It is useful for finding practical examples and peer discussion—not a substitute for official downloads or formal WAGO support.
What “WAGO tools” means in the community
Here, “tools” mostly means resources shared by people using automation software and WAGO hardware: flows, code, libraries, examples, configuration notes and answers to technical questions. The community describes itself as a place for automation users to collaborate, learn and solve challenges. Its categories cover Node-RED, Python, hardware and Linux, CODESYS, WAGO GitHub projects and partner technologies.
That makes the forum a discovery and peer-help resource. A post or project appearing there is not, by that fact alone, reviewed or endorsed by WAGO.
What you can find—and the kinds of questions it addresses
The categories connect common automation tasks with discussions from other users. Examples include running Node-RED on a PFC100, using a PFC200’s onboard serial port with Node-RED, installing Python on a controller, and accessing a CC100’s RS-485 interfaces from Linux while CODESYS is using them. CODESYS topics also include configuring and programming a 750-670 Stepper Controller.
#1 Best Overall
These are forum topic titles, not guarantees that every question has a complete answer. One title spells the controller “PCF200”; treat that as the wording of the post, not confirmation of an official model designation.
When inspected on October 4, 2026, the community home page displayed 44 Node-RED topics, 13 Python topics, 296 Hardware and Linux topics, 574 CODESYS topics and 23 Partner Technology topics. These are changeable page counts, not measures of adoption, activity, quality or user results.

- Connect any combination of solid, stranded, and flexible copper wires faster and more reliably
- Terminates 24-12 AWG for 221-41x, 20-12 AWG for 221-2401 solid
- Genuine WAGO LEVER NUTS
- Visually inspect for proper strip length and complete wire insertion through its transparent housing
- Includes: 8x 221-2401 (2 conductor inline), 8x 221-412 (2 conductor), 8x 221-413 (3 conductor), 4x 221-415 (5 conductor) with case
- Node-RED topics for flows, nodes and controller-related questions.
- Python topics for projects, snippets, libraries and setup discussions.
- Hardware and Linux topics for WAGO PFC and Edge controllers, Edge Computers and related practices.
- CODESYS topics for projects and code.
- The community home page also links to WAGO GitHub project discussions and partner-technology conversations.
Community advice is not official support
WAGO employees may contribute, but the forum’s welcome notice explicitly distinguishes it from the company’s support channel. In the April 25, 2022 announcement, author tyrone.visser wrote: “Although WAGO employees will be contributing to this forum, please note that this is not the official WAGO support channel.” The author’s corporate role is not specified in that notice.
Use the forum for peer discussion and examples. If you need timely technical support, the welcome notice directs users to regional WAGO support. For questions involving a particular controller or installation, include the exact model, firmware and software versions, what you are trying to do, and any relevant error details so others can assess whether their experience applies.

- Works for solid, stranded, and fine-stranded conductors
- Easy-to-set-up design for convenient use
- Perfect for installing long cable with larger conductor sections
Where to get official WAGO software
For official installers and product resources, use WAGO’s software downloads page and Download Center. WAGO describes downloads spanning engineering tools, firmware, documentation, libraries and CODESYS add-ons. Its Download Center documentation describes version-controlled components, dependency information, tutorials, sample projects and documentation.
The live catalog includes tools and configurators across different tasks and devices. Versions, licensing, regional availability and compatibility can change, so check the relevant current listing rather than relying on an old version number or a forum attachment. For example, WAGO’s pages identify the Device Manager and Device Sphere; confirm their current release and terms on those pages.

How to choose the right starting point
- Match the task to a category. Start with Node-RED, Python, Linux/hardware or CODESYS, depending on the software and issue involved.
- Check the exact hardware and software context. A post about a PFC200, PFC100 or CC100 may not apply to another controller. Verify model, firmware, software version and project requirements before reusing a flow or procedure.
- Separate an example from an official package. Use community posts to learn how another user approached a task; obtain official software and documentation through WAGO’s download pages.
- Escalate through the appropriate channel. Ask peers for shared experience; use regional support when you need formal technical assistance.
Do you need a WAGO controller to use the community?
No. You can browse the public forum without buying a controller. Some examples do depend on particular hardware: the topic listings include Python and Node-RED work tied to WAGO controllers. If you plan to reproduce one, identify its required model and check compatibility before choosing equipment; a PFC200 is relevant to some discussions, not a universal prerequisite.
WAGO also describes mobile software use cases such as WebVisu for monitoring and controlling automation processes and an Energy Meter Configurator app. Check the current official product pages for availability, licensing and compatible devices before relying on either for a project.
