What does C-10 mean on a Samsung microwave?
Samsung’s U.S. microwave troubleshooting guidance groups C-10, C-11, and C-12 under “Error with gas/easy/PH sensor.” Samsung Kazakhstan’s C10 support article calls it a cooking-sensor malfunction. These descriptions establish that the code is sensor-related, but they do not establish the exact failed part for every microwave model.
Code labels and guidance may vary by region and model. Check the model number and consult its user manual before interpreting the code as a diagnosis of a particular component.
How to reset a Samsung microwave displaying C-10
- Stop the current operation. Samsung Kazakhstan advises pressing Stop/Eco, then restarting the mode in which the error appeared.
- Disconnect power if it is safe and practical. Samsung U.S. advises switching the microwave off at the circuit breaker or unplugging it and waiting 60 seconds. The dedicated Kazakhstan C10 page specifies 30 seconds. Follow the guidance for your region and exact model rather than treating either duration as universal.
- Allow it to dry if moisture may have entered. Samsung U.S. advises letting the microwave dry after a spill or steam exposure before trying again.
- Restore power and retry the affected mode once. If C-10 reappears, stop troubleshooting and request service.
When to contact Samsung service
If the code returns after the reset, contact Samsung support or an authorized service center. Samsung U.S. says, “If the error code returns, visit the Support Center to request service.” The code is not enough to confirm a failed sensor or select a replacement part; service guidance and repair needs depend on the model and diagnosis.
