Xiaomi launched the Smart Home Display 11 in China on December 27, 2025, at CNY 1,299—approximately $185 using the conversion reported at launch. It is an 11-inch tabletop smart-home display with HyperOS, an 8MP front camera, a built-in stand, a rear speaker, video-calling features, picture-frame mode and AI functions. Xiaomi has not confirmed a U.S. or broader international launch in the sources reviewed, so $185 should not be treated as a U.S. retail price.
What is the Xiaomi Smart Home Display 11?
The Xiaomi Smart Home Display 11 is designed as a fixed-position household screen rather than a conventional Android tablet. Its intended roles include controlling compatible Xiaomi smart-home products, displaying media, handling voice interactions, supporting video calls and showing photos or artwork.

Its tabletop design makes it closer to a small portable TV or dedicated smart-home panel than to a general-purpose tablet. Buyers should not assume that it offers unrestricted Android app installation, Google Play, battery-powered operation or tablet-level portability; those details were not confirmed in the available launch coverage.

The 1,920 × 1,200 panel has a 16:10 aspect ratio. It is not described as a 4K, OLED or HDR display. The reported 400-nit brightness may be suitable for typical indoor use, but it does not establish outdoor readability, contrast, viewing angles or overall image quality.
Features and household uses
Smart-home control
The screen can be used to view and control compatible Xiaomi smart-home devices. That could make it useful in a kitchen, living room or entryway where household members want a visible control surface instead of opening a phone app.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesHowever, the reports do not confirm support for Matter, Thread, Zigbee, Google Home, Alexa, Apple Home or other third-party platforms. HyperOS is the device’s operating system; that alone does not prove compatibility with every product or smart-home standard associated with Xiaomi.

Video calls
The 8MP front-facing camera is intended to support video calling. The available reports do not identify every supported calling service, whether accounts are region-limited or whether the camera has a physical shutter or independent privacy control.
Voice commands and AI
Launch coverage reports cross-platform voice-command support, AI question-and-answer functions and support for more than seven dialects. These claims should be read in the context of a China-market product: the supported languages, services, cloud requirements and availability outside China are not fully documented.
Media and picture-frame mode
The display can play video and audio content and operate as a digital picture frame. Reports also describe access to substantial video and audio content, but they do not provide a complete app catalog, service list, subscription structure or international availability for that content.
Compact tabletop design
Launch coverage says that moving the speaker to the rear enabled a 35.5% reduction in overall size compared with an earlier design. The comparison baseline is not specified, so this should not be interpreted as a precise 35.5% reduction in thickness, weight or volume.

HyperOS does not make it a Xiaomi tablet
A Xiaomi tablet is generally purchased as a portable computing device. The Smart Home Display 11 is presented as a dedicated household screen. Its likely strengths are always-available controls, a built-in stand, a large interface, a dedicated camera and picture-frame functions.
A tablet remains the safer choice for buyers who need broad app support, portable use, a battery, cellular connectivity or conventional personal computing. None of those tablet-like capabilities are confirmed for the Smart Home Display 11.
The distinction is especially important for international buyers. A China-market smart display may use Chinese-first software, region-specific services and account requirements that do not apply to a locally sold tablet.

Price and availability
The confirmed price signal is CNY 1,299 in China. The approximately $185 figure is a currency conversion from the reported China price, not a confirmed U.S. MSRP. The launch was reported on December 27, 2025, and the product was described as available in China.

An imported unit could cost more after currency changes, shipping, retailer markup, import duties, brokerage fees and local taxes. Warranty coverage may also be restricted to China. Before comparing it with a locally sold smart display, calculate the complete landed cost rather than comparing against the $185 conversion alone.
The reviewed coverage did not confirm a U.S., European or global SKU, international warranty coverage, official overseas pricing or English-language firmware. A secondary report also noted that a global version had not been officially confirmed; see Računalniške novice.
What buyers outside China should check
- Region compatibility: Confirm that the display can be activated in your country and works with the Xiaomi account region you use.
- Existing devices: Check whether your Xiaomi or Mijia products are assigned to the same region. Devices bought in different markets may not appear together.
- Language support: Confirm the actual interface, voice-command and AI languages rather than relying on a retailer’s “global” label.
- Services: Verify that video calling, media and AI features work outside China and do not require China-only accounts.
- Firmware: Ask how updates are delivered and whether a claimed “global ROM” is official, updateable and safe.
- Returns and warranty: Confirm who pays return shipping and whether repairs are available outside China.
- Privacy controls: Look for a physical camera shutter, microphone mute control and clear information about cloud processing before placing the device in a private room.
Who should consider it?
The Smart Home Display 11 may suit China-based buyers or Xiaomi-heavy households already using the relevant China-region ecosystem. Its 11-inch screen, stand and camera could be useful for household controls, family calls, photos and indoor media.
It is a riskier purchase for anyone who requires guaranteed U.S. support, English-first software, Google Home, Alexa, Apple Home, broad third-party app support or easy local returns. Buyers without compatible Xiaomi devices may also get less value from a dedicated ecosystem screen.

Alternatives to evaluate
Buyers seeking local support should compare the device’s complete imported cost and regional limitations with products sold for their market:
- Google Nest Hub or Nest Hub Max for households already using Google Home.
- Amazon Echo Show for buyers invested in Alexa and seeking a local retail channel in the United States.
- Apple iPad for a general-purpose tablet that can also display smart-home controls, though it needs a separate stand or mount.
- Samsung Galaxy Tab for buyers who want a conventional Android tablet rather than a dedicated Xiaomi display.
Model availability and pricing vary by country and change over time, so these are comparison categories rather than current price recommendations.
The bottom line
Xiaomi’s Smart Home Display 11 is an interesting China-market smart-home screen, not yet a straightforward $185 U.S. recommendation. The CNY 1,299 launch price and reported 11-inch HyperOS design are appealing, but region compatibility, software, services, privacy controls, warranty and international availability remain decisive unknowns.
