundbar Speaker 2 Pro is a two-piece desktop audio system, not a conventional TV soundbar. Launched in China in January 2026 and sold internationally as the Xiaomi Desktop Speaker Pro Set, it combines a soundbar-style main speaker, a separate wireless subwoofer, RGB lighting, USB, Bluetooth 5.3, AUX, and microphone support.
The China launch price was 499 yuan, while official European listings observed later ranged from €99.99 in Spain to €109.99 in Ireland. Xiaomi has published international product pages, but an official US retail listing was not verified.

What exactly is the Redmi Soundbar Speaker 2 Pro?
The naming is more confusing than the product. In China, Xiaomi introduced it as the Redmi Soundbar Speaker 2 Pro, also described as the Redmi Computer Speaker 2 Pro Set. Internationally, Xiaomi markets the same product category as the Xiaomi Desktop Speaker Pro Set.

- A horizontal main speaker designed to sit below a monitor.
- A separate subwoofer using a low-latency 2.4GHz wireless connection.
Although the main unit resembles a compact soundbar, Xiaomi positions the system for computers, phones, tablets, and other desktop scenarios. Its 53-degree upward tilt aims sound toward a seated listener, while the USB connection, microphone input, and desktop software further distinguish it from a living-room TV soundbar.

Xiaomi’s “four-driver” description needs context: the main speaker has two powered drivers and two passive radiators. Passive radiators help the enclosure produce bass but are not equivalent to four powered speaker drivers.
Wireless subwoofer does not mean cable-free
The subwoofer receives audio from the main speaker wirelessly, so no signal cable has to run between the two units. It still needs its own power adapter. The main speaker and subwoofer therefore require separate power connections, and placement remains limited by available wall outlets.
The wireless link is useful on a desk because it makes positioning easier and avoids an audio cable crossing the workspace. However, buyers should not expect a battery-powered subwoofer or a completely cable-free setup.

The units are factory-paired according to Xiaomi’s official manual. If pairing is lost, the manual says to hold the subwoofer’s power button for seven seconds, then place it within 0.5 metres of the powered-on main speaker. That procedure applies to this model and should not automatically be assumed to work with every Xiaomi soundbar.
RGB lighting and controls
The system includes six named lighting effects:
- Party 2.0
- Rainbow 2.0
- Starlight Twinkle
- Aurora 2.0
- Fireplace 2.0
- Colour Breath 2.0
The main speaker and subwoofer can synchronize their lighting, and Xiaomi describes effects that can react to music. That makes the system appealing for gaming desks and small rooms, but the available evidence does not establish compatibility with third-party RGB platforms such as Razer Chroma, ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light, or OpenRGB.

RGB is therefore an aesthetic feature rather than an audio upgrade. Buyers who dislike desk lighting can treat it as optional decoration; buyers seeking game-aware lighting should not assume that broad ecosystem integration is included.
Connectivity: USB, Bluetooth, AUX, and microphone input
For a desktop computer, USB is likely the most useful connection. It provides direct computer audio and is required for Xiaomi’s C-HUB software. Bluetooth 5.3 is more convenient for phones and tablets, although latency can vary by device and application. AUX-in provides a straightforward option for older hardware or devices without suitable USB or Bluetooth support.

The system also includes a rear 3.5mm microphone input and a built-in microphone with acoustic echo cancellation. Xiaomi lists the feature for calls and desktop use, but it is not evidence by itself of superior microphone quality.
Xiaomi’s specifications do not list HDMI ARC, optical audio, coaxial input, Dolby Audio, or DTS decoding for this model. It should therefore not be marketed as a full-featured home-theater soundbar.
What Xiaomi C-HUB does—and what remains uncertain
Xiaomi says the system can be customized through Xiaomi C-HUB, available through the Microsoft Store or Mac App Store. Xiaomi’s setup guidance says to connect the speaker to a computer via USB before using the software. The documented product material supports software control of sound and lighting, but does not establish every available menu, firmware function, RGB customization option, or account requirement.

