The useful question now is what each deal actually included, which installation it suited, and what to verify before buying a comparable Reolink camera.

The original article identified Amazon’s Reolink store as the sales channel and disclosed sponsored and affiliate content. A displayed list price is not proof of a product’s usual selling price, so compare any replacement offer with recent checkout prices rather than the crossed-out figure alone.
Reolink E1: inexpensive indoor pan-and-tilt monitoring
The E1 deal covered a 2K, mains-powered indoor Wi-Fi camera with pan-and-tilt movement, motion tracking, alerts, schedules, night vision and recording to a microSD card or supported Reolink Home Hub, according to BGR’s description.
- Installation: it needs an indoor power outlet and is not a weatherproof outdoor camera.
- Coverage: pan-and-tilt can improve a room view, but walls, furniture and placement still create blind spots; tracking can lose a person or follow another moving object.
- Storage: local recording requires separately supplied storage unless you use a supported hub. Confirm whether a card is included in the exact listing.
- Model check: Reolink has used the E1 name for different generations and resolutions, so verify the exact submodel before comparing specifications.
Argus PT Ultra bundle: two outdoor cameras plus solar charging
The advertised kit contained two Argus PT Ultra cameras, two solar panels and one Reolink Home Hub. BGR highlighted 4K video, color night vision, dual-band Wi-Fi, pan-and-tilt, motion tracking, patrol functions and centralized recording.

Reolink’s current U.S. Argus listing describes the Argus PT Ultra as an 8MP/4K camera with 355-degree pan and 140-degree tilt, color night vision, dual-band Wi-Fi, person, vehicle and animal detection, weather resistance and Home Hub compatibility: official Argus series listing. That exact 355-degree specification is preferable to the rounded “360-degree” wording in the older promotion.
What the hub changes
A Home Hub can centralize recordings and camera management. Reolink positions the product family around local storage without a required monthly fee, but the standard Home Hub, Home Hub Mini and Home Hub Pro have different storage and camera-capacity limits. Solar and battery limitations
- A solar panel needs suitable sun exposure; shade, winter conditions and persistent cloud reduce charging.
- Battery life changes with temperature, motion frequency, recording settings and live-view use.
- “Wireless” describes the network connection, not unlimited power. A solar panel does not guarantee perpetual operation.
- Battery cameras are generally less suitable than wired cameras for uninterrupted 24/7 recording.
CX810: a wired PoE option
The CX810 was presented as a 4K ColorX PoE camera with an F1.0 aperture, person and animal detection, an integrated spotlight and configurable siren. Its $87.99 figure was a May 2025 deal claim, not a verified current price.

Power over Ethernet sends power and data over Ethernet cabling. You need compatible cable, a PoE switch, NVR or injector, plus a recording and network arrangement that supports the camera. It is therefore a poor fit for renters who cannot run cable or anyone seeking a battery camera.

Color night vision can improve low-light footage, but results depend on ambient light and supplemental illumination; it should not be read as identical to daytime performance in complete darkness. Check compatibility with your specific Reolink NVR, switch, app and firmware. Current CX810 availability and pricing were not verified in the official-store results.
Are the discounts genuinely compelling?
The dollar discount tells only part of the story. The E1 saved about $8 on a single indoor camera, while the bundle saved $72 but supplied two cameras, two panels and a hub. The CX810’s 20% reduction matters most when you already own the wired infrastructure it requires.
