Xiaomi’s Mijia Central Air Conditioner Pro is a China-market, professionally installed ducted multi-split HVAC system—not a conventional wall-mounted room air conditioner. Launched in China in February 2025, it combines multi-room cooling and heating with Xiaomi’s Lingyun smart-home controls. Reported launch prices ranged from 17,999 yuan to 29,999 yuan, while a later dual-fan range reached 51,999 yuan. There is no verified US retail, installation, warranty, or certification path for this central model in the evidence available.

That makes the product significant as Xiaomi’s move into higher-value whole-home HVAC, but not yet a straightforward option for homeowners outside supported markets.

What Xiaomi actually launched

The Mijia Central Air Conditioner Pro is designed around a single outdoor unit connected to multiple indoor units installed in ceilings or ductwork. Depending on the configuration, one outdoor unit can serve several rooms, making it more suitable for new construction, major renovations, apartments, and larger homes than for renters or simple room-by-room upgrades.

The February 2025 lineup included 5-horsepower, 6-horsepower, and large 6-horsepower systems supporting configurations from one outdoor unit to three, four, five, or six indoor units. The reported China launch offer described installation-related services—including labor, high-altitude work, and commissioning equipment—as included in the promotional package. That offer should not be treated as a worldwide Xiaomi installation policy.

  • The preset pressure is filled to a stop, and the real time tire pressure is accurately displayed, 6 preset inflation modes for beginners to operate smoothly

In December 2025, Xiaomi expanded the range with dual-fan models. These started at 25,999 yuan and extended up to an 8-horsepower, one-to-six configuration. The premium 8-horsepower dual-fan, dual-outlet version was reported at 51,999 yuan and included a smart-control display.

Unlike a portable or wall-mounted air conditioner, this is part of a building system. The design of the ductwork, refrigerant lines, condensate drainage, electrical supply, ceiling access, and service clearances will strongly affect comfort, reliability, noise, and operating cost.

Why this matters for Xiaomi’s smart-home strategy

Xiaomi has been expanding beyond phones and small connected devices into major appliances such as air conditioners, refrigerators, and washing machines. In a 2025 Hong Kong Stock Exchange filing, Xiaomi said it shipped more than 6.8 million air conditioners in 2024, representing growth of more than 50% year over year.

A central HVAC product gives the company a route into new-build homes and renovation projects, where the purchase is larger, installation is planned in advance, and multiple rooms can be connected to one smart-home ecosystem. It also moves Xiaomi closer to infrastructure normally specified by HVAC designers and contractors rather than purchased as a standalone appliance.

How the smart controls work

The central system’s main smart-home feature is Xiaomi’s Mijia Lingyun control engine. Xiaomi describes the system as adapting operating modes to room conditions, while the corporate filing confirms control through Xiaomi’s smart-home system.

In practical terms, the platform is intended to support remote control, scheduling, environmental-based mode selection, and scenes that coordinate the air conditioner with other Xiaomi devices. For example, a homeowner could potentially combine HVAC operation with smart-home routines for occupancy, sleep, or departure. The exact functions depend on the selected indoor units, controller, software version, and region.

The later dual-outlet model was reported to add human-position detection. Its advertised behavior was that warm air follows people, cool air avoids people, and the system saves energy when people leave. Those features should be attributed to that later model rather than assumed to exist across every Central Air Conditioner Pro configuration.

Smart controls are an enhancement, not a substitute for a physical HVAC controller or a properly designed system. Before buying, confirm what remains available if the Xiaomi Home app, Wi-Fi, account, or cloud service is unavailable. Also confirm that the selected model can be paired with the intended Xiaomi Home region.

Hardware and efficiency claims

Launch reporting described the original system as using a twin-cylinder compressor, a three-row evaporator, and a three-row condenser. Xiaomi or launch coverage claimed that the evaporator’s heat-exchange area increased by 22.5% and the condenser’s by 45%. The system was also described as meeting “Level 1+” energy-efficiency requirements.