Users connecting over Bluetooth or AUX should not assume that every C-HUB feature will be available. Imported Chinese-market units may also have different software, firmware, language, or regional support from international versions.
Is it a desktop speaker or a TV soundbar?
It is best understood as a desktop speaker system with a soundbar-shaped main unit.
- Desktop gaming and PC audio: strong fit, thanks to the upward angle, USB connection, microphone support, RGB, and separate subwoofer.
- Bedroom or small-room TV: potentially usable through Bluetooth or AUX, depending on the television’s outputs.
- Living-room home theater: poor fit if you need HDMI ARC, optical input, Dolby or DTS processing, or surround-oriented features.
For comparison, Xiaomi’s Soundbar 3.1ch is explicitly designed for home entertainment and lists HDMI input/output, optical, coaxial, Dolby Audio, DTS Virtual:X, a 3.1-channel layout, and up to 430W maximum combined power. Those are fundamentally different priorities from the Redmi/Xiaomi desktop set.

What does the 60Hz bass claim mean?
Xiaomi claims that the subwoofer extends bass down to 60Hz. This is a manufacturer specification, not an independent frequency-response measurement. It does not establish flat response, output level, distortion, or performance against a larger dedicated home-theater subwoofer.
The practical conclusion is modest: the separate subwoofer should offer more low-end presence than many small 2.0 monitor speakers, but “down to 60Hz” should not be interpreted as cinema-grade deep bass.

Price and regional availability
China
The product launched in China in January 2026 under its Redmi branding at a reported introductory price of 499 yuan, according to launch coverage. That figure is useful historical context, not a promised US price.
Europe
By August 18, 2026, Xiaomi had published international pages and regional listings under the Xiaomi Desktop Speaker Pro Set name. An official Spain listing showed €99.99, reduced from €109.99 at the time observed. Xiaomi’s Ireland store listed the set at €109.99, while German reporting cited an official price of approximately €130.
These differences can reflect VAT, promotions, market timing, and distribution. Prices should be checked in the buyer’s own country rather than converted directly from yuan.
United States
An official US Xiaomi product or buying page was not verified. International product pages do not, by themselves, confirm US availability, local warranty coverage, or delivery.

It makes the most sense for buyers who want a relatively affordable desktop system with more bass than compact monitor speakers, plus RGB lighting and a cleaner wireless connection between the main unit and subwoofer. It is particularly suited to PC gaming, small offices, bedrooms, students, and Xiaomi ecosystem buyers who can obtain the correct regional version.

Think twice if you need HDMI ARC or optical TV connectivity, Dolby Atmos or DTS:X, independently measured audio performance, a completely cable-free subwoofer, or straightforward local warranty support in a market where Xiaomi has not officially listed the product.
Common setup problems
The subwoofer will not connect
Confirm that both units have power and are close together. For this model, Xiaomi’s manual describes a seven-second press of the subwoofer power button followed by placement within 0.5 metres of the powered-on main speaker. Use the manual for the exact regional model before resetting it.
The speaker goes to sleep
The manual says the speaker enters sleep mode after approximately 15 minutes without activity. Ambient lighting may initially continue breathing orange before switching off. Over AUX, very low computer output volume may be interpreted as silence, so check the computer’s output level and playback device.
C-HUB does not detect the speaker
- Connect the main speaker directly to the computer by USB, avoiding an unpowered hub.
- Confirm that the computer is actually outputting audio to the Xiaomi speaker.
- Install or open the correct regional C-HUB version.
- Check whether the unit is a Chinese-market or international model.
- Test basic audio independently through Bluetooth or AUX.
- Consult the model-specific manual before attempting a reset.
It does not work properly with a TV
Bluetooth may pair with some televisions but can introduce latency or be unavailable. AUX works only if the TV provides a compatible analog output. Because HDMI ARC and optical are not listed for this model, it should not be treated as a universal TV soundbar.
Importing a Chinese-market unit
Before importing, check the plug and power-adapter type, warranty region, language of the packaging and manual, app and firmware behavior, and whether the seller is supplying the complete two-piece set. Also account for customs charges, return costs, and the possibility that the Redmi-branded Chinese version differs from the internationally branded Xiaomi set in software or support.
