That is a construction schedule date—not a confirmed restaurant opening. Local reporting describes the site as down the block from a Chick-fil-A and says a city decision addresses a second drive-thru lane, while cautioning that not every approval may be complete.
Where is the Lakewood Raising Cane’s planned?
Washington State Department of Ecology’s facility record identifies the project as “Raising Canes 1352” at 10025 Lakewood Dr SW, Lakewood, Pierce County. MyNorthwest reported on October 8, 2026, that the site is down the block from a Chick-fil-A on Lakewood Drive. The state record confirms the Cane’s address but does not establish the distance between the restaurants.

When could construction begin, and when might it open?
Ecology lists active Construction Stormwater General Permit coverage and project schedule dates of October 21, 2026, through May 29, 2027. These are dates recorded for the project, not an announcement that work will begin exactly on the first date or that the restaurant will open by the last. The reviewed sources do not establish a public opening date.

Has Raising Cane’s confirmed the Lakewood restaurant?
In its October 8, 2026 report, MyNorthwest said Raising Cane’s had not responded to its emails about the new projects and that the company website did not list Lakewood or Puyallup at the time. That is the outlet’s account as of publication, not a statement about the company’s current communications or listings.
