Tourism and the visitor target
Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) reported 1.35 million visitors in 2025 and a 12% increase in tourism revenue. Its stated ambition is to exceed 3.5 million visitors annually by 2030. The visitor goal is a target, not a result already achieved. RAKTDA also says the emirate has 8,500 hotel keys and intends to double that inventory in the coming years; the doubling is an ambition, not a confirmed completion schedule. RAKTDA’s first-half 2026 update counted more than 670,000 visitors, calling it a record first half. The authority also reported that Wynn Al Marjan Island remained on track for 2027. That schedule is a reported status at the time of the update, and development timelines can change.

The same update described Marjan Beach as an 85 million sq ft masterplanned development intended to include eight neighbourhoods, 22,000 residential units, and 12,000 hotel keys. These figures describe authority-reported plans, not completed homes or hotel capacity. However, the cited tourism updates do not demonstrate that visitor growth causes residential property appreciation, guarantees occupancy, or produces a particular rental yield. Tourism targets, hotel expansion plans, and population forecasts are useful indicators of intended growth, but they are not substitutes for project-level evidence or independent transaction data.
