Nosh is an automated countertop cooking appliance, not a fully independent kitchen robot. You still need to buy and usually wash, chop, portion, and load the ingredients, fill the water, oil, and spice compartments, choose a supported recipe, and clean the cooking parts afterward. What Nosh automates is the cooking stage: its induction system, dedicated pan, and stirrer execute selected one-pot recipes through an app.
That makes it potentially useful for households that regularly cook curries, grains, pasta, porridge, and similar meals. It is a much poorer fit for anyone expecting automated shopping, chopping, baking, grilling, shaping, or large-scale weekly meal preparation. U.S. pricing and delivery also remain unclear on the public pages reviewed.

What is Nosh?
Nosh, made by Nosh Robotics/Euphotic Labs, is marketed as an “AI-powered robo-chef.” In practical terms, it is a connected countertop cooking system designed to prepare selected recipes from prepared ingredients.
The typical workflow is:
- Buy, wash, peel, and chop ingredients—or receive prepared ingredients through a compatible service.
- Load them into Nosh’s ingredient tray.
- Fill the water, oil, and spice compartments.
- Install the dedicated Nosh pan and stirrer.
- Select a supported recipe in the app and start cooking.
- Remove and serve the food, then clean the removable components.
Nosh therefore removes much of the active stirring, heat management, and recipe execution. It does not remove the entire meal-preparation chain.
How the hardware works
According to Nosh’s U.S. product page, the appliance uses a five-compartment ingredient tray, an eight-compartment spice tray, separate water and oil containers, a dedicated pan and stirrer, an exhaust filter, induction heating, Wi-Fi, and a camera for viewing preparation. The pan is proprietary: you cannot simply substitute an ordinary saucepan.
The company lists these specifications for the product, although buyers should confirm them against the exact production model and country version:
- Dimensions: 525 × 460 × 550 mm
- Weight: approximately 33 kg
- Heating: 2,000-watt induction
- Capacity: up to four servings
- Spice storage: eight compartments, 100 ml each
- Water container: 1,800 ml
- Oil container: 900 ml
- Connectivity: 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi
- Power compatibility: 110V and 220V, according to the product page
Nosh’s FAQ describes the footprint as roughly comparable to a slightly larger 28-liter microwave, while the product page gives the more precise metric dimensions above. Reserve clearance for loading, ventilation, opening the machine, and removing parts for cleaning. At around 33 kg, this is realistically a permanent-counter appliance rather than something most owners will store in a cupboard after every use.
What can Nosh cook?
Nosh is best suited to repeatable, stirred, saucy, or one-pot dishes. Company examples include poha, pulao, pasta, kadai paneer, chicken curry, biryani, carrot halwa, kheer, risotto, macaroni and cheese, ramen, wok noodles, and other curries.
The company gives approximate cooking times of 15 minutes for poha, 30 minutes for curries, and 50 minutes for biryani. These are manufacturer estimates, not independently tested timings.

Nosh’s public pages also give conflicting recipe totals: the U.S. product page says more than 120 dishes, while the U.S. home page says more than 500 recipes. Those figures may refer to different catalogs, regions, or product stages, but the pages do not reconcile them. Treat both as company claims and ask which catalog applies to the model and country you are buying.
What Nosh cannot cook
The limitations matter more than the “robot chef” label. Nosh is not designed for recipes that require:
- Shaping, such as roti or idli
- Flipping, such as a whole fish
- Unsupported ingredient processing before cooking
- Whole cuts of some meats; the FAQ specifically says it can cook minced mutton
- Unprepared pulses in every case; some recipes require pre-boiled toor dal or moong dal
It should not be treated as a substitute for a stovetop, oven, microwave, food processor, knife, cutting board, or grocery-preparation service. The FAQ says Nosh can reheat food cooked in Nosh, but is not intended to reheat arbitrary foods such as burgers or pizza.
What does “AI” mean here?
Nosh describes the system as AI-powered and advertises personalization for salt, spice, and oil, along with cooking intelligence that adjusts heat and timing. The app handles recipe selection and remote-control features.
That does not establish that Nosh understands arbitrary natural-language instructions, invents safe recipes, recognizes every ingredient with computer vision, or substitutes missing ingredients autonomously. The public material does not explain how much of the system is generative AI versus programmed recipes and control logic.

A more accurate description is software-controlled cooking automation with personalization. The company also says the camera views the pan and that the device has no microphones. Those are first-party claims; the public pages do not explain whether video is stored, transmitted, or processed in the cloud.

