The headline was a 116-inch RGB-MiniLED television, while the most immediately practical home-entertainment products were the L9Q Laser Cinema and C2 Ultra projector.
However, IFA was primarily a showcase rather than one global retail launch. Product names, specifications, software, prices and availability can vary by country. The sections below distinguish Hisense announcements and demonstrations from products confirmed as broadly available to buy.

The 116-inch RGB-MiniLED UX was Hisense’s headline product
Hisense positioned a 116-inch RGB-MiniLED television as the centerpiece of its IFA display program. The company described it as the world’s largest RGB-MiniLED TV and claimed peak brightness of up to 8,000 nits, 100% coverage of the BT.2020 color gamut and processing by its Hi-View AI Engine X. Hisense says the processor uses AI to control both light and color. These are manufacturer claims, not independent laboratory measurements. Hisense’s announcement provides the underlying specifications.

There is also a naming issue. Hisense’s main announcement calls the product the 116-inch RGB-MiniLED UX, while its awards announcement calls a similarly described product the 116-inch UXQ. Until country-specific product pages clarify the naming, these should be treated as regional or market-designation variations—not automatically as two separate televisions.

What RGB-MiniLED changes
Conventional Mini-LED LCD televisions typically use blue or white LEDs behind the LCD panel. The panel and its color-filter system then create the colors seen by the viewer. RGB-MiniLED attempts to place separate red, green and blue light sources in the backlight, allowing the television to control the primary colors more directly.
In theory, that can improve color volume, brightness efficiency, gradation and local control of bright and dark areas. It may also help a very large LCD display produce more saturated colors at high brightness. But RGB-MiniLED remains an LCD-based, backlit display. It is not self-emissive like OLED, and its real-world advantages will depend on local-dimming behavior, blooming, calibration, viewing angles, power use and processing.
Hisense’s Chinese-language event report additionally claimed that an upgraded RGB-MiniLED chip increased brightness by 120%, improved uniformity by 30% and that its H7 AI picture chip reduced haloing by more than 60% compared with traditional QD-MiniLED. The company did not provide enough comparative test context in the supplied announcement to treat those figures as independent results. They should be read as Hisense’s claimed improvements against its stated baseline.

For buyers who want a giant image in a bright room, a 116-inch direct-view television could be more convenient than a projector. It does not require a projection screen, alignment or a darkened room in the same way. Its scale could appeal to sports viewers, gamers and people building a large-format entertainment room.
The practical drawbacks are substantial. A 116-inch screen needs considerable wall and floor space, suitable viewing distance, specialist delivery and potentially professional installation. Pricing, warranty coverage and regional availability were not confirmed in the global IFA announcement. Nor is there enough independent measurement to conclude that it outperforms OLED, QD-OLED or a high-end conventional Mini-LED TV in every picture-quality category.
Smaller RGB-MiniLED sizes could be more important
Secondary coverage reported that Hisense demonstrated smaller RGB-MiniLED sizes, including an 85-inch version, and discussed a 100-inch model. Those sizes would make the technology relevant to more homes than a 116-inch flagship. They could offer some of the architecture’s intended brightness and color benefits without requiring such an extreme installation.
But the official global announcements supplied for this article focus on the 116-inch model and do not establish a complete worldwide size range, retail schedule or pricing structure. Treat the 85-inch and 100-inch products as IFA demonstrations or reported additions until a country-specific Hisense product page confirms otherwise. TechRadar’s IFA coverage reported on the smaller demonstrations.

