The OmniPro 2.0 is a second-generation titanium pocket tool built around an adjustable wrench—not the pliers found on conventional multitools. Its two major additions over the original OmniPro are a fold-out, replaceable #11 surgical blade and an integrated magnetic graphite “everlasting” pen. The manufacturer currently lists it at $139; the product page showed it in stock when checked.

For construction workers, makers, technicians, cyclists, and workshop users, the important question is not how many functions it claims. It is whether a compact 0–18 mm wrench, caliper, 1/4-inch driver, marking tool, and light-duty cutter match the jobs you actually do.

What the OmniPro 2.0 is

The OmniPro 2.0 is a compact, wrench-centered EDC multitool made from Grade 5 titanium. Its primary tool is an adjustable wrench with a published range of 0–18 mm. That makes it fundamentally different from plier-based multitools such as many models from Leatherman or Victorinox.

Its manufacturer-listed functions include:

  • Adjustable metric/imperial wrench and caliper
  • Reversible 1/4-inch ratcheting driver
  • Magnetic storage for bits
  • Replaceable #11 blade
  • Integrated magnetic graphite pen
  • Bottle opener
  • Ceramic glass breaker
  • Ruler
  • Phone-stand groove
  • Lanyard hole
  • Optional slots for tritium vials

The complete feature and specification list is published on the manufacturer’s product page. These are published specifications and product claims, not independent test results.

What is new in version 2.0?

Change Practical significance
Fold-out replaceable #11 blade Adds a compact precision-cutting option for tape, packaging, cord, labels, and similar light-duty work.
Integrated graphite “everlasting” pen Provides a built-in marking and backup-writing tool without an ink cartridge.
Larger adjustment knob and wrench opening Reportedly makes wrench adjustment easier and expands the tool’s working range.
Dual-scale caliper Adds metric and imperial measurement markings.
Click-lock bit compartment Improves retention of the stored bits, according to secondary reporting.
Curved grip Reportedly improves handling and comfort.
Ceramic window-breaker tip Replaces the earlier tungsten tip, according to coverage of the revision.
Additional tritium slots Creates more places to install optional illumination vials; the slots do not mean vials are included.

The blade and pen are the clearest functional additions. The other changes are revisions to the original design reported by SlashGear and should be understood as claimed design improvements rather than independently measured gains.

The new #11 blade: useful, but not a pocket-knife replacement

The OmniPro 2.0 uses a fold-out, replaceable #11 surgical or scalpel-style blade. That format is well suited to controlled, light-duty tasks such as:

  • Opening boxes and packaging
  • Cutting tape, tags, and labels
  • Trimming cord
  • Removing plastic ties
  • Making small precision cuts

It is not the same as carrying a full-size folding knife or utility knife. A #11 blade is small, specialized, and extremely sharp. The compact grip may also provide less control and leverage than a dedicated cutter, particularly when working through thick material or while wearing gloves.

Inspect the folding and locking mechanism before use. Do not force a dull or damaged blade; replace it instead. Replacement blades should be handled and disposed of as sharps rather than placed loose in ordinary household or job-site waste.

The blade also changes where the tool can be carried. Airport security, schools, workplaces, construction sites, venues, carriers, and local laws may impose different restrictions. There is no universal answer to whether the OmniPro 2.0 is legal or acceptable to carry. Check the rules for the specific jurisdiction and location before bringing it to a job, flight, or event.

The integrated graphite pen: best as a marking backup

The manufacturer describes the built-in writing implement as an “everlasting pen”—a magnetic graphite marker that does not use conventional ink. It could be useful for marking cardboard, wood, parts, packaging, or measurement points, and for making short notes when a normal pen is unavailable.

However, graphite is not automatically a full replacement for a ballpoint or mechanical pencil. The manufacturer’s claim that it writes on most surfaces should be treated as a product claim, not a universal test result. Performance may vary on glossy, dark, wet, or dirty surfaces, and graphite can be faint or smear. Carry a conventional pen if you regularly sign documents, write long notes, or need consistent marks in the field.

Core tools for construction and repair

Adjustable wrench and caliper

The wrench is the reason to choose this tool over a conventional plier multitool. It can address small nuts, bolts, fittings, and fasteners up to the published 18 mm maximum. The integrated scale also functions as a metric/imperial caliper and ruler.

That range is useful for small adjustments and inspections, but it does not replace a full-size adjustable wrench. Compact jaws provide less leverage, and an incorrectly seated adjustable wrench can slip or round a fastener. For stubborn, corroded, or high-torque work, use the correctly sized dedicated wrench instead.

Ratchet driver and bit storage

The reversible 1/4-inch ratcheting driver extends the tool’s usefulness around hardware, panels, fixtures, bicycles, and small equipment. The product package includes two pre-installed 1/4-inch bits, while the tool uses magnetic bit storage.

