Xiaomi launched two China-market Mijia 3HP floor-standing air conditioners in May 2024: the Dual-Outlet Natural Air Pro and Dual-Outlet Fresh Air Pro. They use two indoor air outlets to distribute conditioned air across a wider area, while the Fresh Air Pro adds outdoor-air intake and filtration. Xiaomi promoted energy savings of up to 40%, but that figure is a manufacturer claim—not an independently verified reduction that every household should expect.

The products were reported as China launches, and Xiaomi did not announce global availability for this 2024 series. Xiaomi’s product pages list the Natural Air Pro specifications and Fresh Air Pro specifications.
“Dual-exhaust” actually means dual-outlet
The phrase “dual-exhaust” can give the wrong impression. Xiaomi’s Chinese terminology, 双出风, refers to dual air outlets on the indoor unit—not two conventional outdoor exhaust pipes.

The bionic “wing” outlets can direct conditioned air in different directions. Reported features include:
- Maximum airflow of up to 1,710 m3/h.
- A reported 160-degree wide-angle delivery range.
- Four-zone independent airflow control.
- “Sky curtain” and “carpet” airflow modes.
- Xiaomi’s Lingyun intelligent-control engine.
This design is intended to spread cooling or heating more evenly than a single central stream. It may help reduce hot and cold spots in an open room, but airflow capacity alone does not guarantee comfort. Room dimensions, ceiling height, insulation, solar gain, humidity, outdoor temperature, furniture placement and louver settings all matter. High airflow can also feel drafty to occupants who are sensitive to moving air.

The Fresh Air Pro is not simply the Natural Air Pro with a second outlet. It adds a fresh-air system reported to provide up to 245 m3/h of outdoor-air intake, along with dual-circulation fresh-air technology and outdoor-air filtration.
Chinese launch coverage also reported four-layer EPA filtration, a claimed 99% antibacterial rate and anti-mold protection for the filter. These figures should be read as product or test-condition claims from Xiaomi and retail coverage, not as medical or whole-home air-quality guarantees. The available launch information does not establish independent air-quality testing.
Fresh-air intake can be useful in a frequently occupied room with limited ventilation, but it introduces important construction and operating considerations. A suitable installation may require an exterior-wall opening or dedicated pathway. The available launch reports do not fully document the installation method, filter replacement interval or maintenance schedule, so those details should be confirmed with Xiaomi or the installer for the exact model.
Outdoor air also carries outdoor heat, humidity and pollutants. In a hot, humid or heavily polluted location, ventilation may increase the cooling and filtration workload. The Fresh Air Pro should therefore not be treated as a substitute for a properly designed whole-home mechanical ventilation system.

There is a small but important depth discrepancy in secondary reports: IT Home reported 441 mm, while Gizmochina reported 444 mm. For a tight installation, do not rely on a reseller summary. Confirm the exact model number and current Xiaomi specification sheet before ordering cabinetry, wall finishes or service clearances.
How credible is the 40% energy-saving claim?
Xiaomi promoted the Pro series with an energy-saving rate of up to 40%. The claim appears connected to intelligent control and energy-management algorithms, but the available launch coverage does not establish the comparison baseline, operating conditions, test duration or regulatory methodology.

That means the figure should not be rewritten as “uses 40% less electricity in every home.” Actual consumption depends on compressor operation, set temperature, outdoor conditions, humidity, insulation, air leakage, occupancy and installation quality.

