The Bonadio Group was named to Construction Executive’s Top 50 Construction Accounting Firms list for the eighth consecutive year, according to CPA Practice Advisor’s October 8, 2026 report. The report describes a survey-based ranking of U.S. accounting firms with construction practices, but does not disclose Bonadio’s exact place on the list or its ranking score.
What the recognition means
Construction Executive (CE) included The Bonadio Group among its Top 50 Construction Accounting Firms for the eighth consecutive year, as reported by CPA Practice Advisor. The announcement establishes continued inclusion on the list; it does not establish a specific rank within the 50 firms.

Bonadio’s partner Nancy Cox, identified in the report as the firm’s Construction & Real Estate Industry Leader, said: “We are thrilled to once again be recognized as a leading accounting firm in the construction industry.”
How Construction Executive determined the list
CPA Practice Advisor says CE surveyed hundreds of U.S. accounting firms with construction practices and used an algorithm to weight seven factors in descending order of importance:
#1 Best Overall
- Construction-practice revenue for 2025.
- Number of CPAs in the construction practice.
- Construction practice’s share of total firm revenue.
- Number of construction clients in 2026.
- Number of office locations with a construction accounting practice.
- Number of employees holding a CCIFP certification.
- Year the construction accounting practice was established.
The reported method combines practice size, construction-sector activity, firm mix, staffing and longevity. It does not identify which factor, if any, was decisive for Bonadio.
What the announcement does not disclose
CPA Practice Advisor’s report does not provide Bonadio’s exact position in the Top 50, its score, or its submitted figures for any of the ranking factors. The recognition therefore should not be read as a particular placement or as evidence that one specific measure drove the result. The report also does not compare firms on service quality, fees or client outcomes; it describes a ranking based on the stated practice measures.

Bonadio’s construction practice, as described in the report
The article says the firm serves contractors, homebuilders, and material and equipment suppliers, and provides accounting, auditing, tax and consulting guidance. That is the source’s description of its practice and services, rather than an independent assessment of results or suitability for a particular business.