Before buying, confirm that the included bits match the fasteners you encounter. The available product information does not establish current prices or availability for additional bits, replacement pen components, tritium vials, clips, sheaths, or extra blades. Keep the bit compartment clean: dirt or metal debris can interfere with magnetic retention and make small bits difficult to remove.

Glass breaker and secondary features

The tool includes a ceramic glass breaker, bottle opener, phone-stand groove, lanyard hole, and tritium-ready slots. These features may be convenient, but they should not be treated as substitutes for dedicated emergency or workshop equipment. In particular, the listing does not independently demonstrate the breaker’s effectiveness, and tritium vials are not established as included accessories.

The product page also lists an IPX-8 waterproof claim. No independent immersion testing or detailed test documentation is provided in the available material, so it should be regarded as an unverified manufacturer specification rather than proof of field waterproofing.

What comes in the box?

The manufacturer lists:

  • One OmniPro 2.0 tool
  • Two pre-installed 1/4-inch bits
  • One pre-installed graphite “everlasting” pen
  • One replacement blade

Customization and add-ons are mentioned, but pictured accessories should not be assumed to be included unless the order specifically lists them. OmniPro 2.0 versus the original OmniPro

Area Original OmniPro OmniPro 2.0
Basic format Titanium wrench-centered multitool Same wrench-centered concept
Cutting tool No listed integrated #11 blade Fold-out, replaceable #11 blade
Writing tool No listed integrated graphite pen Magnetic graphite “everlasting” pen
Wrench and adjustment Earlier configuration Reported larger opening and adjustment knob
Measurement Earlier caliper configuration Reported dual-scale caliper
Bit storage Earlier compartment design Reported click-on locking mechanism
Ergonomics and breaker Earlier grip and breaker configuration Reported curved grip and ceramic breaker tip

The strongest upgrade case is therefore practical rather than numerical: version 2.0 combines a cutter and marking tool with the original wrench, driver, and caliper format. Whether the revisions feel better in use depends on the task and cannot be established from specifications alone.

Compactness brings real trade-offs

At 4.98 ounces with bits, the OmniPro 2.0 is pocketable but not weightless. Its titanium body may appeal to users who want corrosion resistance and a premium lightweight material, while the integrated bit compartment, blade, and pen can reduce the number of separate small tools carried.

The compromises are equally important:

  • The 0–18 mm wrench cannot handle larger fasteners.
  • A short tool has less leverage than a full-size wrench.
  • Small mechanisms can be awkward with gloves or in dirty environments.
  • The #11 blade is better for precision cutting than sustained heavy cutting.
  • The graphite pen may not replace a conventional writing instrument.
  • The blade and glass breaker can make loose pocket carry unsuitable in some settings.
  • A highly integrated tool may be harder to repair than separate dedicated tools.

Who should buy it?

The OmniPro 2.0 makes the most sense for someone who regularly needs a small adjustable wrench and also values an integrated 1/4-inch driver, caliper, titanium construction, replaceable cutter, and backup marker. It is particularly relevant to EDC users, makers, technicians, cyclists, and workshop users handling small hardware.

It is a weaker choice for anyone whose normal work centers on pliers, wire cutting, scissors, files, saws, or heavy-duty repair. A conventional plier-based multitool will generally be the more natural format for those jobs. A dedicated adjustable wrench plus pocket knife will offer better performance for serious wrenching and cutting, while a dedicated utility knife will be easier to control and maintain for frequent cutting. A normal pen or mechanical pencil will also write more predictably.

At $139, the OmniPro 2.0 is a premium EDC purchase, not a budget multitool. Its value depends on consolidation and material preference—not on getting the greatest number of nominal functions for the least money.

Price, availability, shipping, and warranty

The manufacturer’s current product listing shows the OmniPro 2.0 at $139 and marked in stock. The same page says products containing blades may take an estimated 15–30 business days to arrive, offers free worldwide shipping above $50, and recommends a physical street address rather than a P.O. Box. Customs, carrier policies, and local blade restrictions can change the actual delivery experience.

Earlier crowdfunding coverage reported a $99 late-pledge price, more than 500 backers, and nearly $75,000 pledged. That was campaign pricing and traction reported by SlashGear; it should not be confused with the current direct-sale price.

The product page advertises a lifetime warranty and 30-day return policy. Before ordering, check the linked terms for exclusions, damage coverage, return-shipping responsibility, international eligibility, and how consumables such as blades are treated.

Bottom line

The OmniPro 2.0 is a more self-contained version of an unusual tool concept: a compact titanium adjustable wrench with a bit driver and caliper, now supplemented by a replaceable #11 blade and integrated graphite pen. Those additions are genuinely useful for light cutting and marking, but they do not turn it into a general-purpose plier multitool or a substitute for full-size workshop tools.

Buy it if the wrench-centered format matches your everyday work and you are comfortable with the $139 premium, small-tool limitations, and blade-related carry rules. Skip it if you primarily need pliers, scissors, heavy leverage, a dedicated knife, or a blade-free tool for travel and restricted workplaces.
