There is not enough verified evidence to publish a factual list of five Ryobi tools that Milwaukee does not offer. As of October 13, 2026, both companies’ U.S. catalogs clearly include cordless tire inflators, which rules out that category as a Ryobi-only example. A reliable comparison requires matching current models by task and form factor rather than treating a missing search result as proof that a competitor has no equivalent.
What the official catalogs establish
The strongest verified Ryobi example is the USB Lithium Smart Tire Inflator Kit FVIF52K. Ryobi describes saved PSI settings, automatic shutoff, an oversized digital pressure display, an onboard LED worklight and interchangeable USB Lithium batteries. Ryobi also states that the inflator can top off a car tire in under 90 seconds when the tire is in the specified 30–35 PSI range. That timing is a manufacturer claim under stated conditions, not an independent performance test.

Milwaukee’s catalog lists the M18 Cordless Tire Inflator 2848-20. It is rated to 150 PSI and includes automatic shutoff, four PSI memory slots and compatibility with Milwaukee M18 batteries. Therefore, cordless tire inflation cannot honestly be presented as a tool category available from Ryobi but unavailable from Milwaukee.
Why the five-tool claim cannot be verified
A claim that Milwaukee “doesn’t make” five Ryobi tools requires five model-level absences checked against a dated Milwaukee catalog. The available evidence does not provide those absences. Milwaukee’s official catalog spans trade tools and outdoor power equipment, while Ryobi’s U.S. site groups products into power tools, outdoor power, recreation, cleaning and storage. Category menus show how each brand organizes its range; they do not prove that a particular model or task is missing from the other brand.
#1 Best Overall
- Includes 2 - 18-volt lithium batteries, usable on any machine in the one+ product line; includes 18-volt dual-chemistry charger; batteries can be recharged in as little as 30 minutes
- Drill has 2 speed settings (0-440 or 0-1600 rpm), variable with a spring-loaded trigger; reciprocating saw features tool-free blade change
- Tool weights: drill, 2. 7 lbs. ; circular saw, 4. 7 lbs. ; impact driver, 2. 65 lbs. ; reciprocating saw, 4. 1 lbs. ; job plus base, 2. 15 lbs. ; work light, 0. 7 lb. ; includes carrying bag for easy portability
- Reciprocating saw's adjustable, pivoting shoe allows depth-of-cut control and more efficient use of blade; circular saw has an exact line laser, which automatically activates during use
- Work light has a multi-functional design capable of sitting flat on battery, on end or hanging for ultimate lighting versatility; swivel head directs light where needed
The same caution applies to pumps. Milwaukee lists an M18 Transfer Pump with self-priming operation, flow up to 480 gallons per hour, lift up to 18 feet and head height up to 75 feet. Any article claiming that a Ryobi pump has no Milwaukee counterpart would need to compare the exact application, flow, lift, head and included equipment before reaching that conclusion.
Ryobi’s inflator range is broader than one model
Ryobi’s inflator collection lists 12 products across its 18V ONE+ and USB Lithium systems. The collection includes the FVIF52K smart tire inflator, a USB Lithium high-volume inflator and a bike-tire/ball-pump inflator. These are useful distinctions for a buyer choosing a format, but the range does not establish that Milwaukee lacks equivalent products.
Rank #2
- Ten (10), heavy-duty tools help you tackle most household projects
- Compatible with the rest of the Ryobi ONE+ collection
- Durable bag allows for easy storage and portability
- All included tools work with any Ryobi 18-Volt ONE+ battery
| Tool or collection | Verified details | What the evidence does not prove |
|---|---|---|
| Ryobi USB Lithium Smart Tire Inflator Kit FVIF52K | Saved PSI, automatic shutoff, digital display, LED light, swappable USB Lithium battery; “under 90 seconds” top-off claim at 30–35 PSI | That Milwaukee has no comparable inflator |
| Ryobi inflator collection | 12 products across 18V ONE+ and USB Lithium, including high-volume and bike/ball formats | That each format is unique to Ryobi |
| Milwaukee M18 Cordless Tire Inflator 2848-20 | 150 PSI maximum, automatic shutoff, four PSI memory slots, M18 battery compatibility | How its real-world performance compares with the FVIF52K |
| Milwaukee M18 Transfer Pump | Self-priming; up to 480 gallons per hour; lift up to 18 feet; head height up to 75 feet | That a Ryobi pump has no Milwaukee equivalent |
How to make a defensible Ryobi-versus-Milwaukee list
- Set the scope. State that the comparison is U.S.-focused and give the catalog-check date. Product availability and lineups change.
- Match the task first. Compare tire inflation with tire inflation, transfer pumping with transfer pumping and so on. Do not compare unlike tools simply because they share a battery voltage.
- Match the form factor. A compact USB Lithium inflator, a high-volume inflator and a bike pump may serve different jobs even when all are called inflators.
- Record the model number. A brand-level category search is not enough. Save the exact model, battery platform and stated application.
- Compare useful specifications. For inflators, record maximum pressure, automatic shutoff, memory presets, display, lighting, hose or nozzle accessories and battery compatibility. For pumps, record flow, lift, head and self-priming capability.
- Label uncertainty honestly. “Not found in the catalog checked on [date]” is different from “the competitor does not make one.” Only the latter is justified by a comprehensive, documented absence review.
What a construction buyer should take from the evidence
Choose the FVIF52K if its USB Lithium format, saved pressure settings, display and compact top-off use fit your vehicles or equipment. Treat the under-90-second figure as conditional on the stated 30–35 PSI scenario. Choose based on your existing battery ecosystem, required pressure or volume and the accessories you actually need.
If your crew already uses Milwaukee M18 batteries, the 2848-20 is a directly relevant alternative rather than an omission. Its published 150 PSI maximum and four memory slots address the same broad tire-inflation task, although the available information does not establish a head-to-head performance result.

Bottom line on the original headline
The evidence supports a useful comparison of Ryobi’s inflator formats and a documented FVIF52K product explanation. It does not support saying that five useful Ryobi tools are unavailable from Milwaukee. A publishable five-item article should wait until each proposed tool has been checked, model by model, against a dated Milwaukee U.S. catalog.