These are manufacturer or launch-report claims, not independent field-test results. A larger heat exchanger does not establish a specific percentage reduction in a household’s electricity use. Actual performance depends on outdoor temperature, indoor setpoints, insulation, solar gain, duct losses, humidity, system sizing, installation quality, and operating behavior.

The later 8-horsepower dual-fan model was reported to have an APF rating of 5.40 and 6 Hz low-frequency operation. Xiaomi was also reported to claim consumption of 2.5 kWh over eight hours under specified conditions. That figure should be treated as a controlled manufacturer claim, not a prediction of a typical household bill. The applicable test standard, configuration, weather conditions, standby consumption, and installation losses matter.

Air quality and filtration

The original launch described smart air management and optional health filters. However, the available information does not establish that every configuration includes identical filtration or air-quality hardware.

Buyers should distinguish among:

  • Temperature control and air distribution;
  • Optional or model-specific health filters;
  • Air-quality monitoring provided by a particular indoor-unit configuration;
  • Purification or bacteria-removal claims; and
  • Fresh-air ventilation from outside.

The system should not be described as a whole-home air purifier unless the exact indoor units and filter package provide that capability. Air conditioning, filtration, and mechanical ventilation are different functions.

China launch pricing

The following prices were reported for the February 27, 2025 China launch. They are promotional yuan prices, not US or European installed prices.

Configuration Promotional price Reported China subsidy price

Large 6-hp, one-to-five 26,999 yuan 24,999 yuan
Large 6-hp, one-to-six 29,999 yuan 27,999 yuan

Reported accessories included a 3D outlet panel at 999 yuan and health filters from 399 yuan. Subsidies are not universal retail discounts, and installation or accessory inclusions can differ outside the original offer. Converting yuan to dollars also gives a misleading ownership comparison because ductwork, electrical work, permits, commissioning, and service networks vary by country.

The December 2025 dual-fan range

Version Configuration Reported first-sale price
Standard dual-fan 5-hp, one-to-four 25,999 yuan
Standard dual-fan 6-hp, one-to-four 27,999 yuan
Standard dual-fan Large 6-hp, one-to-five 32,999 yuan
Standard dual-fan 7-hp, one-to-six 37,999 yuan
Standard dual-fan 8-hp, one-to-six 43,999 yuan
Dual-fan, dual-outlet 8-hp, one-to-six 51,999 yuan

The dual-fan update materially expanded capacity and added airflow-related features, but it also increased the price range. The new models should be evaluated separately from the original February lineup rather than treated as identical revisions.

Do not confuse it with the global Mijia Air Conditioner Pro Eco

Product Architecture Availability evidence
Mijia Central Air Conditioner Pro China-market ducted multi-split HVAC system China launch evidence
Mijia Air Conditioner Pro Eco Wall-mounted split air conditioner Listed on Xiaomi regional/global pages

The similarly named Mijia Air Conditioner Pro Eco 2.6 kW and 3.5 kW are conventional wall-mounted split units. Xiaomi lists features such as app control, voice control, energy monitoring, sleep modes, filter reminders, and Xiaomi Home integration on relevant regional pages. The 2.6 kW model is listed for approximately 10–20 square metres, while the 3.5 kW model is a separate regional product.

Those Pro Eco units are not the ducted Central Air Conditioner Pro, are not a direct whole-home replacement, and should not be used as evidence that the central system is sold in the same country. Xiaomi states that specifications, functions, and availability vary by region.

Is it available in the United States?

US availability is not verified. The evidence supports a China launch, while Xiaomi’s global pages reviewed here list wall-mounted Pro Eco products rather than the Central Air Conditioner Pro. An overseas marketplace listing would not by itself establish official retail availability, certification, installation, or warranty support.

