The announcement calls it “California’s Largest” in its headline, but it supplies no comparison set or definition of “largest.” The superlative therefore cannot be confirmed from the announcement; the stated dimensions alone do not establish a statewide ranking.

LUYTEN and Concretta Homes describe intended applications in fire-resistant concrete housing and seawall or coastal-protection construction. LUYTEN says it has demonstrated concrete deposition in submerged environments and presents that experience as relevant to possible marine construction. The release provides no technical paper or third-party verification of that claim, so it should be understood as the company’s reported capability rather than established evidence that the system is approved or proven for Long Beach seawalls.
The release also says LUYTEN has printer deployments on five continents. It reports that the company delivered Heptapod in December 2021, describing it as Australia’s first full-scale, engineering-certified, structurally code-compliant 3D-printed building, and delivered a multi-storey 3D-printed house in February 2025.
