Danica McKellar’s 2022 move from Los Angeles to a rural community near Nashville was driven by a desire for more nature and less city life. Wide Open Country reported that she listed her Rancho Park home for $3.025 million—not $3.25 million. Traded later recorded a sale price of $3,025,000 on November 15, 2022.

Why Danica McKellar moved from Los Angeles

In a November 2022 report, Wide Open Country said McKellar was preparing to move with her family and mother to a rural community near Nashville, seeking a quieter, less hectic lifestyle. The article quoted her saying, “My husband and I have been wanting more nature for a long time,” and, “We were kind of ready to not be in a city anymore.”

McKellar also connected the move to her work in Christmas films. As quoted by Wide Open Country, she said, “I am just loving the fact that my Christmas movie characters have rubbed off on me,” and called it “a wonderful example of life imitating art.” The article said she made those remarks in a recent interview with People.

What happened to the Rancho Park home

Wide Open Country described the Los Angeles property as a 3,100-square-foot house with four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The article reported an asking price of $3.025 million in November 2022. Its account said the home had sold but that the realized price was unclear at the time.
