The countertop appliance combines four-stage filtered water, hot and cold dispensing, an ice maker, SmartThings connectivity, a touchscreen and Bixby voice control. Samsung lists the model RWP90H15ANC at a launch price of ₩2.39 million.
The “AI” label refers mainly to automated sterilization scheduling based on recent usage. Samsung has not confirmed a U.S. or broader international launch, so the appliance is currently most relevant to buyers in South Korea.
What Samsung’s new appliance does
The Bespoke AI Ice Purifier is designed to replace several countertop appliances with one connected unit. It dispenses room-temperature, chilled and hot purified water, while also producing and storing ice.
Samsung’s Korean product listing describes a four-stage filtration system, a front touchscreen, SmartThings integration, automatic sanitation functions and Bixby voice recognition. The appliance is not a refrigerator or a conventional standalone ice maker; it is a premium water purifier with built-in ice production.

Samsung announced three finishes: Satin Beige, Satin Greige or Satin Grey depending on the translation and sales presentation, and Soapstone Charcoal. The principal model identified on Samsung’s Korean site is RWP90H15ANC. Related RWP90H15AN-series variants also appear on Samsung’s Korean site, so buyers should check the full suffix before assuming specifications are identical.
Ice production: up to 8 kg per day
Samsung claims the appliance can produce up to approximately 1,000 ice cubes, or 8 kg, per day. It can store approximately 100 cubes.
Those are manufacturer-rated figures, not independent test results. The daily production claim should not be interpreted as 1,000 cubes being available immediately. Storage is listed at about 100 cubes, so heavy use depends on the machine continuing to make ice over time. Actual output may also vary with room temperature, water temperature, ventilation, usage and operating conditions.
For a household that regularly hosts guests, uses large quantities of ice or wants chilled drinks without filling ice trays, the capacity is the appliance’s clearest practical advantage. For people who rarely use ice, the integrated ice maker may add cost and maintenance without providing much value.

Samsung’s most specific AI feature is AI-customized sterilization. The purifier uses water-dispensing activity from the previous 28 days to identify a period when the appliance is less likely to be used. It can then schedule sanitation around that pattern.
According to Samsung’s product information:
- The direct-water pipe is sterilized every three days.
- The ice tray and ice room are sterilized every 30 days.
- With AI mode enabled, the timing can shift by up to 12 hours according to usage.
- SmartThings can display the next planned sterilization time.
- Users can disable AI-customized sterilization and choose a preferred time manually.
The feature requires a wireless connection and SmartThings integration. Samsung says AI-customized sterilization becomes available after at least one day of use, while its scheduling logic uses a longer recent usage history. This is a usage-based maintenance scheduler, not evidence that the purifier is a general-purpose AI assistant. The system does not appear to diagnose every possible water-quality, filter or mechanical problem. “Automatic” also does not mean maintenance-free: filters still require replacement, and the owner must follow Samsung’s cleaning and service instructions.
How Bixby fits in
Bixby provides voice control and user personalization rather than unrestricted conversational control of the appliance. Samsung says the purifier can recognize up to six users and apply saved preferences for water volume and temperature.

A recognized user can use a voice command to dispense water according to their stored settings. Samsung’s launch announcement also describes Bixby functions such as setting and checking a timer through the appliance’s screen and voice interface.
The product page does not establish that every Bixby command works in every country or language. Voice recognition may also depend on account setup, network connectivity and supported regional services. Samsung’s published materials confirm the six-user feature, but they do not fully resolve whether voice processing is local or cloud-based, whether all voice data can be deleted, or how voice recognition can be disabled. Buyers concerned about privacy should check the applicable Korean privacy documentation before purchase.
Water settings and smart-home features
The touchscreen provides local controls and can show information such as weather and timers. Samsung also describes lighting around the water and ice outlets and SmartThings controls for settings and maintenance monitoring.
Samsung says users can configure water volume from 50 ml to 1,000 ml in 10-ml increments, with temperature adjustable in 5-degree increments up to 90°C. It also says the appliance can store up to 20 frequently used dispensing settings, including coffee-related options and 38 ramen recipes.

These settings may be useful for households that prepare hot drinks, instant meals or coffee repeatedly. They are convenience features, however, rather than proof that the purifier can replace a dedicated coffee machine or kettle in every use case.
Filtration and hygiene claims
Samsung says the four-stage filter system is certified by NSF International and claims reduction of 82 categories of harmful substances, including microplastics and heavy metals such as lead, mercury and chromium.
That wording needs careful interpretation. Certification applies to a filtration system and particular reduction claims under specified test conditions; it does not mean the appliance removes every contaminant from every water supply or guarantees that all water is safe in every circumstance. Local water quality, plumbing condition, filter age, installation and replacement schedules still matter.
The appliance also uses several sanitation features, including:
- Electrolysis sterilization for the direct-water pipe.
- Electrolysis sterilization for the ice room and ice tray.
- UV sterilization around the ice-dispenser area.
- Automatic drainage or maintenance functions where applicable to the model and operating mode.
Samsung says testing certified by Intertek’s QPM process showed 99.9% removal of several named bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus, E. coli, Listeria, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Klebsiella pneumoniae. Samsung also states that results can vary in actual use. This should therefore be read as a qualified test result, not as a guarantee that the appliance is always 99.9% germ-free.

Price and availability
Samsung announced a South Korean launch price of ₩2.39 million. That is a Korean price, not a U.S. manufacturer’s suggested retail price. A direct dollar conversion would change with exchange rates and should not be treated as evidence of American pricing.
As of the available product information, Samsung has not established U.S., European or broader international availability for this model. A Korean Samsung product page is not proof that the appliance can be imported, installed or serviced in another country.

Who should consider it?
The Bespoke AI Ice Purifier makes the most sense for a buyer in its supported market who:
- Uses a large amount of ice throughout the day.
- Wants hot, cold and filtered water from one countertop appliance.
- Values personalized dispensing profiles and SmartThings monitoring.
- Is comfortable paying a premium for integrated features.
- Has access to Samsung’s local installation, filters and service network.
It is a weaker fit for buyers who rarely use ice, prefer simple appliances without Wi-Fi or accounts, or want independently replaceable components. A conventional purifier paired with a separate ice maker may be easier to repair or upgrade, even if it uses more counter space.
Bottom line
Samsung’s Bespoke AI Ice Purifier is an ambitious combination of a premium water purifier and high-capacity countertop ice maker. Its most useful smart feature is practical rather than futuristic: it learns usage patterns to time sterilization when the appliance is less likely to be needed. Bixby adds voice-based personalization, while SmartThings supplies app connectivity and monitoring.
