Walmart and Angi announced a home-services partnership on January 31, 2022, so Walmart customers could buy Angi-delivered services such as furniture assembly, TV mounting, plumbing, electrical work, and flooring. Walmart’s current help pages confirm the basic ordering and appointment steps. The launch-era prices, store footprint, and guarantee terms, however, are historical claims. Check them on the live listing before you book.
What the partnership is
The partnership was Angi’s first retail integration, as Angi described it at launch. Angi’s January 31, 2022 announcement said the service catalog covered more than 150 common project types. Its examples ranged from small jobs such as assembly and TV mounting to larger work such as painting, flooring, plumbing, and electrical. TechCrunch reported the same day, and noted that financial terms were not disclosed.
Two executives were quoted in the announcement. Oisin Hanrahan, then Angi CEO, said: “We are pleased to launch Angi with Walmart, a leading global retailer, as our first retail integration.” Darryl Spinks, then Walmart Senior Director of Retail Services, said: “Angi brings experience and highly-rated pros to our customers to help them get jobs done around the home.”
What was announced in 2022, and what it means now

The launch announcement also described how bigger jobs would work. Smaller services were bought and then scheduled. For larger projects, a project advisor would give a custom quote, find a professional, and guide the project. Whether that advisor-led process still applies to a given category is not confirmed by current pages, so check the listing for the job you want.

The 2022 launch also described buying in store. Walmart’s current help page names Walmart.com and the app as the ordering channels, so treat in-store purchase as a launch-era detail unless your local store confirms it.
Scheduling, rescheduling, and cancelling
After you order, Angi sends a confirmation email. Walmart’s help guidance under “Schedule, Reschedule, or Cancel a Service” says to use that email to schedule, change, or cancel the appointment. Keep the email until the job is complete. It is the only documented route to the appointment in the sources reviewed for this article, so do not discard it after purchase.

Later use of the partnership: Christmas-light installation
In October 2022, Walmart and Angi announced an integration for Christmas-light installation and removal. It was a seasonal extension of the same arrangement, not a separate service. That announcement cited more than 200,000 pros across 500 tasks. That figure differs from the 250,000 pros in the January 2022 launch announcement. Both are company-reported, and neither has been independently checked, so treat them as approximate.
Checks before you book
- Your location: Confirm the service is offered where you live, since the 2022 store count is a launch plan, not a current map.
- The current price: Compare the quoted price on the listing with the 2022 figures of $49 for assembly and $79 for TV mounting. The listing controls.
- What the price includes: Check whether the quote covers parts, hardware, and disposal. The announcements do not say.
- TV mounting equipment: The announcements name TV mounting but do not say whether the wall mount is supplied by the pro or by you. Ask before the appointment, and do not assume the mount is included.
- Guarantee terms: The Angi Happiness Guarantee was described at launch as covering projects up to the full purchase price. Read the current wording before booking any larger job.
- Cancellation and rescheduling: Check the rules shown with your confirmation email, because they may have changed since 2022.
