A sunflower table runner adds a bright focal point without covering the entire tabletop. The best choice depends first on your table length and preferred overhang, then on fabric, finish, washability, and whether you need an indoor, outdoor, or custom-size piece.
What is a sunflower table runner?
It is a rectangular decorative textile printed, embroidered, or finished with sunflower motifs. Current listings use cotton, cotton blends, linen, polyester, and cotton/polyester fabrics. Runners work on dining tables, coffee tables, buffet surfaces, party tables, and some covered outdoor settings.
Choose the right dimensions
Measure the tabletop before choosing a pattern. Decide whether the runner will lie lengthwise, across the width, or over a tablecloth. For a lengthwise runner, allow your preferred amount of drop at each end and avoid selecting a length that leaves the design crowded against place settings.
Common listing dimensions
| Example size | Where it may fit | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Approximately 13 × 72 inches | Narrow dining or accent tables | Whether the narrower width leaves enough visual presence |
| 15 × 54 inches | Shorter tables or compact arrangements | End drop and centerpiece clearance |
| 15 × 72 inches | Standard-length dining arrangements | Table length and desired overhang |
| 16 × 72 inches | Most dining and buffet setups | Width relative to plates and serving dishes |
| 16 × 90 inches | Longer dining tables | Whether both ends can hang evenly |
| 16 × 120 inches | Extra-long tables or event layouts | Actual table length before ordering |
| 24 × 72 inches | Broad tables and more substantial coverage | Clearance for place settings at the sides |
Some Wayfair listings offer 54- or 72-inch lengths at 15 inches wide, while other examples measure 72 × 24 inches or approximately 13 × 72 inches. Etsy sellers may provide custom dimensions or selectable patterns, but confirm the finished measurements before purchase.