- Operating at extreme heating or cooling settings.
- Leaving doors or windows open.
- Poor insulation or significant solar exposure.
- Oversizing the system for the room.
- Frequent switching between heating and cooling.
- Using fresh-air intake during hot, humid or polluted weather.
- Incorrect refrigerant-line installation or charging.
Xiaomi’s later ESG reporting also discusses savings of up to 40% for Mijia air-conditioning AI algorithms, but that wording refers to different product and efficiency-index context. It is not independent validation of the exact 2024 models.
What does 3HP mean?
In China’s residential air-conditioner market, “3HP” is a capacity category or marketing label. It does not mean the unit continuously consumes three horsepower of electricity.
Electrical demand varies with compressor speed, indoor and outdoor temperatures, humidity, setpoint and operating mode. Buyers should compare the rated and maximum cooling and heating capacities, efficiency values, noise, electrical requirements and installation instructions rather than sizing a system from “3HP” alone.
Room sizing is not established by the launch reports
The 2024 launch reports do not provide a universally applicable room-size rating for both models. Do not automatically apply a later rating to these products: a 2025 radar-equipped Fresh Air Pro variant was reported as suitable for 30–40 m2, but that is a different product generation.

- Floor area and ceiling height.
- Climate and outdoor design temperature.
- Insulation and air leakage.
- Window area and solar exposure.
- Occupants and heat-producing appliances.
- Whether the unit must provide heating as well as cooling.
An oversized unit may cool quickly without controlling humidity as effectively as a correctly sized system. A qualified local HVAC professional should assess the room and the building envelope before installation.

- Maintenance access: Leave practical access for filters, cleaning and future repairs.
Fresh-air filtration creates an additional maintenance responsibility. Xiaomi’s launch reports do not establish replacement intervals, so owners should obtain the exact service schedule and confirm that replacement filters are available where the unit will be installed.

For buyers outside mainland China, the main obstacle is not simply finding an import listing. Xiaomi’s 2024 launch coverage did not confirm international sales. A China-market unit may involve:

- Chinese-language controls or mainland-China Mi Home region restrictions.
- No local warranty or authorized service network.
- Difficulty obtaining filters, parts and compatible remotes.
- Refrigerant, electrical and installation-code issues.
- Limited support if the outdoor unit, control board or compressor fails.
An import marketplace listing is not proof of U.S. certification, U.S. warranty coverage or normal integration with a U.S. HVAC system. U.S. buyers should not assume compatibility without confirmation from Xiaomi and a qualified HVAC contractor.
Do not confuse it with Xiaomi’s later model
By August 2026, Xiaomi’s global website listed a related Mijia Fresh Air Conditioner Pro Dual-Outlet Vertical 3HP at 8,999 RMB. The later listing includes additional radar-based sensing, HEPA filtration and negative-ion purification.
That appears to be a later or more advanced variant, not necessarily the same configuration as the 2024 Natural Air Pro and Fresh Air Pro. Features such as millimeter-wave radar, detection of up to six people, wind-follow and wind-avoid modes should not be attributed to the original 2024 models without checking the exact model number. Which model makes more sense?
Natural Air Pro
It is the more straightforward choice if the priority is broad, distributed airflow and Xiaomi smart-home integration. It may suit a room that already has adequate ventilation and does not need outdoor-air intake. Its reported launch price was also 1,200 yuan lower than the Fresh Air Pro.

Fresh Air Pro
Choose it only when fresh-air intake and filtration address a real need, such as a frequently occupied room with poor ventilation, and when the building can accommodate the required installation pathway. The higher price, filtration maintenance and possible increase in cooling load should be part of the decision.
Consider neither
A conventional locally supported system is likely the safer choice when warranty coverage, certified installation, replacement parts and service response matter more than Xiaomi ecosystem features. Neither model is a good fit if the room is too small, electrical compatibility is uncertain, filters are unavailable or independently tested energy performance is essential.
Bottom line
Xiaomi’s 2024 Mijia Pro series is best understood as two China-market 3HP vertical air conditioners with unusually distributed indoor airflow, not as a pair of dual-pipe exhaust systems. The Natural Air Pro focuses on airflow; the Fresh Air Pro adds fresh-air intake and filtration. The 40% energy-saving figure remains a Xiaomi claim whose real-world result will vary by building and operating conditions. For an international construction or renovation project, installation details, electrical compatibility, service support and filter availability are at least as important as the headline specifications.
