Jennifer Aniston is reported to still own her Bel Air home, and she bought a farmhouse in Montecito in 2022. Available reporting does not confirm which property is her principal residence today, so ownership should not be mistaken for proof of where she currently lives most of the time.

Jennifer Aniston’s current homes: Bel Air and Montecito

The clearest picture from published property reporting is that Aniston has two documented California homes: a Bel Air house she is reported to still own and a Montecito farmhouse she purchased in 2022. Reporting also documented her presence at the Bel Air property in May 2025, but neither that report nor the available coverage confirms her current principal residence.

Property What reporting establishes What it does not establish
Bel Air, Los Angeles Architectural Digest reports that Aniston still owns the home. Its portfolio account says she bought it in 2012 for $20.97 million. The Associated Press described the property as a midcentury mansion on a 3.4-acre lot in a May 2025 report. Ownership and a reported visit do not establish that it is her principal residence today.
Montecito, California Architectural Digest reported that Aniston bought the farmhouse from Oprah Winfrey in 2022 for $14.8 million. A 2025 report said work was underway, but did not confirm that Aniston had moved there or made it her principal residence.

What is Jennifer Aniston’s Bel Air house like?

Architectural Digest describes the Bel Air home as a 1965 house designed by architect A. Quincy Jones. Aniston bought it in 2012 for a reported $20.97 million and worked with designer Stephen Shadley, along with Kathleen and Tommy Clements and Jane Hallworth, on its interiors. The property’s earlier renovation by Frederick Fisher had a cool, minimal character that did not suit Aniston’s taste; the later design work sought a more comfortable and inviting feel. Architectural Digest’s portfolio account reports her continued ownership, while its 2018 home feature details the architecture and interior design.

Aniston described her approach to design in the feature this way: “Sexy is important, but comfort is essential.” Shadley said she is drawn to “wood, stone, and bronze, materials that have real substance and depth.” Those comments describe the design choices reported for the house; they do not establish where she lives now.

What is known about the Montecito farmhouse?

Architectural Digest reported in 2022 that Aniston bought the Mediterranean-style farmhouse from Oprah Winfrey for $14.8 million. The magazine listed the home at 4,320 square feet, with four bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms, and described ocean and mountain views, terraces, gardens, and a private lot reached by a gated drive. These are the publication’s reported property details, not independently verified current measurements. Read Architectural Digest’s account of the purchase and property.

Realtor.com reported in 2025 that work was underway at the Montecito home and that it was unclear whether Aniston would continue using Bel Air as her main residence after the work. That report reflects what was known when it was published; it does not establish a completed renovation, a move, or her current primary home. Realtor.com’s 2025 report covers that uncertainty.

Which home does Jennifer Aniston live in: Bel Air or Montecito?

The available reporting does not settle the question. The Associated Press reported in May 2025 that Aniston was at her Bel Air home during an incident at the property. That is evidence of her presence there at that time, not proof that Bel Air remains her principal residence. The Montecito purchase and reported work there likewise do not confirm that she has moved. The Associated Press report documents the Bel Air incident.

For the most accurate answer, distinguish three things: Aniston is reported to still own the Bel Air house; she bought the Montecito farmhouse; and published reporting does not confirm which one is her principal residence now.

Jennifer Aniston’s former homes and rentals

Several properties often associated with Aniston belong to her past, not her current portfolio. Architectural Digest reports that she bought a Harold W. Levitt-designed Beverly Hills home in 2006 for $13.5 million, called it Ohana, listed it for $42 million, and sold it in 2011 for $38 million. The home had a Balinese-inspired renovation and spaces designed for entertaining.

The same account describes other historical arrangements: a Malibu beach-house rental after her 2005 split from Brad Pitt, a Beverly Hills rental with Justin Theroux, and two West Village condos she bought in 2011 and sold in 2012. Those rentals and former properties should not be treated as evidence of a current residence. Architectural Digest’s portfolio account covers this property history.
