Dreame used IFA 2025 to present a future-facing robotics platform rather than a single new vacuum. Its headline demonstration was Cyber X, a concept robot-vacuum system designed to move between floors using the company’s Bionic QuadTrack technology. The more immediate commercial story was Dreame’s expanded A3 AWD robotic lawn-mower range.
Dreame also reported a 139% year-over-year increase in European revenue from January through July 2025. That figure is company-reported and applies to a specific region and period—not to Dreame’s global annual revenue.

What Dreame showed at IFA 2025
Dreame held its IFA press conference on September 4, 2025. The presentation covered robotic vacuums, robotic lawn care, floor-care equipment and a wider connected-home strategy. Dreame said its dedicated IFA hall contained 22 product lines, including 15 new categories. IFA’s event listing confirms the timing of the company’s press conference.
Not everything on display was a shipping product. The important distinction is between Cyber X, a concept demonstration, and the A3 AWD lawn mowers, which now have official U.S. product pages.

Cyber X is a stair-climbing concept, not a product you can buy
Dreame presented Cyber X as a platform made up of three elements:
- a robot vacuum;
- the Bionic QuadTrack stair-climbing system; and
- a base station.
The intended benefit is straightforward: a single robot could potentially travel between floors without the owner carrying it upstairs. That addresses one of the biggest limitations of conventional robot vacuums, which normally need a separate charging and cleaning arrangement on each level.

Independent IFA coverage from Tom’s Guide reported that the QuadTrack system was a concept with no release date at the time of the show and was not backward-compatible with existing Dreame robot vacuums.
What the QuadTrack demonstration established
Tom’s Guide reported that the tracked system climbed steps up to approximately 9.8 inches (25 centimetres) at around 0.2 metres per second. That is useful evidence of the technology demonstration, but it does not establish how the system would perform in a typical home over months or years.
The available information does not confirm:
- whether the tracked chassis carries the complete vacuum or transports a detachable vacuum;
- which straight, curved or spiral staircases it could use;
- whether it supports open-riser stairs or unusually deep or shallow steps;
- how it aligns at the top and bottom of a staircase;
- what happens on wet, damaged or cluttered steps;
- where the base station must be installed;
- whether it cleans stair treads or only uses the stairs to change floors;
- what safety redundancy prevents a fall; or
- the eventual price, launch geography, service arrangements or replacement-track availability.
A working trade-show demonstration also does not prove long-term track durability, safe operation around children and pets, recovery after a navigation error, or what happens if the battery becomes depleted on a staircase. Those issues matter more to a household than the headline stair-climbing claim.
For now, Cyber X is best understood as evidence of Dreame’s robotics direction—not evidence that consumers can replace a conventional multi-floor cleaning setup.

Dreame says the mowers can identify and avoid more than 300 objects and operate without perimeter wires or an RTK reference station. These are manufacturer claims, not independent test results. Performance will depend on factors such as lighting, object size and shape, firmware, grass condition and the accuracy of the initial map.
A3 AWD specifications and suitability
The official A3 AWD product page lists 1,000- and 2,000-square-metre versions, cutting-height adjustment from 3 to 10 centimetres, AWD, 3D LiDAR, binocular vision, app control and multi-zone management. Dreame specifies maximum slope performance of 80% or 38.7 degrees.
The 80% figure is a manufacturer specification, not a guarantee that the mower will safely climb every lawn with that incline. Wet grass, mud, loose soil, gravel, roots, ruts and the direction of travel can all affect traction. A stated lawn area also does not guarantee that the machine will mow the entire area in one day.
The standard A3 AWD may suit a smaller or medium-sized lawn where the owner wants wire-free mapping and additional traction. It is less compelling for a small, flat garden where a simpler mower costs substantially less, or for a property divided by steps and disconnected areas that require manual relocation.
A3 AWD Pro for larger or more complex lawns
The A3 AWD Pro product page lists 2,500-, 3,500- and 5,000-square-metre capacities, a 40-centimetre cutting width, 3-to-10-centimetre cutting-height adjustment, 4G connectivity and management of up to 150 zones. It retains the listed 80%/38.7-degree slope rating, 3D LiDAR, binocular AI vision and 300-plus-object avoidance claim.
The U.S. page displayed a price of $2,499.99, reduced from $3,099.99, when the supplied product information was checked. Prices, promotions, shipping, connectivity terms and regional availability can change, so buyers should verify the live page before ordering.
The Pro range is aimed at larger, sloped or more complicated properties. Its higher price and 4G, app and account requirements make it a poor fit for owners who prioritise low cost, minimal cloud dependence or a simple flat garden.

What “AI lawn mower” means in practice
In this case, “AI” refers to the combination of cameras, LiDAR, mapping software and automated decision-making used to identify objects, create lawn zones and plan mowing routes. It does not mean the mower can safely handle every hazard without preparation.
Owners should still remove toys, hoses, cables, branches and pet waste. They should define exclusion areas around ponds, drops, retaining walls, steps and other dangerous edges. A mower may also need a secure charging location and a route between lawn zones that does not cross an inaccessible path or gate.
EdgeMaster may reduce the uncut strip beside borders, but irregular flower beds, walls and raised edging can still leave grass that requires a trimmer. Low light, shadows, fallen leaves and wet conditions may also affect obstacle recognition and traction.
What the 139% growth figure actually means
Dreame reported a 139% year-over-year increase in European revenue from January through July 2025. The comparison is with the same period in 2024. It should not be rewritten as 139% global growth, full-year 2025 growth or growth across every Dreame product category.

The company’s stated direction is a connected smart-home ecosystem managed through a single Dreame app. That could eventually make the brand more useful to households buying several categories. For a buyer who only needs a vacuum or mower, however, ecosystem breadth does not automatically improve cleaning performance, reliability or value.
As with the mowers, availability varies by country and by product. A product shown at IFA should not be assumed to be available in every market merely because another Dreame product has an official local page.

What buyers should check before choosing a robotic mower
- Measure the actual mowing area. Compare the usable grass area—not the total property size—with the model’s rated capacity.
- Map slopes and transitions. Check the route the mower must travel, including ramps, narrow passages, loose ground and changes between lawn sections.
- Identify hazards. Mark ponds, retaining walls, steps, drops, flower beds, paths and areas where pets or children play.
- Confirm connectivity. Check whether the desired functions require the Dreame app, an account, cloud access or 4G service in your country.
- Plan maintenance. Ask about blades, tyres, batteries, cleaning, winter storage, software support and local repairs.
- Check the boundaries after mapping. Wire-free navigation still needs a careful initial survey and review of no-go zones.
Potential alternatives include Segway Navimow and Mammotion LUBA, both of which target wire-free or all-terrain robotic mowing in different model and regional configurations. Roborock is another relevant comparison for robot-vacuum ecosystems. The useful comparison is by lawn size, slope, boundary method, connectivity, service network and replacement-parts cost—not by the word “AI” alone.
The verdict
Dreame’s IFA 2025 presentation was significant because it showed the company trying to move from robot vacuums into broader home and yard robotics. Cyber X was the most striking idea, but it remained a concept with no established consumer launch, price or broad compatibility. It should not be treated as a currently available stair-climbing vacuum.
The A3 AWD and A3 AWD Pro are the more concrete products. Their LiDAR, vision systems, AWD and multi-zone features could be useful on large or uneven lawns, but the headline specifications remain manufacturer claims and do not remove the need for careful mapping, hazard exclusion and maintenance planning.