MicroLED concepts
Hisense included MicroLED in its broader display program. The supplied announcement does not identify a consumer model number, complete size range, price or retail date. It is therefore more accurate to describe the MicroLED material as a technology direction or concept showcase rather than a confirmed 2025 product launch.
AI-enhanced televisions
AI was a recurring theme across the booth. Hisense described picture processing intended to optimize image quality and connect televisions to its wider “AI Your Life” strategy. The useful buying questions are not simply whether a television has AI, but which processing functions are active, whether they can be disabled, what content they support and whether regional software versions differ.
Hisense’s large-screen position
Hisense said that Omdia ranked it number one globally for shipments of televisions measuring 100 inches and above during the first half of 2025, with a claimed 58% global volume share. This is a market-position claim made by Hisense using its attribution of Omdia data, rather than an independently verified conclusion in this article. Read the company’s announcement for the attribution and scope.
L9Q Laser Cinema targets the home-theater buyer
The TriChroma Laser Cinema L9Q was Hisense’s principal projection product. Hisense said it can create an image up to 200 inches and supports IMAX Enhanced. Its ultra-short-throw format is designed to sit close to the wall, generally making it easier to install in a living room than a conventional ceiling-mounted projector. It is intended for buyers who want a 100- to 200-inch-class image without purchasing a television that physically occupies the same area.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteAn ultra-short-throw laser cinema system is not simply a projector that can be placed anywhere. It normally works best with a properly aligned dedicated screen, often an ambient-light-rejecting model. Screen material, wall flatness, placement and alignment affect the result. Room lighting can reduce perceived contrast, particularly in dark scenes, even when the projector itself is bright.
The L9Q’s IMAX Enhanced support may matter to viewers with compatible content and equipment, but the label is a format and certification feature—not proof that every source will look like a cinema presentation. Hisense said the L9Q won the IFA Innovation Award for Best in Home Entertainment. That recognizes the product; it is not an independent laboratory ranking of its picture quality or reliability. Hisense’s IFA overview contains the company’s product description.
C2 Ultra is the flexible laser mini projector
The C2 Ultra was presented as a more flexible option for movies, gaming and temporary large-screen setups. Hisense advertised projection up to 300 inches and highlighted ultra-low latency for gaming.

- [ Built-in Official Licensed Google TV ] - Without additional equipment, the smart projector can directly access Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, Hulu, and other applications. It greatly reduces the complexity of operation and makes watching movies more convenient
- [ Google Voice Assistant ] - Simply press and hold the voice control button and issue a simple voice command to quickly open Netflix, search for a movie, adjust the volume, or check the weather without fiddling with the mini projector remote buttons
- [ Excellent 4K Picture Quality ] - The HAPPRUN 4K projector supports 4K resolution, delivering clear and detailed images. With a brightness of 400 ANSI lumens, it guarantees bright and vivid visuals even in well-lit environments, perfect for indoor and outdoor use
- [ Powerful Sound Effect ] - The outdoor projector features a built-in 5W high-fidelity speaker and supports Dolby sound effects, delivering clear and balanced audio. Whether it’s deep bass or high-frequency details, the sound quality is immersive and realistic
- [ Mini & Portable ] - Designed to fit your backpack and your lifestyle. From cozy bedroom corners and compact apartments to starlit backyards and remote campsites—this portable powerhouse instantly transforms any surface into your personal cinema
A 300-inch maximum is a capability figure, not a promise that the image will remain bright, sharp or HDR-like at that size. Actual results depend on throw distance, screen or wall surface, room darkness, image mode and the viewer’s tolerance for reduced brightness over a very large area. Portable projectors also involve compromises in brightness, sound, connectivity and lens flexibility compared with a fixed home-cinema installation.
The C2 Ultra may suit renters, gamers or households that want to move the system between rooms. It is a poorer fit for someone expecting television-like HDR performance in a bright room at the maximum advertised image size.
Hisense’s smart appliances move toward AI assistants
PureFlat Smart Series refrigerator
Hisense highlighted a PureFlat Smart Series refrigerator with a 21-inch interactive display. The company described Kitchen AI meal-planning features, live-game streaming through VIDAA, AI-generated art and integration with the ConnectLife platform.
A large screen is not automatically useful food management. Before buying, shoppers should check whether the local model can identify food automatically, track expiry dates, maintain an inventory without extensive manual entry, and support the streaming services they use. They should also ask how long the software will be supported and what happens if connected services change or end.
The announcement does not confirm a universal retail price, country availability, software-support period or whether every advertised feature ships in every regional model. A European IFA model may use different software, voltage, services or hardware from a US version.
ConnectLife AI Agent
Hisense presented ConnectLife AI Agent as a software layer for compatible connected appliances. Named applications include an AI Cooking Agent and an AI Laundry Agent. The stated purpose is to provide cooking recommendations, simplify household routines and coordinate appliance-related tasks.
That does not necessarily mean the system autonomously manages a home. Buyers should confirm the compatible appliance list, ConnectLife account requirements, smartphone and network needs, supported languages, region-specific cloud services and whether any features require a subscription. The supplied announcement does not provide detailed privacy controls, data-retention rules or service-lifecycle commitments. ConnectLife information is available at connectlife.io.

