No confirmed Pelko schematic appears in the discussion. A respondent named Irving offered a reverse-engineering hypothesis: a ceramic resistor might supply reduced voltage to a low-voltage controller, while a zero-crossing and ramp-comparator arrangement could control a triac and fan speed. Because this is a mains-powered appliance, live testing can expose a person to dangerous voltage. If you do not have the training, appropriate equipment, and model-specific service information to work safely, do not energize an exposed controller or attempt a live repair; seek a qualified appliance technician. The discussion is too limited to establish whether repairing this model is generally practical or preferable to replacement. For an individual unit, weigh the actual symptom and the scope of the damage against the availability of a trustworthy schematic and compatible parts, as well as the repairer’s competence with mains-voltage equipment. A component that appears replaceable does not by itself prove the board or heater is safe after repair.