Importing a China-market central system would require answers about electrical standards and voltage, refrigerant and HVAC-code compliance, indoor and outdoor-unit certification, ductwork, line lengths, local permits, Xiaomi Home region restrictions, replacement parts, diagnostic tools, and technician training. A local contractor may also decline to install or service equipment they do not support.

What buyers should evaluate before specifying it

  1. Confirm regional support. Verify that the exact outdoor and indoor units are officially sold in the country, with authorized installation and warranty service.
  2. Obtain a proper load calculation. Room area alone is insufficient. Climate, insulation, windows, solar exposure, occupancy, and internal heat loads affect sizing.
  3. Review the building layout. Check duct routes, ceiling height, access panels, condensate drainage, outdoor-unit placement, and maintenance clearances.
  4. Verify electrical and refrigerant requirements. Confirm voltage, breakers, refrigerant type, allowable line lengths, and local code compliance before purchase.
  5. Audit smart-home compatibility. Confirm Xiaomi Home region support, supported indoor units, 2.4 GHz or other network requirements, and physical-control operation during internet outages.
  6. Price the complete installation. Include equipment, ductwork, electrical work, refrigerant lines, pumps, ceiling repairs, permits, commissioning, filters, and future service.
  7. Plan maintenance. Make sure filters, coils, drains, sensors, control boards, and outdoor components can be reached and replaced locally.

Central HVAC advantages and drawbacks

Potential advantages

  • One outdoor system can serve multiple zones.
  • Room-by-room scheduling and Xiaomi scenes can be integrated into a broader smart home.
  • Multiple indoor-unit configurations can suit apartments and renovation projects.
  • Remote control and environmental automation are built into the product ecosystem.

Potential drawbacks

  • Professional design and installation are unavoidable.
  • A major system fault can affect several rooms at once.
  • Duct balancing, sizing, drainage, and insulation matter more than app features.
  • Homeowners may become dependent on Xiaomi-specific controllers, parts, and software.
  • Local contractors may have more experience with established HVAC brands.
  • Independent evidence for the reported efficiency and energy-use figures is limited.

Who should consider it?

The Central Air Conditioner Pro makes the most sense for Xiaomi-focused homeowners in a supported market who are building or substantially renovating a property. It may appeal to buyers who want multi-room zoning and coordinated automation, and who can use an authorized installer familiar with the exact system.

It is a poor fit for renters, buyers seeking a quick plug-in upgrade, homeowners without reliable service support, and US buyers looking for a standard central-air replacement. It is also unsuitable for anyone making a purchase primarily on unverified energy-saving claims.

Construction and renovation implications

For construction projects, the important decision comes before ceiling finishes and service cavities are closed. The designer and HVAC contractor need to coordinate indoor-unit locations, supply and return paths, access panels, condensate slopes, refrigerant routing, electrical capacity, acoustic isolation, and outdoor-unit ventilation.

Open-plan layouts deserve particular attention: a one-to-six rating does not guarantee even comfort across a large connected space. In humid climates, cooling capacity also does not automatically guarantee adequate dehumidification. In cold climates, low-temperature heating performance requires verification for the specific model and conditions.

Apartment owners should check building rules before specifying an outdoor unit or creating new penetrations. Existing homes may face substantial retrofit costs if ductwork is unavailable or ceilings cannot accommodate the required infrastructure.

Bottom line

Xiaomi’s Mijia Central Air Conditioner Pro is a meaningful expansion into premium, whole-home HVAC, with multi-room architecture and deeper smart-home integration than a typical wall-mounted unit. But it remains primarily a China-market HVAC platform in the evidence available as of September 2026. Its real value depends on correct sizing, professional installation, regional certification, parts availability, and service support—not simply on Xiaomi branding or app control.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

For buyers outside China, compare it with a locally supported ducted multi-split or conventional central HVAC system before considering an import. If the goal is a regionally available Xiaomi air conditioner, the Mijia Air Conditioner Pro Eco pages describe a different, wall-mounted product category.