U8 S Pro air conditioner focuses on comfort automation
The U8 S Pro Air Conditioner was presented as an AI-enabled climate product. Hisense listed HI-SENSOR presence detection, a voice assistant supporting 18 commands, HI-NANO ion air-purification technology, a dot-matrix display, Coanda airflow and 90-degree louver rotation.
These features are aimed at directing air more comfortably and reducing unwanted drafts. Hisense also said the U8 S Pro received a Red Dot Award: Design Concept. That is design-concept recognition, not independent evidence of cooling capacity, energy efficiency or air-cleaning performance.
For an air conditioner, core specifications matter more than the AI label. Confirm the local version’s cooling capacity, energy rating, refrigerant, noise levels, installation requirements, service coverage and replacement-filter arrangements. HI-NANO should not be treated as equivalent to HEPA filtration without quantified filtration or clean-air-delivery data. Presence detection should also be tested against real use: a person sitting still may be harder to detect than someone moving around.
Which Hisense products received IFA Innovation Awards?
Hisense announced that nine innovations received IFA Innovation Awards in 2025. The supplied award announcement specifically identifies four:
- L9Q Laser TV: winner in Best in Home Entertainment.
- 116-inch UXQ RGB-MiniLED TV: honoree.
- 136-inch MXQUV: honoree.
- Rollable Laser TV: honoree.
Because the available release does not document the complete list, it would be inaccurate to name all nine here. Awards indicate recognition by the awarding program; they do not establish superior laboratory performance, long-term reliability or value.
What was actually available to buy?
The IFA presentation should not be read as proof that every product was a global retail launch. The following status guide is the safest way to interpret the announcements:
| Product or technology | IFA status | What to verify before buying |
|---|---|---|
| 116-inch RGB-MiniLED UX/UXQ | Flagship showcased and announced; retail availability unclear globally | Exact regional model, price, warranty, delivery and installation |
| 85-inch and 100-inch RGB-MiniLED versions | Reported or demonstrated at IFA; not confirmed as a universal lineup | Country-specific product page and full specifications |
| MicroLED concepts | Technology showcase | Consumer model, price and launch date |
| L9Q Laser Cinema | Showcased; regional availability and pricing require confirmation | Included screen, installation, brightness and service |
| C2 Ultra | Showcased; regional availability and pricing require confirmation | Actual brightness, input lag, throw flexibility and accessories |
| PureFlat Smart refrigerator | Showcased; features may vary by regional SKU | 21-inch display, apps, AI functions, account and cloud requirements |
| ConnectLife AI Agent | Platform and feature announcement | Compatible appliances, language, subscription and privacy terms |
| U8 S Pro air conditioner | Showcased; regional format and installation requirements unclear | Cooling capacity, energy rating, refrigerant, filters and local service |
IFA products may launch later, use different model names or remain limited to selected markets. A country-specific Hisense product page or retailer listing is necessary before describing any item as available now.

Which IFA 2025 products matter most?
For maximum direct-view size: the 116-inch RGB-MiniLED television is the most ambitious product, but its physical scale and uncertain retail details make it a specialist purchase.
For a large home-cinema image: the L9Q is the more actionable concept if the buyer can accommodate a dedicated screen and control ambient light.
For flexibility and gaming: the C2 Ultra is the natural fit, provided expectations are set below television-like performance at 300 inches.
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
For smart-home adopters: the refrigerator and ConnectLife AI Agent are ecosystem plays. They are most compelling for households willing to use compatible appliances, accounts and cloud services.
For climate control: the U8 S Pro’s presence detection and airflow features may improve convenience, but local installation, energy performance and verified filtration data should decide the purchase.
Compared with OLED or QD-OLED, RGB-MiniLED’s potential strengths are size and high brightness rather than guaranteed pixel-level black control. Conventional Mini-LED may remain the more practical large-screen option for many buyers. Ultra-short-throw projectors from other manufacturers are alternatives for those who want a 100-inch-plus image without a giant direct-view panel. The right choice depends on room size, light levels, installation constraints and the availability of local support.
