The Orioner Z6 was marketed as a remarkably small everyday-carry folding knife, with a reported length of 1.6 inches and weight of 0.48 ounces. Its compact size and decorative materials are the clear draw; the available coverage does not establish how comfortable it is to hold, how well it cuts over time, or how durable its lock is. Its Kickstarter campaign has ended, and current retail availability is not confirmed.
What is the Orioner Z6?
Gear Patrol described the Z6 as a tiny folding knife built around a Damascus steel blade and a grade 5 titanium frame. The article reports a 1.6-inch length and 0.48-ounce weight, but does not clarify whether the length refers to the folded knife or another measurement. Those figures are reported specifications, not independently measured results. Gear Patrol’s March 24, 2026 article presents it as a tool for small jobs such as opening boxes and cutting tape, paper, or plastic packaging.
Reported construction and features
- Blade: Gear Patrol says it uses 67-layer Damascus steel. The reviewed coverage does not name the component steels, heat treatment, or hardness.
- Frame: Gear Patrol describes a CNC-machined, sandblasted grade 5 titanium frame.
- Carry and utility details: Reported features include a bottle-opener groove, a keyring hole, and a magnetic pocket clip.
- Lock: The article identifies a snap pin lock, but the sources do not include durability testing.
Descriptions of edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness should be read as claims associated with the materials, not verified findings about this particular blade. The reviewed sources provide no independent test results or long-term use data.
Is the Orioner Z6 available to buy now?
The available sources do not confirm current retail stock, a direct purchase route, or an Amazon listing for the exact Z6. Kickstarter lists its campaign as ended, so its campaign-era prices are not current offers or proof that the knife is now available.

What can—and can’t—be concluded about using it?
The reported dimensions and weight make the Z6’s compact carry proposition easy to understand, and Gear Patrol describes it for light cutting tasks. But the coverage does not show how much usable grip the small frame provides, how effectively the blade cuts, or how the knife performs after repeated use. It also does not state the blade length or warranty, or establish production status and successful delivery to backers.
