Xiaomi has listed its Smart Filtered Water Dispenser Pro on its global website and on regional sites including Singapore, Malaysia, Chile and Morocco. The countertop appliance combines reverse-osmosis filtration, instant heating and smart dispensing, but the July 3, 2024 announcement did not confirm international pricing or a launch date. A U.S. price, official U.S. purchase page and U.S. warranty support remain unverified.
That distinction matters: a global product listing signals intended international distribution, not guaranteed retail availability in every country.
What Xiaomi announced
The Smart Filtered Water Dispenser Pro appeared on Xiaomi’s global product website as an international-market model. The original announcement was reported on July 3, 2024, and did not include confirmed country-by-country pricing or release timing. Xiaomi’s global listing now documents the appliance, while regional pages are available for Singapore, Malaysia, Chile and Morocco.
Coverage from Gizmochina and Notebookcheck described the product as heading toward global markets, but neither source established a universal retail launch. The China price reported at the time—approximately 1,999 yuan—should not be treated as an international MSRP or U.S. price.

How the dispenser works
This is a refillable countertop appliance rather than a permanently plumbed-in system. Users fill the source-water tank, plug in the unit and empty the separate wastewater tank as needed. That makes it potentially useful in apartments, rental properties and kitchens where an under-sink installation is impractical.
RO and PPC filtration
Xiaomi describes a dual-filter system using a reverse-osmosis (RO) filter and a PPC filter, with six stages of filtration. Its product material lists sand, rust, unpleasant odors, residual chlorine, bacteria, scale, heavy metals, organic matter, viruses, pesticide residues and antibiotics among the contaminants or categories addressed by the system.
The company specifies RO filtration precision of up to 0.0001 micrometers and claims removal of up to 99.9% of lead under its cited test conditions. These are manufacturer specifications and test claims—not an independent guarantee for every water supply. Results can vary with incoming water quality, filter age, flow rate and maintenance. Buyers should also check applicable local drinking-water certifications rather than relying on headline percentages alone.
UV treatment in the tank
The independent tank includes continuous UV sterilization. Xiaomi says this can remove up to 99.9% of E. coli and help prevent secondary contamination inside the tank, according to its regional documentation. UV treatment of the tank does not sterilize every possible contaminant in incoming water and does not eliminate the need to clean the tanks, drip tray and wastewater compartment.

The 4.4-liter clean-water compartment is isolated from the 1.8-liter wastewater compartment. Xiaomi says rejected water is not recirculated into the drinking-water supply. Because RO filtration produces wastewater, users must monitor and empty the smaller tank rather than assume that one clean-water refill always corresponds to one wastewater emptying.

The 2,100-watt thick-film heater is designed to heat water on demand. Xiaomi markets this as instant heating, with room-temperature, infant-formula, coffee and boiling-water presets. “Boiling water” is a preset label, not proof that every serving reaches a legally defined boiling temperature. Actual output can vary with the selected setting, flow rate, voltage, altitude and seasonal conditions.
Smart features and controls
A TFT touchscreen provides direct control, while the Xiaomi Home/Mi Home app allows users to select temperature and volume, create beverage profiles and operate the dispenser remotely or through saved settings.
The NFC system can identify a tagged cup or bottle and automatically dispense its associated temperature and volume. Depending on the regional package, Xiaomi includes an NFC insulated bottle or an NFC tag. Xiaomi’s Singapore documentation warns that NFC stickers should not be attached to metal cups because metal can interfere with recognition.
The dispenser also uses two-color ambient lighting during dispensing and includes a child-safety lock for hotter water. Xiaomi’s regional documentation says the lock activates automatically at temperatures of 50°C or above and can be disabled by pressing and holding the child-lock button for five seconds.
Filter replacement and routine maintenance
Xiaomi recommends replacing the filters approximately once a year, but that is not a universal guarantee. The company says the dual-filter system was tested for 2,000 liters and uses an assumed consumption of 5 liters per day—roughly 400 days, or about 1.1 years.

Actual replacement timing depends on local water quality and household usage. Before buying, confirm all of the following:
- The correct regional RO/PPC cartridge is available.
- Replacement filters are sold through a dependable local or authorized channel.
- The current filter price fits the expected ownership budget.
- The appliance’s warranty and service coverage apply in your country.
Xiaomi provides an intelligent cleaning and flushing program for first use and filter replacement, but the appliance is not maintenance-free. Removable tanks, the drip tray and the wastewater compartment still require regular cleaning. A small amount of water inside a newly opened unit may be normal because Xiaomi says devices are tested with water before leaving the factory.
Important installation and electrical checks
Although the unit does not normally require permanent plumbing, its electrical requirements deserve attention. A 2,100-watt heater can draw substantial current, and an imported version may use a different mains voltage, plug or safety certification. A plug adapter changes the physical connection; it does not convert voltage.
Check the model’s rated voltage against the local supply, use an appropriate grounded outlet and avoid unsuitable extension leads or overloaded circuits. For a construction or renovation project, the appliance should be treated like any other high-wattage countertop heating device when planning kitchen outlets and circuit capacity.

Availability: what U.S. buyers should verify
The existence of a global Xiaomi page does not establish official U.S. sales. A U.S. buyer should confirm:
- An official U.S. Xiaomi product or checkout page.
- Voltage and plug compatibility with the intended installation.
- A U.S. warranty and authorized service route.
- U.S.-compatible replacement RO/PPC filters.
- Compatibility with the Xiaomi Home/Mi Home region used on the buyer’s phone.
- Whether the included NFC bottle or tag is part of the specific regional package.
Without those confirmations, an imported unit may be usable but can carry avoidable risks involving returns, replacement cartridges, app pairing and electrical safety. No verified official U.S. price or purchase channel is established by the available source material.
Bottom line
Xiaomi’s Smart Filtered Water Dispenser Pro is a distinctive countertop RO appliance: it combines separate clean- and wastewater tanks, on-demand heating, fine temperature control and NFC-assisted dispensing without requiring permanent plumbing. Its practical value, however, depends less on the feature list than on local filters, voltage, app support, warranty service and long-term running costs.
For now, the accurate description is that Xiaomi listed the dispenser for international markets and has published regional product pages—not that it is automatically available worldwide or officially sold in the United States.