How much meal preparation does Nosh remove?
Consider a normal curry cycle. You would still buy or receive the ingredients, chop them, load the five ingredient compartments, add oil, water, and spices, install the pan and stirrer, and start the recipe in the app. Nosh then cooks for roughly 30 minutes, depending on the dish. You remove the finished curry and clean the pan, stirrer, trays, and other components.
That can reduce active stove time and make repeat cooking more consistent, but it does not eliminate mise en place. The central question is not simply “Does Nosh cook automatically?” It is “How much chopping, measuring, loading, and cleaning am I willing to do before pressing Start?”
Is Nosh good for meal prep?
Nosh may suit:
- Couples and families with predictable meal routines
- People who regularly eat curries, grains, pasta, porridge, or other one-pot dishes
- Users willing to chop ingredients ahead of time
- Households that prefer freshly cooked food over reheated meals
- People who value repeatable seasoning and hands-off cooking
- Households for which a four-serving batch is enough
It is less suitable for:
- People expecting shopping, washing, chopping, and portioning to be automated
- Five-day bulk meal prep or large-volume cooking
- Households needing several different meals at once
- Foods that are baked, grilled, fried, shaped, flipped, crisped, or presentation-sensitive
- Anyone without permanent counter space
- Users unwilling to clean cooking components after use
- Buyers who need a confirmed U.S. delivery date and final price before paying
Four servings may cover a family dinner, but it is not automatically equivalent to a week of meal prep. Portion sizes vary, and a high-volume user may need multiple cycles or a larger batch cooker.
Cleaning and everyday ownership
The product page says the pan, stirrer, trays, water and oil containers, and exhaust filter require cleaning. It describes washing the water and oil containers and filter after roughly every 10 cooking sessions, while the cooking components still need attention as part of normal use.

That maintenance is important for food residue, odors, and cross-contamination. Nosh changes the labor of cooking; it does not make cleanup disappear. Buyers should also ask about replacement pans, stirrers, filters, and trays before ordering.

Nosh’s FAQ says preloaded recipes can run without internet access. Internet is reportedly required for downloading new recipes and obtaining support. That does not establish whether remote starts, app controls, telemetry, or software updates work offline.
Induction is not microwave heating. The pan and food can become hot, and removable parts may remain warm after cooking. Remote cooking deserves particular caution: a remote command is only as safe as the ingredient loading, liquid levels, device state, ventilation, connectivity, and the user’s plan for food after the cycle ends. The public pages do not provide a complete remote-start safety protocol, so users should not assume that “hands-off” means safe to ignore the appliance indefinitely.
The company says the camera views the pan and that Nosh has no microphones. Before buying, check the privacy policy for camera handling, cloud storage, account requirements, and data retention.

The FAQ says CE, FCC, FDA, and UL certifications were “planned for 2024.” That wording does not confirm completed certification in 2026. U.S. buyers should request current certification and electrical documentation for the exact model before purchase.

Price and availability
The India-facing site lists Nosh at ₹89,999. That is not necessarily the U.S. price or the price of the same version.
U.S. pages show a reservation funnel rather than a clearly stated final retail purchase. One page advertises a $25 refundable reservation, while a separate campaign page lists $29. The campaign also promoted $500 off, free shipping, and six months of recipe subscription. Its July 26 batch deadline was already past by August 18, 2026, so it should not be treated as current availability information.
The public U.S. pages reviewed do not clearly establish a final retail price or firm current delivery date. Before paying a reservation, verify the refund terms, expected ship date, warranty geography, shipping costs, electrical compatibility, replacement-part availability, customer-support coverage, and the recipe catalog available in your country.

How Nosh compares with other approaches

A multicooker is generally more established and flexible but requires more hands-on preparation. Meal kits reduce planning but do not automate cooking. Smart ovens handle baking and roasting better. Guided cooking systems offer broader manual participation. Scheduled meal ecosystems may integrate more tightly with prepared food. These are different solutions, not direct equivalents.
Verdict
Nosh is most credible as a specialized automated one-pot cooking appliance for people who accept ingredient preparation and want less active cooking time. It could be a useful fit for predictable four-serving meals, especially curries, grains, pasta, and similar dishes.
It is not yet accurate to treat Nosh as a universally autonomous kitchen robot. You still provide much of the preparation, use a dedicated pan, clean the system, and work within a defined recipe set. With conflicting recipe counts, unclear final U.S. pricing and delivery, and certification claims that need current confirmation, cautious buyers should verify the exact model and terms before reserving one.
