Xiaomi’s Mijia Foldable Food Warming Board is a three-panel electric warming surface launched in China in October 2024. It uses a reported high-density graphene heating film, five temperature settings and three independently controlled heating zones. The original crowdfunding price was 349 yuan, against a stated regular price of 449 yuan.
The headline “10-second fast warm-up” does not mean a cold meal is ready to eat in 10 seconds. Launch reports also state that the board takes about four minutes to rise from roughly 25°C to 100°C. Food will take longer still, depending on its quantity, container and starting temperature. There is no verified official international launch or current global Xiaomi retail price established by the available evidence.

What the Mijia Foldable Food Warming Board is
The Mijia Foldable Food Warming Board is an electrically heated serving and warming surface made from three connected panels. It is designed to keep prepared food warm, gently heat drinks and ingredients, and provide a compact alternative to a conventional warming tray.
Some reports call it the “Mijia Folding Food Warmer” or “Folding Warming Cutting Board.” The safer description is food warming board. Xiaomi’s reported food-safe glass surface supports food contact, but the available specifications do not establish that it is intended for knife cutting. It should not automatically replace a conventional chopping board.

When folded, the three-panel design can stand upright and take up less storage space. The board is also reported to have a detachable plug, which may make wiping and storage more convenient. Exact folded and unfolded dimensions were not established in the available reports.
Graphene heating and the “10-second” claim
The board uses a reported high-density graphene heating film. Launch coverage says the film helps distribute heat across the panels and supports what Xiaomi describes as more uniform, three-dimensional heating.

The available evidence supports a surface-heating design spread across three panels; it does not show that the board heats the top or internal centre of food like an oven or microwave. Nor are there independent measurements proving superior efficiency, temperature uniformity or long-term durability.
The two headline performance figures need to be read together:
- About 10 seconds: reported rapid-start or panel-heating behaviour.
- About four minutes: reported time for the board to rise from approximately 25°C to 100°C.
Neither figure is a test showing that a specified amount of rice, soup, meat or frozen food reaches a safe or comfortable eating temperature in that time. A cold, dense meal in a thick container will heat much more slowly than the exposed board surface.

Reports list five temperature settings. These should be treated as board or target settings rather than guarantees that every item placed on the surface will reach the same temperature.

Actual results will depend on the food’s mass, starting temperature, container material, flatness and contact with the heated surface. A 130°C setting does not mean soup will boil uniformly, and it does not make unattended hot liquids safe.

One report refers to approximately 25°C in connection with starting or defrosting behaviour. Because that conflicts with the consistently reported five-setting list, it is best treated as a starting-temperature reference or an unconfirmed low-temperature mode—not as a confirmed sixth setting.
Three independently controlled zones
Each of the three panels is reported to have independent temperature control. In practical use, that could allow a user to keep soup on one section, rice or side dishes on another, and a drink or dessert on the third.
The reports do not establish that every zone can be set to any arbitrary temperature. The safer assumption is that each zone uses the available preset levels until Xiaomi’s full manual confirms otherwise.
This multi-zone layout is the board’s most meaningful difference from a single heating mat. It is potentially useful for family meals, slow diners and tabletop serving, where several dishes need gentle heat at once.
Safety and construction features
Reported design features include:
- Aerogel insulation: intended to reduce heat transfer to the surface underneath.
- Anti-scald edge: reported at approximately 2 centimetres.
- Anti-slip support: 12 silicone pads are reported.
- Child lock: listed among the safety features.
- Food-safe glass surface: suitable for food contact according to launch descriptions.
- Detachable plug: intended to simplify storage and cleaning.
Aerogel insulation is not proof that every countertop will remain cool. Use the board on a stable, heat-resistant surface, maintain the clearances specified by the final manual and do not cover ventilation areas. Do not submerge the appliance or assume the glass surface can be placed in a dishwasher unless Xiaomi’s instructions explicitly allow it.
Hot liquids can spill, and steam or splashing can cause burns. The safety features reduce particular risks but do not remove the need for supervision.

What can it be used for?
Launch reports associate the board with:
- Keeping prepared food warm
- Warming soup, milk, wine and other drinks
- Gentle thawing
- Dough fermentation
- Drying fruit slices
- Low-temperature brewing
- Warming skincare products
These are reported or advertised use cases, not independent performance tests. In particular, gradual warming is not the same as validated food dehydration, cooking or food-safe defrosting. Frozen and perishable food can pass through unsafe temperature ranges, so normal food-safety practices still apply.

Usually, no. The Mijia board is closer to a foldable, multi-zone warming tray than to a microwave, oven or cooker.

A microwave is generally the more practical appliance for leftovers, large portions and rapid reheating. An induction cooker is better for actual cooking and boiling, although it requires suitable cookware and cannot simply support several serving dishes on a flat warming surface. Xiaomi’s Chinese induction-cooker page lists a Mijia model with 99 heat levels, low-temperature cooking and a stated 2,100W maximum power: official product page.
Price, launch date and availability
Xiaomi launched the board through Xiaomi Youpin crowdfunding in China in October 2024. Reports list a crowdfunding price of 349 yuan, compared with a stated regular price of 449 yuan. The reported crowdfunding window ran from October 9 to October 16, with shipping expected from October 23, 2024.
Those are historical launch figures, not a confirmed 2026 worldwide price. Xiaomi’s Chinese product-review page confirms the product listing but does not, by itself, establish current stock or an official international launch: Xiaomi product page.
Import listings may exist, including a Banggood product listing, but a third-party listing is not evidence of official local distribution. Buyers should verify:
- Voltage and frequency
- Plug type and whether a transformer is required
- Electrical certification for their country
- Warranty and returns
- Replacement power-cord availability
- Whether the seller is supplying the genuine product and its regional manual
The available reports do not establish the board’s exact electrical rating. A simple plug adapter may not be enough if the appliance’s voltage is incompatible.
Who should consider it?
The board makes the most sense for someone who wants a compact tabletop warmer, regularly serves several dishes at once, prefers gentle heat, or has limited storage space. Three zones could be useful for family meals or buffet-style serving.

What remains unverified
The available launch coverage repeats Xiaomi’s specifications but does not provide independent laboratory testing. There are no verified measurements here for wattage, energy consumption, thermal maps, long-term durability or exact temperature uniformity.
Although the product carries the Mijia name, the retrieved evidence does not establish Mi Home app support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Xiao AI voice control or remote operation. It should not be described as a connected smart-home appliance without confirmation in the official manual or product page.
